On March 16, 1968, 17-year-old Helen Harrison finished work in Pitt Town, New South Wales, Australia, and set off on her usual bicycle ride home. She never arrived.
More than fifty years later, Helen’s name surfaced during the inquest into William Tyrrell’s disappearance. Why was a teenager who vanished in 1968 being discussed in the search for a little boy who disappeared decades later?
This week we follow Helen’s story, the accounts that emerged over the years, and a family’s determination to find out what happened on that ride home.
Anyone with information about Helen Harrison’s case can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 from within Australia or submit information at nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.

Seven years after William Tyrrell disappeared, detectives told his foster mother they knew where he was. But they hadn’t found him. They were accusing her of concealing his body, an allegation she denied.
In the final installment of this series, we follow the investigation’s renewed focus on William’s foster mother, the secret recordings, the searches, and the legal battles that brought the police theory under scrutiny. We return to the morning William disappeared to examine what the evidence supports and the questions that remain unanswered.
We also return to the people whose lives have been shaped by William’s absence, including his sister, who told the inquest she wanted to become a detective so she could find her brother.
William Tyrrell was three years old when he disappeared on September 12, 2014, from his foster grandmother’s home on Benaroon Drive in Kendall, New South Wales, Australia. He would be 15 years old as of this episode’s release. William is white, with straight brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a large, dark freckle on the top of his head, approximately two inches behind his hairline. He was wearing a Spider-Man suit when he disappeared.
Anyone with information about William’s disappearance or whereabouts is urged to contact NSW Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 within Australia, or submit information through the NSW Crime Stoppers online reporting service.
