His team has filed for dismissal of the grand jury indictment, arguing that the prosecution gave improper jury instructions, acted in bad faith, and failed to present exculpatory evidence. It also came to light that Baldwin was offered the same plea deal provided to first assistant director Dave Halls, but the prosecution withdrew the offer ten days before Baldwin’s deadline to accept. The court has since ordered and ruled on the proper instructions for the Grand Jury.I am interested to see how the prosecution responds to this voluminous motion. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podsights - https://podsights.com/privacyPodscribe - https://podscribe.com/privacyChartable - https://chartable.com/privacy

In 2024 Amber Heard still has litigation ongoing. Amber is appealing the court's dismissal of her claims against insurer New York Marine. Heard is arguing that New York Marine breached their agreement with her when they denied her independent counsel to defend her in the Virginia Defamation suit brought by Johnny Depp against her. Amber Heard had two different insurers who had hired attorneys to defend the case. New York Marine’s lawyers ceased representation of Heard before the Virginia trial. New York Marine argued that they were not obligated to provide Heard with independent counsel and, therefore, hadn’t breached their agreement with her. On January 23, 2024, Donna Adelson appeared in court for a quick status conference and to officially waive the conflict with her new attorneys. I absolutely love The Emily Show and follow her on YouTube (Emily D. Baker) as well as on patreon. She is quite literally the only creator I've followed on every platform because her content is THAT good. She's intelligent, hilarious, down to earth and she takes all the legal mumbo jumbo and brings it down to earth in relatable ways. (Don't be shocked with her love of the cursey words and I dare you not to laugh when you figure out what she calls a "motion to preserve evidence" lol. Love The Emily Show! 5/5 stars! Highly educational and entertaining.
