Speaking about music, this episode we focused on two topics: (1) HYBE, company behind global phenom BTS, acquiring Ithaca Holdings, company led by Scoot Braun and (2) and an experimental concert that took place in Barcelona, Spain on March 27th that gathered 5,000 people (with masks but no social distancing) to see Spanish rock band Love of Lesbian (27:57).

To begin with this episode, a couple of very interesting and highly anticipated movie and TV show releases with Zack Snyder’s Justice League (#snydercut) and Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier leading the pack (2:09). Music-wise, a lot of movements in the UK Official Singles Chart while Lilia brought you a whole lot of album and song recommendations (13:57).
If last week we share our thoughts on the Grammys, this week we analyzed some of the impressive numbers and projections from the global recorded music market that we revealed last week. Those include total revenue generated, streaming, the big three (Sony, Universal, and Warner) losing market share, and independent artists generating more money than ever (29:25).

Music-wise, as always, interesting suggestions that Lilia brought to you guys and some interesting moves in the UK Official Singles Chart (12:59).
Back to the streaming wars conversation after a couple of episodes, we now spoke about Paramount+, ViacomCBS's new streaming service that hopes to challenge the biggest players with its vast library of content. Also, we commented on the fact that some analysts are already forecasting that Disney+ will surpass Netflix in subscribing numbers by 2026 (27:49).
