MONTE is a Brooklyn-based power rock trio that was formed by front-woman and guitarist, Caitlin Montclare. She teamed up with drummer, drum builder and engineer, Ismael Baiz early in 2018. Meghan Rose joined the band a year later adding harmonies and melodic bass-lines. Blending rock, punk, and pop, MONTE delivers a signature sound that is original, surprising, and relatable. MONTE's in-your-face lyrics and shredding guitar riffs are cleverly balanced by musical harmonies and catchy hooks. Vangelism hail from Peterborough, Ontario and I learned about the band when I saw that they were scheduled to play a gig at Our Wicked Lady on October 19th with Castle Black, Nuclear Family Family and shadow monster, three Brooklyn based bands that I have the utmost respect for.
