Hebrews 13:4: "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral" We are living in a culture where marriage is dishonored and unfaithfulness is the norm. Marriage between a man and a woman should exemplify what Jesus is to the Church. He is faithful and tends to the Church, makes it holy by the washing with the word(Ephesians 5:25). Have you reached your limit or are you on a verge of a nervous breakdown? You could be experiencing burnout. God desires all of us to have rest and recovery. The Bible says in Genesis 2:2-3 NIV, “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” The word rest means Shabbat which means to stop. God stopped(rested) and set his day apart for us. As a result, we all need to stop and get the proper recovery and rest for our emotional, mental, and physical health. In our case, we must allow God and His word to keep our foundations sealed by not giving a place to the devil. Let’s continue to fight for our marriage and avoid cracks in our foundation!
