Brothers Jeff and Rocky discuss growing up in the 70's and 80's! They consider themselves "dazzlingly uncool." Make no mistake about it, they were both cool back in the day. But, nobody thinks middle-aged men are "cool." That's a young man's game. So, they strive to be the most "dazzling" versions of "uncool" that they can possibly be! In other words, the dad jokes will fly. They hope to provide some nostalgia for those who lived the Gen X upbringing with them, and also to provide some entertaining stories and advice (possibly questionable) to the generations that have come after them! While Bill Cosby deserves all that has come to him if the allegations against him are true, it does not change the fact that we laughed and laughed while listening to our parent's early Cosby comedy albums, watching Fat Albert, or enjoying The Cosby Show. This is sensitive territory, with "cancellation" being doled out these days for "infractions" far from felony!

But, the same was not true with the next generation of non-beer, bottled, beverages... Zima. Between the two of them, they decide that it is OK to drink hard seltzers in 2022, without fear of "bro" criticism.

Gen X, compared to other generations, was raised comparatively feral. We were the latch key kids, who played outside until the street lights came on, frolicked on dangerous playground equipment, rode bikes without helmets, and were sort of left to our own devices a lot of the time. We think it helped to shape us into pretty cool people... at least the ones of us who survived! Part II of our observations of the above.
