• My advice, the only advice I can give is what worked for me. Now, maybe that doesn't work for the next person. Maybe, you know, one of the people who came to me, maybe they don't have that kind of faith in God, maybe they don't have that kind of relationship. Maybe they don't have that kind of trust. Maybe, I don't know. All I can do is say, This is what worked for me. I handed it over, I've had people say, How do you even hand it over? What does that even mean? I can tell you what it means to me, and I can tell you how I told my kids how I taught them how to hand it over in situations that was too much for them. (4:18)• What is your definition of giving up? Because you still have to go on... You still have to wake up every day. You still have to put one foot in front of the other, is it rolling over and letting whatever happen take over and beat you, or is it to rise above it and create a plan and recreate something more than you had before? So what would you choose? We've talked about the 90-day plan and we've gone into detail with it, I've provided a download for it on my website as well, this isn't just for building a business plan, it can be for anything, any goal you have, it is a road map to a goal, now, there are a lot of people, especially entrepreneurs. When you think goals, you think of business goals... Well, that's how we operate. However, guess what? There's more to life than business. (6:45)• And there is life after divorce, so to be able to tell someone, don't waste time dwelling on the past. Embrace your memories. Embrace the good times. Here's another thing that I feel is really, really important, when I say, don't dwell on the negative things of the past, learn from them, make sure that you don't repeat any behaviors or repeat things fall into traps. (13:44)• I knew that I was worth it. I knew that I was the example for my kids, and I knew that they watched me and our kids become a product of their environment, and we've got to create that environment wisely, so start recognizing the things that make you happy. And you'll be surprised what you find out. It most likely is not gonna be necessarily something that you want, it may be something that you already have for me, it's my deck, it's my backyard, it's my sanctuary outside where I'm able to get in touch with myself, I'm able to sit in that quiet. KEYNOTES DISCUSSED:• We go through our lives and we have these dreams, we've got these expectations of our lives, and we sit here and we wonder, how do we get there? How do we reach this goal? Now, believe it or not, there are some people who don't have those kind of visions, those kind of dreams, but most likely those people aren't listening to this podcast. Because they just, they don't have visions like you do. You have visions of something that you want to happen in your life, you've got a place, you've got somewhere that you want to go...a goal to get to. (02:16)• That's the kind of world that we live in now, everybody labels and the world of social media is vicious. Social media, it has helped a lot of people. It's helped me. If I didn't have social media, I wouldn't have been able to reach the people that I've been able to reach to build my business and create the connections that I've had that have moved me forward in my life. But I'll tell you this, that social media can be just as vicious, and what I want you to do is break the chains of that, I don't want you living in the chains of the labels. And I don't care who it is, I don't care if it is your family, your friends, your spouse or your kids. (04:11)• If you're listening to this, I hope that you are a believer. I am a believer, I have faith, I know that God is real, I know that. I will tell you something, we have been blessed beyond measure in my family, and I know why, I know why, I don't live by somebody else's labels, I don't live by somebody else's judgment, I'm only judged by one, and that's not even me. Even though sometimes I sit here, and I might make judgments about my pictures and stuff like that, but that's not truth. (5:28)• I'll never forget that. I am mad that I did believe it, but also it drove me to be more... It drove me to be more than that. It drove me to be something that I was told that I couldn't be successful. But whose idea of success are we living up to? Is it our idea of success, is it somebody else's idea of success? Because let me also tell you this, that once you reach a level of success, you're then criticized by a lot of the same people who told you that you couldn't do something, who told you that you couldn't do just that, and then you did. (8:09)• It doesn't even take money, your faith is free, your faith and your belief in yourself is free. It doesn't cost you anything to move forward, you've got to take action though, if you want to be successful in any way. If you want to be able to pay your bills. Okay, that to me, there's a success right there. If you can pay your bills with comfort and still be able to breathe and enjoy your family later on, that to me, my friends, is success, winning. Continue winning. I love winning. • So it's something that you're going to have to keep going back to, it's the map. It's what you do. It's kind of like throwing spaghetti against the wall, you can just kind of go with things any way, but you're going to really want to have this foundation and do this every time with every business that you build. (4:38)• What type of business is it, and why does it exist? So your mission statement, or your mission statement is your business's reason for existing, and what it represents. So if you think about Tesla, Tesla, their mission statement is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Tesla and Elon Musk, they've got their vision and they're working towards it every single day. The dude doesn't stop...he literally does not stop. (7:39)• You have to set boundaries. So I won't sacrifice my important time with my kids, all time with my kids is important. Right? But I remember there was our 20-year class reunion, and I was supposed to go... I hadn't been... I think I missed my 10 year, and I was supposed to go to the 20-year. I was really looking forward to it, but my daughter had a race, she raced quarter midgets, and I was like, Man, I really don't want to miss this race because she gets really excited about it and everything. Okay, so I did not go to the reunion, and thank God I didn't, because that was her first race that she won that day, had I gone, I would have missed that. (12:32)• So, you're going to use social media, messenger, posts, groups, wherever you're going to have your contacts, share posts and whatnot. You can use phone. Now these, these are just five ideas, these are not set in stone, if you've got other ways to be able to do it, write those down. Whatever it is that you're going to be launching. These are just ideas. Alright, so phone, where you're going to use your phone for texting, person-to-person voice calls, communication apps such as Marco Polo, that's like a video texting service, voice texting, but your best way is to have an actual live conversation. (17:51)• While you're building that up and dripping in and the social media design, map out your messages. So I had in the beginning, I had eight podcast subjects, eight subjects that I wanted to speak on, and then I just started mapping those out, I started creating the message for each of those, and then go ahead and work on strengthening your business plan because the stronger your foundation, the better. And the stronger and longer it's going to be around. Don't feel the need for it to be perfect, you just need it to be there. You've got to just have that vision to start with, and remember why you're doing it. • And it really started with my mom, my mom wrapped us up with love, we didn't have the most traditional upbringing, but she wrapped us in love, so it almost gave us the rose colored glasses to our whole entire life, and the things that they constantly said, I've paraphrased now, but it's a phrase that I use with my kids, which is, I'm perfectly wonderful, made in the image of God. (02:43)• I don't believe that my parents believe that I could do anything, they believed in who I was as an individual, and I think that this was probably the most instrumental thing, that for me, because they didn't ask me to be my brother, they didn't ask me to be in those things, and my daughter said it to me the other day, which is awesome. I said, Be yourself, always. (04:48)• It was desperation, it wasn't like an entrepreneurial spirit, it was like, we got free lunch at school, so we are got five tickets for free because we didn't have enough money to be able to get lunch, and then me and my brother would sell them and then we would buy the kind of lunch that we wanted. (8:24)• I want to write it like I talk... When you read the book, and my take on this, I like when you read a book, it's like we're having a conversation like and I may not win a A in how to write a book, but that was me, it came from my voice, and so I had wanted to do it for so long, and then my wife literally said, Why don't you shut up and go do it. (11:49)• It's like when they're out of sync makes things a little bit difficult and you have little challenges, and it's about adaptability, and when things start changing what we're in now, we need to adapt to the world. I don't like the whole new normal thing, it makes me a little bit crazy, but we do have to roll with it. SHOW NOTES:• First of all, I want you to share your story with everybody who's listening, because I feel like there's a lot of people who see very successful people, and they think that those people just have always been successful. They've always had money, or they've always been in that top percent, and I want you to share where you came from, where your situation when you decided, I'm not going to stay in this place.(03:27)• Because I feel like it's similar to where I grew up, I never really knew anything outside of go to school, get a job, work your way up, do everything you can to impress your family, make them proud of you serve, serve, serve. I was raised in the church, and I just tried to always follow the rules, so I think the turning point for me was when I followed all the rules, and life still tanked that I knew something had to be wrong with the rules. It's kind of like what's going on in the world right now. Everybody's just wondering and following a set of rules that they stood by for so long and they don't realize that sometimes they need to find their own. (05:11)• It was everything I knew and believed in, so I was determined to make it work. So, I got involved with network marketing, and I was officially the worst human they'd ever seen, I was so afraid and so broken down, and I sucked at sales. I knew nothing about sales, I was doing phone TV, internet as electricity, I was disconnecting people's phones, I was screwing it up, royally. People are like, we've had this phone over in our family for generations, I'm like, Well, isn't it nice to bring in the new year with new, and they're like, No, it's not. And I was like, I'm really sorry. So I was really, really bad. Even my mentors who were some of the top 10 in the world, I think it was just a gift they were given to me, were like, Honey, you're not great at this, like maybe you should seek other avenues and work on this on the side for the next decade and see if it'll work. (09:20)• I really think I build their bravery enough to where they're brave enough, and we can have this conversation, the pin drop. And I'm like, I can build a business around that. So it's really helping someone be confident enough in that inner idea for a moment, and if they give me a moment, I can lay out a plan and a strategy for almost everything. Because my life was like three kids on my own having to do everything school, sports, house, everything, and I had to be so strategic in my every move that I can see someone's strategy from a mile away. They're like, it's the how I've got, it's the what that I need your help with. (16:17)• You've got the ripple effect. But a big one, and I feel like there are... How do I phrase this? So now I watch your Friday night lives and your posts and everybody, and all of the comments, and I think because I know you, and that it's not that I take it for granted, but I know how special you are, and not just me but to me and my girls, and I see all of those people who see you and you're such an inspiration to them, and I know that you inspire them so much and they just want to be in your presence. • So if you go really back to the beginning of where I have come from, I've come from absolute poverty, and I come from a place of absolute brokenness, not just financially or economically, but really mentally and emotionally, so the journey has been an amazing one, and it's been a long one, and it really does start with being in a place of desperation. (4:20)• They're dealing with financial fears and ramifications, what's going to happen with the housing market, there's just so many different things, and I think that's one thing that I've been able to really find us that hope, and I just want to encourage everybody today that... Number one, there is hope, there's hope for you in your situation, there's hope for you no matter what, if God can take me from where I was a broken strung out meth addict, shooting up at 19 years old, weighing 122 pounds. And it introduced me to an encounter with Jesus, a real tangible encounter, and it took me where I am today; to a stable father, husband, servant, entrepreneur that can help do something from my generation. There's absolutely no reason you can't do it for each and every one of us. (5:25)• It was something that maybe you didn't have growing up, so that's something that we call grace, and there's a reason that that's important today is because you have received grace, Kristina, I have received tremendous grace, we are both products of grace and transformation, and that very idea is why, I felt moved to start finding ways that I could do something to touch a generation. (6:36)• We're building, or we just built a 41000 litre water tank in an area within Tanzania, and near that school, in the vicinity of the region that has never had fresh water before, now, the fresh water itself is a massive impact, they literally drink water out of three massive holes that are dug in the ground, when it rains, but keep in mind, it's a drought area, so it doesn't always get rained, so water is limited. Water is dirty. So this water thing that we're building, I want the help of some of our supporters and some of the local business community is a life-changing thing. (16:17)• You know what, not everybody is called to go to Tanzania and build a water source, but not everybody is called to go down to South America and do a bunch of work down there, but you know what we've got? We've got a humanitarian mission field every day when we walk out the front door, and if we can just be intentional about encouraging somebody, lifting somebody up, finding a need and filling it. And I know that sounds so cliche, but it's really true. Gotta look beyond ourselves, and sometimes in our greatest trials, in our moments of grief and struggle financially or with COVID or whatever it might be, I think that sometimes the key is stopped fighting for yourself and release that and begin to fight for somebody else. • How are people to grow if they don't have somebody there who's going to be straight up with you? You know what I do? I struggle with it because it's obviously quite confronting, so you have to find a way to communicate with people that suits them, that they'll hear it. (3:08)• What's a big goal? Whether that's health, business or other things, and then map it out and don't even worry about it. Like your goal is there, if you follow this plan, you will get that all you need to do is check off these boxes every day, every week, every month, and that will be yours in the time that we allocated. (5:37)• Start to become very self-aware, and know the layer of that is a lot of people don't trust themselves to know what's good for them, for themselves. So it teaches you self-trust and you start to make decisions and say what you follow through on and what you've done it, and you can start to listen to yourself a little bit better, so it actually works on many layers. (10:53)• So I think that this is an accumulation of my mindset strategies from, I played basketball for a really long time, so knowing how to last the longevity of a game, or what happens when you're down, and what happens when you're out? How do you protect your lead? How do you gain momentum? How do you get to where you need to be by the end of the third quarter? (14:35)• So my job is to come in and go, Well, let's just strategize, how can we make that model? What if we strategize that so you could sit on the couch and be with you girls and not think, I've got a 100 things to do. It doesn't sound sexy, what I do isn't sexy, and it's not hard to understand. But it's challenging and confronting. • You are going to people with a solution, and I am really big about being a product of the product, I'm not going to go out and sell something to somebody and not know about it, I'm no going to sell something to somebody just to put some money in my pocket, and I'm not going to be a product of the product. I am going to share my story with someone, I'm going to share what this did for me. And in hopes of being able to solve an issue for that person, I'm hoping that this can do for them what it did for me, and that goes for the product and for the opportunity. (4:45)• So these are the things I want you to ask yourself, did they look down on that person who they bought that Tupper Wear, Or that Pampered Chef item from... So what makes you think that they're going to look down on you? You're just trying to make something better. You are doing what it takes in order to better your financial position, you should be applauded. And someone who is not applauding you should be ignored, you should not put any merit to what they are saying. (9:12)• No, not even talking about the financial aspect of it. I'm talking that I am friends with some of the best people on the planet, and I am blessed with their friendships. People all over the planet. I've got friends in England, I've got friends, one of my good friends is in Australia. I mean, people are all over the place, but most of all, it can give you freedom, it can give you so many different types of freedom, it can give you the time freedom... That is the biggest thing for me. Time freedom, where I am able to spend time with my kids. (16:19)• My concentration was on my kids in my business, books, you're going to be wanting to read or listen to books... Whatever works for you. Whether you like the audible books, oh my gosh, there's so many of them. There are so many of them, you're going to want to be reaching out to people, you're going to be wanting to grow your network of contacts, you're going to be wanting to meet new people all the time. You've gotta be growing your network at all times, you're gonna probably be putting in more hours than what you expect. Because there are a lot of people who get into network marketing and they think that it's just going to happen, they think that they can be home with the babies and not have to do anything. You've got to put in the work. (18:56)• There are going to be some obstacles you're ging to have to overcome, you're going to have to figure out the urgency with this, what is your why? How fast do you want to get your goals? What are your goals? Keep them in mind, keep them in the forefront of your mind all the time. And most of all, you're going to have to be coachable and you're going to have to learn a lot... I know, I did. I remember when I first started this, I thought I knew because I had been in other companies before, when I started with this one, I thought I knew everything, Oh my... was I wrong. So that really makes me laugh thinking about that, I'm like, Wow, yeah, I have come a long way in my knowledge, so it's going to take a lot, it's going to take dedication, but you absolutely deserve it. • Alright, so we're going to talk about I Am statements today. Because I Am statements are uplifting for you, they just make you feel good. They might seem silly at first, if you're looking in the mirror and you're saying, I am beautiful, or I am perfectly made. I have beautiful eyes. My hair looks fantastic. I love my stretch marks. We earned them, right? If you're a mom, those are tiger stripes, your stretch marks are tiger stripes, these are ways that you've got to turn things around. I am powerful. (3:26)• Whatever it is, that repetition starts to make you feel good. There's the emotion at first, it's uncomfortable, but then it makes you feel good, that positive feeling. So be mindful of those thoughts and those ideas that you're planting in your mind because those seeds that you're putting in there, if you give them enough cultivating, if you give them enough to grow on, they're going to start sprouting. (5:40)• Because once you start thinking positive about it, you're going to feel accepted by you. And you're really the most important to be accepted by. Who cares if somebody else doesn't accept you, you have all the power within you, and you're the most important, you're also in charge of how you feel every single day. You're the one who has all the power over controlling how you feel, and if you feel good about yourself, nothing else is going to matter if you feel empowered, if you feel impactful. (6:59)• So write it out, it's going to make more of an impact. And then if you want to make it your background on your phone or your screen saver or whatever, do that, so that it's always there. And, if you don't know what to write here, in fact, I'm going to read some examples for you. So, if you write it out, you're making that physical activity and it's making that impression in your mind. (8:57)• So I want you, each and every day, write down at least six I Am statements. I want you to write those down, I want you to repeat them each day out loud, don't just write them, and then that's it. You need to be talking to yourself when you're driving. If you're driving to work or driving to pick up your kids, if you're in the pick-up line at school, wherever you're at, I want you to be saying these things to yourself and don't be embarrassed about it. What is Neurofeedback?Research has emerged showing that the brain is not fixed but is instead very plastic and adaptable. After serious injury, people are able to relearn how to walk, talk, and reason. Brain scans show that neighboring regions of the injured brain have assumed new roles formerly performed by the injured regions. Neuroscientific research has proven that the brain can change. Many neurological disorders of the brain are indicative of brain dysregulation, and similar research into Neurofeedback has shown that brain activity can be modified to alleviate symptoms of these and other disorders in a safe, accessible, and cost effective way.Neurofeedback is a proven, non-invasive, non-medicated and permanent solution for ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and more. Neurofeedback works to dramatically reduce the symptoms of these disorders, leading to more consistent, focused, and successful work, school, and social performance. Working with their physicians, many of my clients have dramatically reduced and even stopped taking medications. SHOWNOTES:• I'm a registered nurse with a Master's degree in psychology, and so to me, I was like, Well yeah, we go to the medication, let's go do the stimulants, and we did that. It took three, maybe four different medications because each one of them made him so sick, we finally found one and it did the job, he could focus, he was able to function in school, and then we went to the yearly physical and found out that he'd stopped growing, so one of the side effects of stimulants can be a decreased appetite, and in his case, it severely impacted his ability to grow normally. (4:32)• I'm not at all anti-medication, but I just felt like I was empowering people to go and accomplish what their life dreams were, it's like if I can help them get their brain working well, then they can do the hard work and accomplish what they want, so that kind of jumped me into it. (6:21)• Neurofeedback, at its core is a learning process, so it is based on operant conditioning, which is the idea that if you reward behavior, then that behavior is likely to continue. And so the neuro-feedback we are able to track brain waves in real time, and we are able to essentially give your brain a cookie every time it's doing something that we want it to do. We have different parameters based on what we see in a brain map, which I'll talk about in a second, but we are able to reward your brain when it is doing what we want it to do. (12:49)• I just feel for people, I just feel for them because this has been an overwhelmingly stressful event and it's been essentially a chronic event that has gone on a year. And all changes all the time, there's no consistency, it's that lack of control and appropriate concern on all different levels, whether it's your own health, whether it's your job, this is a profound experience, and certainly people are having different levels of that experience. (17:24)• We see a lot of kids who, with the pandemic, we're seeing a lot of behavior issues that are cropping back up. Some of the behaviors were done and gone, then they had improved with training, and now there's a little bit of a regression because of all the stress, but in general, we do tend to see a lot of improvement with kids with our feedback training at a base level. Whatever they're coming in with, usually ADHD or a learning disability of some kind, often they respond better to neuro feedback. • When I say level, I mean ranks, because most of you already know that I am in network marketing, and my team is very, very large, and some of them I don't even get to know, which is depressing for me because I love being able to build those relationships, I love being able to work with those people. So, that's the way I think that level three is so fun, and it's really the most, I guess the most gratifying, if you will, because of those relationships, because of the excitement, because of the momentum, and when you see people growing. And oh my gosh, it really is the best when you see people coming out of their shells and coming into their potential. (3:55)• If you truly want to go to the higher levels of leadership, you're going to have to learn those skills there, and really, to be frank, you simply have to produce. There's no other way around it. You have to learn these skills, so now you've got credibility, you're in a position now that you've actually set a standard for others on your team, and you bring clarity, you've gotta bring clarity and a reality to the vision of your organization. You have to have a vision for it, you gotta tell them clearly what the goal is of your team as a whole. (8:58)• Put the time and effort into the momentum makers because they can make a huge impact on your organization. Now, these are the momentum makers remember? Okay, so get them out in front. Let them be heard. And this is going to piss some people off because, the people say it all the time, Oh, will you give attention to those people? We have to hear those people. Yeah, because these people have created success at various levels, and we want to make sure that everybody sees different levels of success, and that lets other people know what their potential can be. (15:41)• So even though the achievement becomes easier, the leadership itself does not become easier, right? Now, this is something that is really important to remember, because productivity can make you think that you're a great leader, when really you might not be. All great leaders are productive, however, your personal success... What I mean by personal success, your own success is your own achievements don't always translate to team success, so what do you do for others? That is what the leadership is about. (19:59)• And remember this, it also includes you, you are part of that team, you are the leader of that team, so know where you fit, know where your strengths, your abilities, your gifts, find out where they can contribute to all of the others. But also learn from the others and where they can contribute as well, because they're going to be able to, when they're building that camaraderie with themselves are going to be able to build that familiarity, they're going to be able to build that team atmosphere and those friendships. • It's a level of leadership based on results, people follow you because of what you've done for the organization, whether you're in a brick and mortar. You've had results. And people are impressed by that. People like that, and they want to be part of it. The level four is people development. People follow you because of what you've done for them, and they feel valued. (3:01)• We talk about growth on here all the time, bettering yourself, and those greater skills are going to be required, some risks, you're going to take risks because that's what leadership's about. Everybody takes risks, and some risks you're going to win, and some you're going to fail. But that can't allow you to give up, and I don't care what level you're at. I don't even care if you're not in leadership, you can't give up when you fail. Every single skill, every single risk is going to help you grow. (6:27)• The problem isn't that they don't have the ability to... It's a choice, and it's an attitude that can be changed though. I mean that can be changed, you have to want to grow, you just have to choose to grow, so if they make the choice to improve and grow, then they're not going to have any limits. So it comes down to this, choices matter. Don't think that you have to be stuck there forever, because you don't have to. You just have to make the choice to want to grow and change your attitude about it, I feel like, and also your mindset, because if you feel like you don't have it in you to move further, you have to work on that, you have to choose to work on that. (9:42)• Now, keep in mind that if you think that you're leading, but you don't have any followers, you're just taking a stroll, Okay? I want you to think about that, because if you think that you're doing a great job at leading, but you don't have anybody leading, who's there to lead, nobody. So, you've got to start connecting with people and you've gotta dedicate yourself to continuing your own development, so that you gain followers and then dedicate yourself to growing them as well, that's so important, because that's the part where people start to feel valued, that's the part where the relationships start to grow and flourish, and there's trust being built. (13:42)• I want to talk about one of the most important things to focus on and level two; it's to become aware of the uniqueness of people and learn to appreciate their differences. We talked about each person has a different personality, they have different communication languages, they've got... Maybe somebody doesn't like all the attention, but then there's somebody else who needs that constant validation, learn their different ways, that uniqueness of their languages, the uniqueness of their personality, the uniqueness of their needs. So some people... And this might sound silly to you, but I can guarantee that it's not silly to somebody else, because there are people who don't know how they can make these people at this level feel valued, there's questions that you can ask yourself as far as your followers go, what three non-business things do you know about this person? SHOW NOTES:• If you don't step out of that position and into the next level, and that's what I want to bring to you today, okay, so like I said, if your vision of success, if you're starting an organization or you are going to, or you already own a company, or maybe you're a network marketing, or you're putting a team together, you've gotta become a leader, you've got to get good at leadership. And if you can't lead well, you're not going to be successful, if you don't lead in a way that is inviting or inspiring to others. (4:22)• If you own a company and you hire some employees, you have become a leader, and you are in that position of leadership, but however you got there, it doesn't mean that you have to stay there in that positional leadership. Right, but it's the only level that doesn't require the ability or the effort to achieve because anybody can be appointed to that position. (7:27)• You are in network marketing, but they follow you because of what you've done, they see your results, productivity and momentum happen at that point, some people stop at level too, but if you're a person who... You're about action. You're driven by results. Level three just happens, okay, so you get things done, you make things happen, and that all fires up the people who are in your organization, and you gain influence, you gain credibility, and so much positivity flows at that level because of that growth, because of all that positive momentum. (10:26)• Level five leaders build level four leaders, they build those level four leaders who are creating more leaders within the team, and you talk about a layered leadership... That is exactly what this is. It is layered leadership. SHOW NOTES:• Last week we had talked about self-awareness and listening to people who can give you constructive criticism, this is another part I wanted to touch on this again, and I won't go all into it, because we did just talk about this, but you do have to listen to anyone and everyone who can give you constructive criticism and advice, but here's the thing, do you respect that person? Do you look up to that person who's giving that to you, who's giving you that constructive criticism? Those are the people who you want to keep. (4:52)• It's okay to feel that fear, but don't show it, I don't show it, because then it's going to give it power. you don't want it to have power over you, so when you're the most scared, that is when you need to move the fastest, seriously, kind of like that whole kick in the gut thing, that's what you need to work on most. (7:24)• I'm a huge communicator. You cannot get past any sort of conflict or conflict management or anything, you can't have a properly functioning relationship with anyone without communication, and we talk about balance and the importance of balance, but it's almost impossible to find balance. You just really have to make the time and spend the time in all the places, it's time management. (11:07)• There's going to be people who are celebrating you, but there's a lot of those haters out there, they don't like to see somebody that's from their place, their town, their neighborhood, their family... Everybody's got that same... They're from the same place. When you find that success that they didn't work for, they didn't even look for, they don't like that. Don't let those people hold you back from what you want. SHOW NOTES:• It requires that understanding of what you are good at and what you suck at, and once you embrace that, you've gotta go in on all of your strengths, go all in. Okay, let you go on in on that because you're going to take that, you can grow with it, you can grow other people, you can bring that strength to others and help them grow. (2:21)• So when you accept the shortcomings, that is when you're going to start to excel, you're going to accept those shortcomings, you're going to be like, Okay, I'm not going to waste my time trying to master that, I'm going to take what I'm good at and I'm going to run with it. (4:37)• That's what I learned, is that I had to learn how to be honest and in a constructive way to help other people grow. But in doing that, I also was able to create a safe space for others to be able to come to me, and I could be honest, and they could tell me in a way that was constructive to me. (7:27)• Master your craft, okay? So, once you figure out self-awareness, I'm telling you, you're going to be unstoppable, once you figure it out, your strengths and you embrace the fact that you've got shortcomings, you will not be able to be stopped. You take that, you unleash that and you grow. And so any time I hear a strategy, or I hear something that could educate me more on something that I know nothing about, then I'm very open to it. (5:26)• And then I started researching that, I learned about the infinite banking concept, which is what we're gonna talk about today, and how you could have safe money strategies that have paid dividends for 10, 60 years, even through the Great Depression. (8:03)• There's many ways that it works and many benefits, so when you think about life insurance, you think about, Oh, it's only going to benefit you when you die. And with the types of policies that I believe in, you have living benefits and you have access to that money, so this high cash value, early early high cash value dividend policy is... It's a wealth-building strategy. (12:02)• So the key factor is the uninterrupted compounding interest, and that is how you build wealth, that's how you build legacy wealth, and how you can teach your kids how to not get trapped in the world of going out and borrowing money and paying cash for things and all of that. You can teach your children how to take control of their finances and to have that financial freedom, true financial freedom. (20:33)• And I'm not here to convince someone that it's the best thing for them because it may not be for them. They may not want to use it like I do, they may want to have more risk, I don't want any risk because I have made a lot of mistakes. I used to work for a financial company years ago, and a lot of people's money was tied in the stock market, and people will come in and write 100,000 checks, and then the next week it would only be 20,000 and it just made me sick to my stomach. SHOW NOTES:• So, we should be proud of ourselves, right? That's what made me want to do this podcast, do this subject today, because if I deal with this... We all deal with this. What I want you to really think about is this whole thing, your own greatness, okay? That was something that I should be very proud of, right? That was a portion of my greatness. So your goals, your ambitions, your dreams are part of your greatness, and you can't let anybody else hold you back. (3:16)• You can't be adjusting your goals for others, you play a big part, whether you know it or not. And here's another thing, what if you're in the business, or maybe you're just interested in helping other people change their lives, would you tell them to adjust their goals? Would you tell them to tamper down their goals because of the people around them? No, you're going to tell them to adjust the people that they surround themselves with, right? Because those people can limit them, their energy and attitude is contagious. (6:24)• There are 10 things and I want to go over these. We'll kind of break each one down a little bit, but most is going to be pretty self-explanatory. But there's oftentimes that we need reminders, I do, and that's why my personal, my self-growth, I have to remind myself of things all the time. So number one is self-confidence, okay? You have to have a level of self-confidence. And because there are going to be people who are around you that are going to try to bring you down, you have to be strong. (9:30)• That is business. You have to have that commitment, okay? Your business is your baby. Love it. Grow it. Nurture it. Alright, sounds corny, but it's true. Last, but definitely not least, you need to view uncertainty as an opportunity, the year of Covid 2020, that was a year of opportunity in so many different ways,. You talk about businesses, there were a lot of businesses, brick and mortar businesses that went out of business, there were a lot of them that actually grow because they pivoted... They were ready for it. SHOW NOTES:• So these are different things that need to be done on a regular basis, but it's the consistency that is so important to reaching those in-between goals in order to reach the big goals. And if you've got different streams of income, maybe you got a network marketing business, maybe you've got a podcast, maybe you've got a course, maybe you've got a brick and mortar. If you have more than one of those things, then you've gotta have a goal for each one of those particular streams of income, and then break them down, you gotta break those down into those smaller goals and activities. (3:26)• One of my goals this year is to encourage leadership, so I told you that I'm starting some courses, but overall, I really want to focus on leadership now in small business, in the small business world. There's not, in my opinion, there's not enough focus on leadership. Oh, I start treading into this area because I get hate mail, but we're taught as children, we memorize things, we're not necessarily taught leadership, leadership is more of an elective. (5:06)• I want them to feel, when they are done talking to me, I want them to feel better, more valuable. I want them to feel amazing, and I want them to feel like they can bring that to somebody else and be able to bless somebody else's life the way that I just did theirs. Another thing that I have to ask myself every day, What am I doing to be my best? (8:55)• I'm telling you it's priceless. While it costs money, but what you get from it, you can't put a dollar amount on because it continue, it's an investment. And the interest, if you will, that grows on that investment, I've made way more money than what I have invested because of what I invested. Does that make sense? So success, It's not exactly easy. It takes hard work. We talk about it, It takes hard work. It takes courage. I mean, you're talking... your time, consistency. You're going to have frustrations. But you've gotta be dedicated. SHOW NOTES:• So maybe you have all sorts of ideas, maybe you just have one or two, but they’re huge and maybe they’re really scary. So, we’re going to break them down, so they’re not so scary, okay? Because they don’t have to be scary. I know that it can be, because even with I bought my boyfriend a workout system to put in the garage, and I picked up the instructions, I’m like, Oh my gosh, there’s so many things to do, but when you break it down and do it bit by bit, and you map it all out, it’s not so scary now. (2:58)• Timeframes are important. Now, if you don’t reach your goal by the time frame that you give yourself, do you give up? No, you just adjust your time frame, you just adjust that deadline, and adjusting the deadline doesn’t mean it’s a failure, it just means it’s an adjustment, okay? So, don’t feel defeated when you don’t reach those deadlines, but work your ass off in order to hit those deadlines. (5:42)• You can think of so many different people who will benefit from whatever you have, it’s not just you. That’s what I was thinking earlier today, I was like, Oh my gosh, how many people would this help out? So the list, you can be unstoppable, I’m telling you right now. As I was writing this, writing the notes out for this podcast today, I was all excited because I’m like, Oh my God, this is so much fun to be able to map things out and help. You can tell, this is my jam, this gets me all excited. (9:28)• Let’s just say that right now, it’s going to cost money. When we talk about the food truck, it’ll cost money, right? But we’re also going to turn a profit with the ideas that we come up with along the way. You’re going to sacrifice going out with friends. There will be a lot of times where there are people who are going to be upset. Maybe you won’t go out with them because you’ve got things to do that involve achieving your goals, maybe you miss out on some parties or some dates. Do you know that saying, live like nobody else does now, so that you can live like nobody else can later? (11:02)• So first, we talked about social media in the five different ways on social media. Now we talk about referrals, referrals are going to come from business connections, in group trainings, like I’m part of, my gosh, how many groups am I a part of? I have no clue. But I can do in-group trainings, and in those, I can be a guest in some of those and create more connections through that. Again, podcast interviews, I can get referrals through those online shares, if somebody shares the post, somebody shares the marketing for it. And also sponsors or speaking engagements, so sometimes I can get sponsors on my podcast or speaking engagements on stages. When you want to achieve or embark on a journey that you've never been on before, you want to talk to people who have been on that similar journey before. SHOWNOTES:• In order to help other people grow. In order to help us grow, but then that also feeds into helping other people grow. These talents are given to us to make an impact and make the world better, that's how I live, that's how I always want to make an impact. And I think of my words, like sometimes you hear me on the podcast and my words, because of the fact that I don't read a script, my words are always in my head, and I want to craft my words in a way that are going to make an impact on you. So, I guess this is my time where I'm going to say my apology for stumbling over my words a lot, but at least you know, it's from the heart. But anyway, we're all happiest when we're progressing, and when we're progressing, when we're making that impact, that helps us in growing because we're also growing other people. (3:26)• Make it your goal to bring value to other people with your gift, leave people better than what they came with, leave them with wanting more, leave them with wanting more of you and more for themselves. If you do that, you've made a deposit in someone's life, they're one step closer to using their gift to impact the lives of other people, and that's what I think most people who listen to this podcast, that's what their goal is to impact the lives of others, right? It's sort of a ripple effect. (07:05)• This podcast, my voice, has been heard by thousands of people. Did I ever think that would ever happened? My goal was to reach people, of course, but not only that, it's reached across the globe. It's been heard in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Bosnia, India. When I started looking through this list of countries, I thought, Do I even know people there? Australia. I do, one of my good friends is there, but I'm like, How did it reach there, it's because somebody found value and shared it... I made a deposit and that deposit grew into reaching more people. So to look at that and realize that reach, it makes me excited to do even more. (8:19)• It's just going to come down to that. You're going to unleash your abundance. You're going to unleash greatness You're going to unleash your brave. You're going to unleash all the things that you've got inside of you that are just screaming to get out, so that you can live your best life and your family can live their best lives, and the lives that you deserve.
