This week's show begins a new series called Democracy Propaganda, and it focuses on the techniques and tactics developed from the work of Sigmund Freud, his nephew, the father of Public Relations Edward Bernays, and Walter Lippmann. It will show how the Wilson administration formed a group called The Committee On Public Information to trick the non-interventionist American public into their sacrifice in a war that had nothing to do with them. This domestic propaganda dept used every means necessary, and hired big business PR men to form various ways to essentially brain wash the minds of the public and so, the war to end all wars, became the war that began eternal war. As Lippman put it, the quest for "World Democracy" began and its all been downhill ever since. We'll also look at numerous authors along the way, and talk about the study of group behaviors, psychological warfare, and the quest to learn how to control the minds of the masses. Greetings Oddities, This week I have the 13th episode in the "Those We Don't Speak Of" series for your listening pain or pleasure, all depending. I delve deep into late Hebrew University professor Israel Shahak's fantastic book Jewish History, Jewish Religion. I think this is one of the most important books to read on the subject, and from a highly credible source. After all, to understand a people, you need to understand the history and the changes in the culture, and face it, not many Americans do understand this particular subject.
