In the final episode of season four of Book Eaters Podcast April and Michele drink classic gin martinis and discuss the Barnes and Noble Book of the Year. Will April's love of cooking affect how she feels about the book? Will Michele ever pronounce the main character's name correctly? In this first episode, they have paired an Old Fashioned with a brand-new book. April read the book, and Michele listened to it. For those of you who said we were editing out all the drunk bits, this episode is evidence that we are listening to your feedback. In this episode Michele speaks passionately as only a person who has had to many drinks can, about literary mechanisms including creating copies of characters, forbidden love, and unnecessary plot twists. Meanwhile Iris calmly explains what kind of humor she enjoys, and April expresses her opinions on character resurrections and odd couple type romances. The love of puns and absurd humor is discussed, and they all discover that they might just be fodder for the deeper plan.
