The DC retrospective is back on The Novice Elitists Podcast as Isaac and Caleb kick off their next exploration of a DC comics character, this time looking at several different heroes that are all part of the famed Green Lantern Corp. The James Cameron Stragglers Series rounds out to its penultimate series, as Caleb, Eric and Isaac arrive at the 2019 film he produced and wrote, Alita: Battle Angel! And since this one is tied into cybernetics and robotics, they brought along the Robominister himself, Carl to join them as they discuss how this adaptation stacks up in the filmographies of James Cameron and director of the film, Robert Rodriguez. With the James Cameron Stragglers series nearing it's conclusion, that means Alita: Battle Angel is about to hit the TNE feed! But before we get to that film, Isaac and Caleb are once again paying off old debt by fulfilling their promise to first cover the 1993 OVA, Battle Angel Alita! With Halloween right around the corner, Caleb has once again cooked up a Halloween series for this years spooky festivities. During Halloween of last year, Caleb got Eric, Sean and Isaac to watch and discuss the 1984 horror comedy Night of the Comet. And due to Isaac's enthusiastic reception, Caleb was inspired to assemble the four part 80s horror comedy series they'll be doing this year, and since this Night of the Comet discussion is so tied into the conception of this soon to be released series, it seemed fitting to reupload it to the TNE feed as a primer for the episodes to come.
