Description
The Church has not always been a safe place to ask questions...to doubt and wonder. We believe that questions are instrumental to spiritual growth. This is a podcast devoted to asking questions and hopefully providing answers. Some answers will be clear and simple while others will be complex, but all will have the Bible as their foundation.

Each year, during our Sexual Integrity Series in youth group, we host a question and answer panel. Students submit questions anonymously or ask questions live, and we put together a 3-4 person panel to answer those questions to the best of their ability.
This episode is the recording from our guy's panel from 2021. Our apologies for the audio quality--we know it is not excellent, but we trust it will still be helpful to listen and hear from the biblical wisdom that is offered.
Additional questions can be emailed to students@lifeatpathway.com.

Did you know there is an entire book of the Bible given over to lament? It is called LAMENTATIONS. The Prophet Jeremiah, the author of the book, is known as the Weeping Prophet.
Things are not going well in this book. Chapter 1 and 2 detail some of the horror and grief Jeremiah sees and experiences and is responding to. However, something transitions in chapter 3. There is something present that was present nowhere else in the book...
HOPE.
There is hope in the lament. We invite you into this hope as we remember the character and nature of God. As we lament, may we remember where our hope is found.
As we continue to lean into lament, we spend some time talking about some of the baggage we bring into lament and some strategies to navigate lament well. We invite you to take a listen, and share how you are lamenting. What are you learning? What thoughts are running through your mind or emotions through your heart?
Today we introduce the conversation behind lament. We’re going to spend a bit of time here, talking about the unexpected, our worries and concerns, feelings of loss, and the hope and opportunities on the other side of lament. Let’s lean in, work through lament in a healthy way, and come out the other side with more strength and wisdom.

Consistency beats quantity every time. It isn’t so much about how much time you spend doing something, but the repetition of doing it. Five minutes every day is better than five hours one day a week because consistency beats quantity every time. Applied to our spiritual lives, work toward a daily, consistent habit of connecting with God through prayer and His Word, the Bible. Don’t worry so much at first about how much time you’re spending, but how often you’re connecting. Consistency wins.
What do we do when we disobey our parents? It’s a break in the relationship. How can we work toward restoring the relationship, honoring our parents, and moving forward? Trust needs to be regained, and there is a way to do it. I hope this encourages you in your relationship with your parents!
It happens to all of us...we forgot or our schedule got too full or we were too tired or whatever the excuse may be, and we didn’t read our Bible. Now what? Bible reading is one of the essential ways we connect with God, grow in our faith, and know how to bring glory to God in this world. What happens when we neglect to spend time reading and studying the Word? That and more is what we’ll discuss in today’s question. If you like it, make sure you share it with a friend, rate it, subscribe so you don’t miss an episode.
It’s a challenging question, but one we must come to terms with. We want to be a godly influence in the lives of our friends, but what if they are a bad influence in our life? We discuss that and more in today’s podcast. Listen in, rate, review, and share with others!
