Yes first guest!! It's about time right? Mahongo and I had a conversation over a 2 weeks ago and I thought why not put it out ๐Ÿ˜ hope you learn something from this. Where are we going as a nation? In my opinion Zambia is turning into a hateful country, with cyber bullying on the rise and people abusing each other there is need to stop and reevaluate ourselves as a people. Why do you feel the need to laugh at someone's abuse? Why do you see a reason to justify the death of a 16 year old girl at the hands of a 32 year old man?? It's time to refocus. Does the majority of Zambia have the privilege of social distancing? With so many people living in unplanned settlements and not having proper water supply or basic hygiene amenities is the #washyourhands campaign really an unattainable reach. Has covid just brought to light the terrible state our country is in socially and economically. Before I begin please excuse my voice and aloofness I was sick during the recording. In this episode I talk about how Zambians react to situations that are damaging to society. I ask the question whether or not we have used our voice correctly as a people or if we have given power to our oppressors by remaining silent. Feminism is not just equal pay, it's also being able to look at another woman and not thinking that her life choices are wrong because they don't meet your standard. It's standing up to your Aunts when they tell you the ultimate goal in your life is marriage. Listen to this podcast and tell me what you thought of it @ihostapodcast on instagram and @Excusemyzambian on twitter.๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฒ
I have spent a lot time thinking and wondering why Zambia after five decades of 'freedom' still hasn't experienced the freedom that is should . So in my first episode I decided that we could really get into the why and how we as citizens outside of the government can change Zambia. Listen to this podcast and let's make change .๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฒ?follow my Instagram @ihostapodcast and on twitter @Excusemyzambian
