For instance, the hardships they faced during jazz school, finding community as a Black Queer person, and the bliss of being in a better place towards the end of the pandemic. This week we interviewed two bands formed by siblings over a love of music and live performances- Skating Polly and Lord Friday the 13th.  We discuss what life is like both on and off the road, what is on the musical horizon for fans of Skating Polly, and most importantly, what Pokemon game you need to play next if you haven’t already.  Skating Polly is an internationally known band formed by stepsisters Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse in 2009, with brother Kurtis Mayo on drums. Lord Friday the 13th was also formed by a sibling duo, Felix and Sloane Lenz in 2019.
