So….. We need to talk about very serious topic. A tv show that has become very popular among church-goers and the unchurched alike… no doubt this show is loved by many! But the question remains is the show as fishy as its opening theme? Let’s talk about the chosen! No listen I have to be honest.. I loved this show just as much as the next guy in the begining… Until I off in my spirit… I was watching the show when God told me “TURN IT OFF…” I started to argue. “But it’s a christian show! About Jesus… God its ok..” And I kept watching. Later that night I started praying and I felt God say “that show is created out of demonic influence. To draw people away” While I was praying my wife Vivian called me into the other room and showed me a TikTok that was talking about how the show had hired multiple atheist, along with horror movie directors to play in cast. Now you might think oh thats not that bad… wait it gets worse… So lets talk about this first.. Dallas Jenkins - THE MORMON INFLUENCE. Dallas Jenkins the Director of the Chosen Actually said that Christian and Mormons Love the same Jesus! After making this horrible statement he tried to clear things up by lying and saying he never said they love the same Jesus… but as you can see in this next clip he makes matters even worse by saying there are Mormons LDS that are christians…. Bro you can’t be a Christian without excepting the blood atonement of Christ! Not to mention all the other doctrinal differences.. But it shouldn’t surprise us that the director embraces the mormons as “brothers and sisters..” Because the show is actually produced by mormons “angel studios” Jonathan Roumie's Catholic Influence The actor that plays Jesus in the chosen is a practicing Catholic. He’s been seen in many videos telling people to pray the rosary He is also plays lonnie frisbee in the film Jesus Revolution and the stuff this guy does is absolutely wild… going as far as practicing necromancy. For those of you unfamiliar with what I’m talking about, that fancy word means communication with the dead. He laid on Lonnies grave and prayed to him. Asking for a sign…. Now I would like to remind you of what the Bible says about this…. “there shall not be found among you.. one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord,…” -Deuteronomy 18:10-12 I hate to break it to you those false doctrine will bleed into the show! And lets face it the American christian barely shows up to church let alone reads there bible…in fact the show has stirred a large movement of people that love a show more than the word... small groups and youth ministries across America have started watching this show instead of studying the bible together. I have heard pastors quote the chosen as if thought it were bible! Which in of itself is very concerning. I’ve had youth come up to me and say “you know how Jesus said fill in the blank…” I looked at them confused…. I said “thats not in the bible..” “What?” They reply “it was in the chosen!!” So young christians across the world are building a theology off the doctrine of the chosen… not off the word… So the question is If people watch this show what type of Jesus are they receiving? well this show adds so much and takes away so much that the very character of Jesus isn’t even a biblical Jesus. Their version of Jesus is not the biblical Jesus. With everything said here we can clearly see the chosen can’t lead you to Christ. It can only lead you to a distorted version of Christ so far removed from the biblical Jesus that you wouldn’t even recognize the REAL Jesus if you saw him.
