Jeff Greenwood is a skateboarder and creator of Concrete Disciples, as well as the current website administrator of The Skateboarding Hall of Fame, among many other things, like the OG Skate Jam and more. Concrete Disciples has been tracking the develompment of skateparks around the world over 25 years. Jeff has a great back story growing up in California and skating and building ramps with some of skateboarding"s biggest names. A lot of great stuff here for you skateboard historians. 

This week skateboarding lost a great, Jay Cabler from Tennesse. Jay was a friend of the show and appeared on the Kona Day 2 episode. He was a Host of the show Kickturn Party on YouTube and all around great human. Jay was on the cover of Thrasher magazine September 1983 and continued skateboarding his whole life, up until his final days. Jay will be missed by many. Condolences to his family and all his friends. This is his interview from Kona this past June.

Kevin Marks is the creator of Look Back Library which is a non profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of skateboard magazines, and other printed materials. Great conversation about him moving to CA and working for Tumyeto during the explosion of Toy Machine and Zero. We also get into his love of skate mags, skateboarding and conceiving Look Back Libary. 

Brett Buehler is the Host of Part-Time Rockstar Podcast, a guitar player in the band The Hollow Truths, as well as a bunch of other creative things. This is part #2 of an interview that started on his podcast with me, then ends here with part #2. We thought it would be fun to help promote each other's shows this way. Brett is a fasinating guy that shares some great stories of skateboarding, rock and roll, and being an EMT on an ambulance around a big city. Great conversation.

Eric Dixon is a longtime staple of the Baltimore music scene. From skateboarding early in life to then finding a passion for drums that landed him in some of Baltimore's most reconized bands, like Liqour Bike, to more recently 4 footer and Bastards of Reality. He shares great stories from the early punk days, including shotguning beers with Slayer at The Loft, to being a promotor for Memory Lane, to managing Guitar Centers. We have a great conversation outside of drums as well as some drum geek talk for you drummers. Eric has been an influence for years and was great to get to sit down and learn about his life then and now.

Phil Rouchard was a top amatuer skateboarder from Maryland in the late 80's for Blockhead skateboards.After that ended he raced motocross, and then became part of Monster Jams tour as a top Qaud racer. Phil was one of the first to land a Mctwist in MD and was known for his big airs and rad style. He later graduated Rutgers with a degree in Golf Course Management. He now resides outside Baltimore, had three son's, manages a golf course and still rides qauds. So much good skateboarding history packed into this one.

Justin Schlegel of the Justin, Scott, and Spiegel 98 Rock Morning Show, The DLP Agenda Podcast, and Die Laughing Productions,stops by The Patch to talk skateboarding and life. However as soon as we start talking we realize this is gonna be a multi episode interview. Justin has way too big of a story to try to cram into one episode. We catch up, then get into his growing up in Waldorf and how meeting Gordon Eckler changed his life. We talk about his youth, how he discovered comedy, all the way up until he was ready to spread his wings and move to California to persue that passion.  So much packed in this episode that your not gonna want to miss it. Part 2 will be in a couple weeks.

Getting back on the horse to kick off Season 4 has been hard but here we go... but first R.I.P. Thomas Taylor and R.I.P. Pat Clark So now let me explain whats going on and whats to come this season!

Peter Furnee and myself discuss last weekend's Rage At The Rose vert skateboarding event in Ardmore, Tennessee, presented by S1 helmets and pads. We talk about putting on an event like that, to all the sponsers, riders, results, and everyone that made it a successful weekend. Did want to shout out Bill Weiss and Madness Skateboards for the support. We accidentally forgot to talk about em, but have big love for Madness Skateboards!

Dave Messick is a longtime friend, father, skateboarder, CEO of Unscene Productions, amongst many other titles. We talk about his coming up in Cambridge, MD, moving to Virginia Beach, then ending up in Ocean City. Dave shares many stories about the skateboarding scene on the eastern shore, and helping to get the Ocean Bowl renovated. Then get into his humble beginnings as a videographer, to creating the biggest production company out of Ocean City, MD. 

Keith Lenharr aka KL is a skateboarder from Shady Grove, PA that has been skateboarding since metal wheels. He spent his youth skateboarding all over the mid atlantic and spreading his stoke of skateboarding.  One of the areas top skaters in the late 70's and 80's, he then moved to SD where he worked for Tracker trucks and became know as one of southern CA's best backyard pool skaters. Keith shares many names and stories of the areas skateboarding history, as well as his time working in the industry. 

Mike "Micro" Mapp is a skateboarder and CEO of Ramptech. We discuss his early roots of skateboarding, punk rock, and crafting his ramp building skills in Northern VA at the Atown ramp. Then we get into the local scene, Cedar Crest days, the DC punk scene, starting Ramptech, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.

Rich Pugh is a long time friend, skateboarder, car enthusiast, and business owner. He currently owns Johnny Rads Pizzeria Tavern, Snake Hill Grill, and The Royal Blue Bar. He used to own Central Boardshop and Union Skate Shop. We have a great discussion about all of the above and many other great topics.

Brent Knoechel is a long time friend and one of my biggest inspirations as a drummer from early on. He is a husband, father, skateboarding, surfing, drummer that currently resides in Jacksonville, FL. He played in Juice, Aloha, Strange Friend, 9E, and currently has a new project that is still nameless at this time. We have a great converstion about growing up with drums, skateboarding, punk rock shows, and much more.

Jean Rusen is a wife, Mom, singer, artist, and skateboarder, amongst her many other talents. She is from Maryland, but currently resides in Arizonia. She made skateboarding history by being the first woman to compete in a World Cup Skateboarding men's event in 2009. She has also been on the podium at the Vans Pool Party at the Combi, and is currently a World Cup of Skateboarding judge, as well as an amazing ambassador for woman's skateboarding. 

This episode I talk with Shawn Wixted about his new Documentary called Ridge Army. The Ridge was more then just a D.I.Y. skate spot on the outskirts of Baltimore. Hear how an abandonded, burned down lumber mill, became a place that went on to influence hundreds of kids, and heled create life long bonds.
