The power of the person's toil and effort is why we celebrate the Simchas Torah when we finish the Torah and not when we received it. Similar to the advantage of the Second Luchos which represents the person's impact. This is alluded to in the Parsha of V'zos Habracha, where it speaks of the breaking of the first Luchos.
Chelek 14, Vayelech 2
The uniqueness of Shabbos Teshuva that it leads to the highest level of Teshuva. This connects to Haazinu and "Moshe being close to heaven." We too can reach heaven through the Higher Teshuva.
The greatness of the Second day of Rosh Hashana is expressed mostly when the first day is Shabbos. A lesson in the importance of man's Avoda to make a dwelling place for Hashem.
