One might refer to Joe Atang as the "Hi!" Guy. Using a relentlessly positive approach to share his compassionate spirit, Joe has become what some might call a major "influencer" on TikTok. He spreads positivity, shares what he's learning as he goes and has become a valued presence in the lives of a great many people. Joe is the guy who writes the word "Hi" on his hand, a simple gesture that has turned into a benchmark of his personal brand (yes, I did ask him if he's thought about simply tattooing the phrase to his palm permanently). In this conversation, Joe shares how the whole "Hi!" thing started and why he feels the response to it has been so strong. Among the other things we talked about were what got him started on TikTok in the first place and why Gary Vaynerchuk's example has meant so much to him. Joe shared the personal story behind the Bill Withers song, "Lovely Day" and how it became such a staple of what he shares online. He also talked about how he developed the idea of calling people while broadcasting live and what that was like when he first started to do it. Some other things covered in this conversation include: His willingness to move through discomfort in order to learn and achieve something new (and why that's so important). Going from being teased and picked on as a kid to working so hard to encourage and inspire others. What prompted him to start taking cold showers. How he continues to come up with new content ideas to share on video. How often he feels he has to step back, rest and reset. If you're the kind of person would who like more uplifting voices in your life more often, follow Joe Atang. You'll be glad you did.

If you've ever doubted yourself and want to believe again, join us for this episode about overcoming impossible odds. At just 22 years old, Steve Bottrill was in a horrific car accident that left him on life support. He was in a coma for 10 days. Steve now says that, while in the coma, he could hear the conversations the doctors were having with his parents. He heard them say he would never walk again or talk again. He heard them say that he would be connected to machines his entire life. He heard them say he would never be 100% again, that he would never go back to school or play sports. Steve says he could hear all of those conversations around him while he was in the coma. For some reason he was determined to prove them wrong. In this episode, you'll find out what happened, and how you can use the same spirit to overcome whatever challenge you're looking to overcome.

Cornell Thomas is a speaker, author, coach and creator of the "Positivity Summit," designed to help unite human beings, regardless of race, religion, political preference, or socioeconomic status. Cornell's goal has always been to focus on the good in mankind, and not the bad. When the coronavirus first struck one of the first questions Cornell was asked was what he will do about the Summit. His answer: pivot. Instead of holding it in one city, in one country, and in front of a limited audience, he could now make it a global event that everyone from all over the world could see simultaneously. And with that, his Global Online Positive Summit has been born, and is set to take place on May 28 - 30, 2020. We discussed all of this in this episode. Cornell has gathered speakers from all over the world sharing their unique stories, and powerful messages, all in an effort to uplift others and to raise money for a firefighter's family in his hometown of Passaic, New Jersey. He passed from Covid-19, and is survived by his wife and two children. Come join us for three days of inspiration, wisdom, and hope. Over the past 5 years alone, Mark has helped over 500 men, women and children learn how to take back their health. Combined, they have lost over 13,000 lbs and 14,000 inches of fat during his program instruction. Better yet, they learned all of the tools to make this lifestyle a permanent part of their happy life. Kevin and Mark explored that along with parts of each other's health-related ups and downs, what they've learned and how they've changed. Among other things, they discussed: ~ How it's really about mindset. ~ Why the idea of "embracing the grind" can be dangerous. ~ What happened when he was 5 years old that set the foundation for the passion he has for fitness and lifestyle. ~ Why he kept having to tell himself, "Never again," and how he finally made that proclamation come true. ~ Focusing on opportunity over challenges. ~ It's about progress over perfection. ~ How he reacts to the word "diet." ~ What it means to "teach hormones." ~ What is the root cause of pretty much any chronic affliction in the body, and what to do about it. Ever thought about the psychology of colour, what the different colours mean, how we can use them to learn more about ourselves and apply them effectively both at home and at work? If so, you'll love this conversation about living life colourfully with Angela Dacey. As Angela has said: "It's time for YOU to take care of YOU and heal YOUR negative thoughts and feelings. Stop feeling hopeless, heavy-hearted, mentally unclear, emotionally drained and spiritually unconnected." We talked about a lot of that (with me as the guinea pig) and much more. Among other things, we discussed: ~ How thoughts and feelings affect our health ~ How "it's a lot of work, to work on yourself." ~ The positives and negatives associated with each of the main colours (e.g., Red positive = Passion | Red negative = fear) ~ Discussion on several real-life scenarios from both Kevin's life and Angela's life, how colour has played into it, what they've learned about themselves and role colour can play in moving forward. ~ They also created a recipe for the chronically under-achieving Toronto Maple Leafs! Truly, this was a fun and fascinating discussion! We hope you enjoy it. Now us much as ever, it sure seems like a fine time for global shift in consciousness. But who's going to lead it? Luckily, I know a guy. Brendon Culliton is the founder and leader of Paradigm Shift Central, a portal for consciousness shifting media and a global team of shifters. In this episode, Brendon joined me to speak at length about both his journey of creating and leading his own paradigm-shifting movement and about his journey into consciousness in general At ParadigmShiftCentral.com, you'll find featured inspirational content leaders actively helping accelerate the shift in global consciousness through creativity and compassion. Brendon leads by example through a variety of different videos, including meditations, group discussions and collaboration and video blog-type observations, among other things. In addition to his proficiency and video production and online community building, Brendon is just as likely to be found on the streets of London, Ontario offering "free hugs" and/or talking to passersby to encourage their thoughts on a particular subject, many of which will be shared to the collective via video. The result of his effort is seeing others around the world feeling inspired and encouraged by his actions. Many of them put their own ideas and efforts into play as well, and so the global shift in consciousness moves just a little bit more and a little bit more. Among many other things, we discussed: ~ The process of creating his film, "Journey to Lucidity." ~ What led to him becoming so passionate about doing the kind of work he does. ~ When he first became aware that there was even a "paradigm" that needed "shifting," and how he knew he was meant to be involved. ~ His concept of "Radical non-worriness." ~ The human tendency to gravitate toward what we think needs to happen vs what needs to happen.
