‘Make It or Break It' has a Minecraft graphic, but a real-life goal: giving seekers, skeptics, and thoughtful Christians the tools they need to understand the pre-historic Genesis stories in a world where 'Creepers and Griefers' try to blow up our faith in God--or our faith in facts and science. Topics include: the first Creation Story, the Temptation & Fall, Cain & Abel, and Tower of Babel. Bring the family or friends, and join us to discover the true bedrock that abundant life is built on! Join Rev. Sally Wright from Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village as she shares the message this week!

Throughout his ministry, Jesus said the words, “I am…” many times, each time followed by a metaphor. With each metaphor he gave us a new promise of his power and purpose. On Easter morning we hear him say the most life-giving, death-defeating "I Am" statement of all… I am the resurrection and the life!Join us on Easter for one of our faith-building, music-making, perspective-changing, Good News-proclaiming Easter services at Kaw Prairie Community Church.
Rev. Sally S. Wright, Pastoral Care Pastor at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, will bring the message at Kaw Prairie on Palm Sunday, April 2. Pastor Sally’s a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister, with a 2012 Masters of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s from Texas A&M. Pastor Dan and Laura came to admire Sally’s leadership savvy and insight during her years serving as the Heartland Presbytery’s Associate Executive, when she worked with Pastor Dan when he chaired the Presbytery’s Church Planting and Redevelopment Committee. When not at work, Sally and her wife Karen—also a Presbyterian minister—spend lots of time trying to keep up with their very active 6½ year old twins. We look forward to introducing her as she helps us begin our Holy Week journey at Kaw Prairie!

Like It, Love It, Hate It | Week 3: Hate It
This series is about relationships — the good, the great, and the not-so-great. Over the course of three weeks, we will be taking a look at the book of Matthew and discussing what it means to love those we like, love those we love, and love those we hate. Relationships are hard. Friends, family, coworkers, classmates, neighbors, and enemies… These connections are complex.
Last words can make or break a legacy. In his farewell message, Pastor Chris shares about the most meaningful last words in his life… "Next time you preach, give them Heaven."

Snarky Jesus: When Jesus Gets An Attitude
When we think of Jesus’ time on earth, we typically think of a kind, caring, loving teacher who gracefully led his disciples on a three-year faith journey. But, if you read the gospels, every once in a while you’ll find a passage where Jesus seems snarky, sassy, and not very Jesus-like. In this series, we are going to examine four different instances where Jesus seem to act like a jerk.
Messages
January 8: Snarky Jesus murders a tree.
January 15: Jesus refuses to wash his hands.
January 22: Snarky Jesus calls them stupid.
January 29: Snarky Jesus throws a tantrum.
