It's that time again - Mike and Mike are working to figure out who will be the subject of The Complete Works Season 5! In this episode, both Mikes introduce 5 nominees that they think would make for a compelling season of the podcast. After all 10 arguments have been made, we then whittle the names down until we're left with four finalists. And then, it will be up to YOU, the listener, to let us know which of those four finalists should be our winner - the poll goes live on BlueSky on February 9th, but you can hear the names for the first time right here!
It's time for the first Mike Makes Mike Watch of 2026! And to kick things off, it's a weird double feature: Mike D is making Smith watch a movie that had a stranglehold on '90s kids, FREE WILLY, while Smith is making Mike D watch David Lynch's surrealist nightmare LOST HIGHWAY!

It's Mike D's birthday, and you know what that means - it's time for a Birthday By-Law episode, where he gets to select any movie he wants to talk about! And this year, Mike has selected the 1968 Hammer Horror picture THE DEVIL RIDES OUT, starring Christopher Lee and directed by Terence Fisher!
We are rapidly approaching the end of our Roy Scheider season, and so it's only fitting that we use this occasion to find an excuse to talk about JAWS one last time. Scheider narrates and appears as an interview subject in THE SHARK IS STILL WORKING, a documentary made by JAWS fans exploring the impact and legacy of one of the greatest movies ever made.
