Just as Peter in the Bible was taught that God loves and accepts all people of any sort, even those previously seen as unclean, we must be willing to look at others through God’s eyes. Regardless of the possibility of feeling uncomfortable, we must be willing to say yes to God when He calls us to reach out to other people.

When we look at ourselves simply for who we are, we do not normally see someone great. However, because God is in us if we have chosen to follow Him, He has adopted us into His family and it is only because of Him that we are great.

While we believe that God is all-knowing and all-powerful to intervene for us on our behalf, He has also invited us into the practice of intercessory prayer. Just as others may have held us up in prayer at times when we thought we couldn’t make it, we must also hold others up in prayer and follow the Holy Spirit’s prompting for obedience.

Life comes with suffering and tragedy, maybe already experienced or maybe sometime in the near or distant future. We must learn to trust God through every circumstance, knowing that His understanding of things is so much greater than we could ever wrap our minds around.

When people encounter Christians, they are coming so close to Christ without even knowing it. We must obey God’s leading to share the Gospel with others, whether or not they choose to be close-minded.

We don’t have to do huge things to please God, but rather it’s in the small changes everyday that we sacrifice ourselves for His sake that He is pleased. Start small and obey his leading to make bigger changes down the road, but start somewhere today.

The true mark of a Christ follower is that they bear spiritual fruit that points to God’s work in their lives. When we repent of our sin and give all the crap in our lives to God, He is able to use everything, no matter how messy, to produce a fruitful, God-glorifying Christian.

When a person becomes a believer they are born again spiritually and need to be cared for and nurtured as a new infant. If you are a new believer, look for others who can disciple you. If you are a growing Christian, look for new believers who need help to grow spiritually.

God is sovereign over all those in authority here on earth, and He has appointed each on to their place. While we may not understand His reasons, we must trust Him and obey His command to honor the authorities above us, submit to them, and pray for them.

The Bible is very specific on instructing men and women to resist temptation for sexual sin. No matter what the culture says, giving into lustful desires outside of marriage will lead to destructive fire in our lives. The devil lures us with all sorts of temptations to distract us from coming to God in repentance, receiving His forgiveness and avoiding the fires of eternal hell.

When looking at Scripture, it can be as confusing as looking at a sheet of paper with a whole bunch of random dots on it. We need someone to disciple us and connect the dots so that we can then disciple others and connect the dots for them.

Jesus set a perfect example of being a servant by doing the dirty job of washing feet and serving someone who He knew would betray Him. We are also called to serve, whether or not that means getting dirty, and whether or not the people we serve deserve it.

Too often we become discontent with our circumstances, whether it be something continual like the place we work or difficult situations that come up every now and then. No matter where we are at any given time, we need to ask God to show us how He wants to use us in the place that He has put us.

The Bible teaches us that all of our thoughts and actions will be judged and we will be rewarded accordingly. While we can be saved through faith in Jesus Christ and make it into Heaven, we are instructed to live obedient lives that glorify God on earth.

There are people all over the planet who suffer for being a Christian. Some lose their jobs while others lose their lives. Jesus suffered and died for us and when we suffer for Him we get a taste of what the Kingdom is about.

It is crucial in the Christian life to find a church, commit to it as God leads, and stick with it even if it gets hard or we may get offended. God created us to not live alone, and in order to live in the way He created us to it means that we must have whole hearted devotion to a church family, building relationships and fellowshipping together.

Since God is the provider of all of our needs, we must not fear being persecuted for the Gospel and receiving possible consequences of hate or loss. When the Spirit leads us to speak, we must speak and trust God to take care of the rest.

When Jesus walked the earth He healed many people and taught His disciples to do the same. God wants to use us to do His work, so without knowing His purposes it is important to obey Him in whatever He calls us to do. When we respond to Him with trust and obedience in small stuff, He will use us for bigger things.

While the world is full of people striving for self-made success, only true success can be found in following Christ. When we submit our lives to Him, it is inevitable that we will grow into a position to lead and disciple others, leaving successors on this earth when we go to Heaven.

God is capable of doing seemingly impossible things, and He wants to do those things in and through us. When we surrender our will and choose to obey whatever He tells us to do, we experience first hand His amazing power that brings about miraculous blessings.
