In a survey of over 1,000 reformed, evangelical pastors in the USA, approximately 91% of them noted experiences of burnout in some form during their time in ministry. In ministry, we can often be so passionate about what we’re doing, and give much time and energy to the work being done. But how can we ensure we do this sustainably? How can we ensure we lead out of a healthy soul? In this episode, we explore the topic of Burnout, unpacking what it is, what gets us there, how we can avoid it and what to do if we find ourselves in it.

As leaders in times of crisis, our natural inclination can be to just want to survive the hard times, maintaining the status quo and trying to keep ourselves and our teams afloat. But as leaders, we're called not to shy away from the uncertain times, but to step up and lead through it. This episode is part 2 of a series exploring how we can lead well through uncertainty. In this episode, we'll explore how we can sharpen our communication, creatively adapt to our change in circumstance and step up and lead courageously through uncertain times.
