Lindsay, I just wanted you to know that my heart really needed to hear this episode. I've been listening to your broadcast for about 3 years and this one was just what I needed to start my year with. thank you for sharing the story about the Catholic priest and his thoughts on it being us or them. not that we're working against each other. but that concept of the restoration or Reformation made much sense all those other religions grasping at straws. trying to put the church of Christ back toge

I know that you may feel that there are no "ites" but I promise you that there are some who feel that there are. I have a great ward. Very loving helpful people but I constantly feel like an outsider and unwelcome with some people. We may have few but there is room for improvement.

I really appreciate the teaching of understanding and how to feel the spirit. As an adult convert, it took me a while to recognize it. Embarrassingly, before I joined the church, I thought I was randomly psychic. But I was only right about half of the times I had "a feeling". I clearly saw a change when I realized it wasn't me at all but the Holy Ghost and that he is right 100% of the time.

I really like the quote about labels and status. I have been trying to warn my daughter about picking labels and identifying by them. I think meme culture applies. The youth have labels galore right now and once they find one they think is unique or that they resonate with, they are clinging to it like it is their identify. but there is so much more to who they are than one or two categories.
