Description

Resentment, heartache, major drama, and 11 songs - that’s what happens when you decide to finish an album AFTER your band breaks up. Join the three members of the now-defunct Maine-based band The Other Bones as they hunker down and open up old wounds about why their band broke up in 2014 (and why, years later, they thought it would be a good idea to finish the album they had written right before parting ways). They’ll share stories about the songs on their album “In The Night With Me” (2019) while trying to help each other find clarity on what went so wrong five years ago. Loretta will probably cry, Andrew will reference D’Angelo at least five times, and Eric will tie it all together to make sure that, at the very least, they (and you) learn something from this often ridiculous undertaking.

“Heated” isn’t the first track on The Other Bones’s first (and final) album, but it IS the sexiest track. Loretta, Andrew, and Eric have fun talking about writing and producing the song, and then have somewhat less fun reliving the moment when one of the band members told the other two “I want to dissolve the band”.

Episode 2 of "The Breakup Album" finds our hosts (Loretta/Andy/Eric of The Other Bones, a good band that broke up) getting into some deep feels about the song "Secure," the album's first single. They'll get real with each other about some pretty dark stuff like depression and sexism, and Andy will help Loretta and Eric finally understand why their best attempt to save the band actually just ensured its demise.

It's a fact - "Rotations" is The Other Bones' favorite song. You'll get to be a fly on the wall in this episode as the three former bandmates listen to an early demo of the song that none of them have heard in 6 years. Andy, Loretta, and Eric will also talk about how getting attention from major record labels (after the release of their debut EP, "Hinges") was a factor in the breakup of the band in 2014.
