Man, what a week!  This week's episode brings with it lots of joy, a little bit of sass, and some friendly ABC's. We honor the LEGEND that is Martin Luther King Jr. with an episode dedicated to activism. Celebrate the end of a terrible presidency and the beginning of a history-making one with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Yousra also introduces a new segment called the Yous-less award, inspired by the homies at Tastes Like Shade (Just Jay and KV). Find out what this award means and who its "inaugural" recipient is!

2021 came in with a bang. Basically, it's like 2020 turned 21 and went CRAZY, got sh*t-faced, texted its ex, sent a nude to its grandmother, and ended up in jail - and that was just the first week. Between Biden winning the election for the 107th time, Trump supporters storming the Capitol, Trump himself potentially facing impeachment (AGAIN), and everyone feeling like 2020 is really not over, this week has been a long year. In this episode, we unpack the hypocrisy that is racist America and address the differences in how people have reacted to BLM vs 'Yeehawdists'. Yousra also provides some tips on how to maintain mental wellness during trying times. This episode is dedicated to the amazing voters in Georgia who DID THEIR THANG!
We know it's been a while - thank you for being patient with the podcast. We're so excited to be sharing this episode. As some of you may know, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan just concluded last week. In this episode Yousra is joined by Tyrone Ross Jr. a financial consultant, early-stage start-up advisor, entrepreneur, athlete and founder of 401 (401.run). He decided to try fasting with Yousra this year but for what he thought would be a day. In this episode he discusses his experience, spiritual journey and the decision that ultimately led to him fasting the entire month. The conversation highlights the importance of educating yourself on cultures and religions that you may not be familiar with and "making yourself look like a fool" to remove the ignorance that we so often carry around.  For those of you interested in following Tyrone's journey you can find him on Twitter @TR401 or www.tyronerossjr.io. You can also learn more about Islam by visiting www.whyislam.org, contacting your local mosque or reaching out to Yousra directly @whatstheyous.

The death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and their beloved friends stunned the world on Sunday morning. For many of us, it was a reminder of our mortality and it sparked an outpouring of love by those who were inspired by Kobe's legacy. In today's episode, Yousra reflects on how death has shaped her life and how her perspective about it has changed overtime. She also discusses the importance of grief, placing yourself first, and not wasting time. This episode is dedicated to John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Christina Mauser, Ara Zobayan, Gianna Bryant and Kobe Bryant. Rest in eternal peace and power. #MambaMentality
Happy New Year Everyone! On the second part of Yousra's conversation with Cory, they explore 2020 manifestation. The series of questions asked on this episode are meant to help generate clarity, identify purpose and hold you accountable to the goals you have set for this New Year! Yousra and Cory talk about what (and who) they're leaving in 2019, how to reflect, plan and execute your goals, as well as provide tips on personal clarity.
In this episode of the What's the Yous Podcast, Cory and Yousra complete a reflection exercise to look back on 2019. They discuss purpose, clarity and how to reflect without regret. The end of the year can be a difficult time for a lot of people, especially if one feels like they didn't have such a great year. Use these questions to help you reflect on this year and manifest all our desires for the upcoming year.  Today's guest is Cory Buckner, a writer, speaker and life coach. Cory is currently the Associate Athletic Director of Academics at USC. He uses his experience as an athlete to assist student athletes in developing a plan for their life both inside and outside of athletics. He is an avid reader, foodie, and self-help guru. You can follow him on Instagram @drcorybuckner.
