What kind of legacy are you building? It’s easy to think of legacy as something far in the future, yet the choices we make today are already shaping the tomorrows of our families, our churches, and those who will follow after us. The quiet acts of faithfulness, the priorities we set, and the lives we influence today will echo far beyond what we can see.In this special episode, we pause the When War Comes series to share a meaningful session from last year’s North Florida Baptist Ladies Conference held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. The message challenges us to consider how our daily faithfulness today prepares the way for the generations that follow. As you listen, we also invite you to join us for this year’s conference on April 10–11, where women gather for encouragement, fellowship, and spiritual growth.CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE AND TO REGISTER!If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. What does it look like to be a shepherd when your flock is taken away? When the Japanese community in Seattle was forced into internment camps during World War II, their pastor, Emory Andrews, didn't let the barbed wire end his ministry. From the outside looking in, he remained their faithful advocate, provider, and pastor, proving that the Gospel cannot be imprisoned. In this episode, Tracie and Abigail continue the season When War Comes by looking at the ministry of Emory Andrews. His legacy is one of persistent, active readiness—one of "feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace ." Despite facing personal difficulties, he never quit obeying God's call to serve. His story challenges us to keep our feet moving in the service of the Gospel, reminding us that true peace is found in steadfast obedience, even when we are ministering through the most painful circumstances. If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. When the world’s eyes are no longer on you, will your commitment to God's work remain? Perhaps most known as the Olympic champion who refused to run on Sunday, Eric Liddell’s most profound race was run on the mission field of China before and during World War II.In this episode, Tracie and Abigail continue the season When War Comes by exploring Liddell’s later years. Though he was a world-famous athlete, Liddell’s true armor—his "breastplate of righteousness"—was his unwavering character and his commitment to investing in the lives of others, even in the most undesirable and grueling circumstances. His testimony serves as a powerful reminder that while the world offers temporary medals, God calls us to give of ourselves in His name and provide a lasting testimony to those around us.Discover more about those were interred in the Weihsien Concentration Camp during WWII.If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. When truth is costly, will you still speak it? In moments when silence feels safer and obedience feels risky, it can be tempting to keep faith private. Yet God often places His truth in our hands not to be hidden, but to be shared—no matter the circumstances or the cost.In this episode, Tracie and Abigail continue Season 11 When War Comes through the story of Hansie’s conversion. While in hiding during World War II, she was cared for by "Domie" Bastiaan Ader, who risked his life, not only to protect her but also to share the saving power of the Gospel. Through the courage of Christians, she heard the life-changing truth of Christ—reminding us that when we stand firmly on God’s Word and speak it without reservation, God can use our obedience to preserve a life in this world and for Heaven. If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. What do you do when the danger keeps closing in and there seems to be no safe place left to run? When fear, uncertainty, and discouragement surround you, it can feel easier to give up than to hope. Yet even in the darkest moments, God often places help, protection, and encouragement right in our path—if we are willing to receive it.In this episode, Tracie and Abigail continue the season When War Comes with the remarkable true story of Johanna-Ruth “Hansie” Dobschiner, a Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during World War II. As the Nazi net tightened around her, Hansie experienced repeated, miraculous escapes from capture—testimonies recorded in her own autobiography. Even in seasons of deep discouragement, she chose to confide in others and accept the help God provided through coworkers and friends. Her story reminds us that when war comes into our lives, God is still at work—often through the very people He places beside us.If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. When fear grips a nation, where does courage come from? In seasons of uncertainty and loss, leadership is often measured not by power or position, but by presence, resolve, and hope. What does it look like to …Stand therefore… when retreat would be easier—and to encourage others simply by refusing to quit?In this episode, Tracie and Abigail continue the season theme When War Comes by exploring the courage and fortitude of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, known to history as the Queen Mother. During the darkest days of World War II, her steady strength and unwavering resolve became a source of encouragement for the people of England. Through her leadership, composure, and quiet bravery, she reminds us that when war comes—whether on a global stage or in our personal lives—God can use our resolve to …Stand therefore… to bring hope to others fighting their own battles. If you know of someone who can be helped by listening to the Abundant Living Podcast, please share this episode with them. What do you do when war comes into your life? It may not look like a battlefield, but the battles are real—health crises, broken relationships, financial hardship, unexpected loss, spiritual opposition, or seasons that leave you feeling overwhelmed and outmatched. When the odds feel impossible, it’s easy to wonder if standing firm will even matter. In this season opener, Tracie and Abigail introduce the new series “When War Comes,” drawing from powerful stories during and surrounding World War II. Through history, Scripture, and heartfelt conversation, they remind us that every believer will face moments of conflict—and that God calls His people to courage, faith, and obedience even when the cost is high. As we close this season of Cast Down Your Bucket Where You Are, we look to a woman whose obedience shaped how generations understand missionary history. Have you ever wondered how God might use your heritage, your story, or your place in life—right where you already stand—to make an eternal difference? In this final episode, Tracie and Abigail share the remarkable life of Geraldine Taylor, daughter-in-law of Hudson Taylor, who cast down her bucket exactly where God placed her. Though she served faithfully on the mission field, her greatest impact came through preserving the stories of those who carried the Gospel into China.
