Raised in a house that is nothing like the TV sitcom families she loves, Rosie O’Donnell has to grow up fast. She has to deal with an abusive father, and the heartbreak of losing her mom way too soon. But somehow, her grit, determination, and natural humor lands her on a comedy club stage when she’s just a teen. After polishing her act on the road, Rosie gains national attention on the 80s TV talent show, “Star Search.” And she’s off and running. After stealing scenes in “A League of Their Own,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “The Flintstones,” she revolutionizes daytime television with her own feel-good talk show and is dubbed “The Queen of Nice.” But never one afraid to speak her mind, Rosie goes on to voice her opinions on “The View,” which lands her in a very public battle with the current sitting President of the United States. Throughout her life, Rosie’s always tried to stick up for what she feels is right, including LGBTQ+ rights. Which is why she’s getting her flowers from us during Pride Month! You can follow Brooke and Aricia on socials at @brookesiffrinn and @ariciaskidmorewilliamss. Whoopi Goldberg is the definition of hypocrite.... race grifter marrying and only dating white men. I used to love her and her quick wit but now all I can hear is her screaming on the view about her oppression. No one likes her anymore and it's her fault.

I absolutely love 'Even the Rich'! The storytelling is captivating, and the way they delve into the lives of some of the most fascinating figures in history is both entertaining and insightful. The hosts have a great rapport and make the rich history come alive with their engaging narrative style. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/evolution-of-custom-packaging--60836191
I just wanted to drop a quick note to say how much I’m enjoying ‘Even the Rich’! The way you delve into the lives of iconic figures with such depth and nuance is truly impressive. I love the combination of engaging storytelling and insightful analysis—it's like getting a backstage pass to history. https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/packaging-perfection-5799676/episodes/evolution-of-custom-packaging-218485801
they got a little bit victim-blamey in this episode. "Jen doesn't seem like the kind of person who would stick around if Brad behaved abusively" - a lot of very strong women end up in abusive relationships. this is super well documented. they also said that they think he was only abusive to Angelina, essentially because "she drove him crazy". fyi that's a common argument made by abusers. even if someone makes you super angry, it's never an excuse to be abusive. it's not her fault.
Angelina is not a victim. She's been a hot mess most of her life and no wilted flower. Her bad and cruel choices are a reflection of her lack of empathy. She's tried to ruin Pitt with her revenge lawsuits and actions, yet she's not winning awards for portraying herself as a victim. I'm not buying it, yet sadly, this podcast is. No bueno
I can't with this episode 🙄
Solid episode but you are missing one important fact known to every Long Beacher—Snoop and Cameron Diaz were classmates and he was her weed supplier. #worldscollide
I'm confused, what's wrong with "staged photos "? Dad doesn't seem to have done anything wrong, just living his life. Now the sister? that's another story.
bold move to cover someone that may or may not have killed her husband..
I'm just gonna throw it out there that MuchMusic isn't a show. It was the Canadian equivalent to MTV.
This podcast got so much wrong. That's what happens when you rely on outsiders acting as if they know what's going on.
Thank you for presenting the story with context that helped me see it as more than a punchline.
beautiful story!
Lucille Ball always had roses sent to Carol Burnett on her birthday. The day that Lucille Ball passed away, Carol Burnett's doorbell rang, with the Florist delivering the roses. Lucille Ball passed on Carol Burnett's birthday.
Lisa Marie and Pink did a song together. pink sang backup on one of Lisa's songs. I have all 3 of ber CD's and her song writing skills are amazing. RIP Lisa the king is now reunited with his princess.
It's such bullshit to fire someone for failing a drug test if their performance is not adversely affected... Shouldn't actual work performance count more than a piss stick? What people do outside of work is none of their employer's business... as long as it doesn't affect their work.
Wow, that’s really rude. They’re a nice family and that is a good show. Also, there are kids involved. Grow up.
'Rocky Top' was one of the 1st songs we learned in elementary school. I know that KFC on Chapman Hwy.
please stop saying 'Eastern Tennessee'. we refer to it as 'East Tennessee'. But all and all, I love your podcast. Even the Rich has gotten me through many hours of work. Y'all are the best. I've learned so much through your show.
