Description

In a time when strong opinions are fashionable and pulling other people's views down seems normal, have you ever spent time considering why you think the way you think? On The Peak Of Mount Stupid is a podcast that introduces you to different ways of thinking and areas of philosophy and psychology that could help you to understand your biases and the lenses through which you view the world, all explained in a light-hearted and simple way. The aim isn’t to tell you what to think, but to explore different principles and ways of thinking. The format of the podcast is simple - each week Sam brings a philosophy or area of critical thinking to the table that Andrew doesn’t know about and explains it to him. They talk about it, try to get to grips with it and then try to apply it to day-to-day life.

Have you ever thought about that fact that there are things that exist only in the collective minds of humans and are not actually a tangible truth. What does this mean? Right, well, good question. The easiest way to understand this, would be to imagine that the world ends and humanity starts again. All the things like culture wouldn't exist in the same way. This isn't the only implication though, there are other areas that Sam and Andrew cover in this podcast. Check it out and tell us what y...

There has to be an age in which we allow humans to be classed as adults. We all need to learn where we are placed in this world and we all need to learn from and be held accountable for our mistakes at some point. The chosen age in the UK and in may other places is 18, which is a great age, but research shows that our brain is not fully developed until we are in our mid twenties. This research shows that our decision making/ logical brain isn't at full working capacity up until this point and...
