Description

One Foot in the Podcast is delighted to present to you a whole back catalogue of deep-dive discussions on every single episode of this sensational, surreal and hilarious sitcom.
One Foot royalty guests include: Creator & Writer David Renwick; PA & Director Chris Gernon; Art Director, Richard Drew; Richard Wilson; Doreen Mantle; Owen Brenman and Gordon Peters. Other special guests include Father Ted/Black Books/The IT Crowd writer Graham Linehan, Thin Blue Line and Gimme Gimme Gimme star, James Dreyfus.
I also have very knowledgeable and passionate regular guests on, for the most part.

I attended the Only Fools and Horses convention and met the legend that is Sir David Jason. At long last! I speak my thoughts on the drive home.
One Foot in the Podcast outro music creator, Anthony Satterthwaite chinwags with me about 'Wisdom of the Witch' - which the alternative title given would suggest we get quite iritated with the person responsible for Victor nearly being killed. I mean, he is eventually killed but had Renwick had other ideas, we'd have been starved of 2 more specials and a final series. Merry Christmas. Tom Griff
He was supposed to turn up on the pod for the usual Sunday slot, but alas, he arrived Wednesday! So, in the spirit of Chippy Joe, this pod is being released on a Wednesday. Jonathan Kydd was so easy to natter with and a man of many talents. Thank you for downloading.
Part 2 of the unplanned ramble. A cheeky couple of games mid way through for you to play along.
Hello and welcome. Pod regulars, Si and Dazza join me to quite simply, keep me company. It's just us talking. Mainly about comedy. I hope it inspires....someone? It won't, but we had great fun.
Doreen Mantle, aged 97, has sadly passed away as announced today by her agent. Si, Darren and I pay tribute to one of the comedy greats in TV sitcom history. We loved Mrs. Warboys, but she will live on in the One Foot in the Grave universe forever more.
This has got to be a first, but I recorded and uploaded a podcast outside of Victor Meldrew's house. Just a short and sweet live transmission of my thoughts on the show whilst I holiday in the Poole area.
I'm podding with Jen, a resident in the Christchurch area. Which was the only excuse I needed to do some podding once again. We have a general One Foot natter, chucked in a quiz, a quick-fire round and a Desert Island Discs special.
Picking up where we left off with part 2 of the Renwick special.
Hello! David Renwick makes his fourth appearance on the podcast (not that I'm counting), to talk about for the most part, Jonathan Creek. Jonathan Creek remains one of the, if not the greatest mystery drama comedy out there, in my opinion. It stands the test of time. Si and I throw several questions David's way (poor man) and the three of us had fun discussing this other masterpiece of David's. P.S Happy Birthday to Si!
Back with a sequel to the "one-off" Creek discussion from the other week. One of our favourite Creek episodes just had to be aired in review form.
Welcome back to part 2 (of 2), closing the final couple of chapters of David Renwick's 'One Foot in the Grave and Counting'. Social experiment - if you are one of the probable few who reads the gubbins in this podcast upload, get in touch and let me know that you read this! And then introduce yourself!
I finally got round to reading David Renwick's 'One Foot in the Grave and Counting' novel released October 2021. I for one was grateful to have some new material to review, albeit there being some very familiar storylines, there was plenty to sink my teeth into given the subtleties in differences between the TV series and this book. Plus, some organic One Foot material! You know the drill - get in touch with me to talk One Foot. Do it. Now! Still not done it?
Welcome! This could be the dawn of a new era in One Foot in the Podcast land - in the respect that perhaps I'll be doing more of a diverse route into discussing some of Britain's finest TV shows? Or perhaps not. I've always wanted to go down the Jonathan Creek rabbit hole and particularly withmy old school mate, Si Marsh. He is very much the Creek to my Meldrew. He is a Creek fanatic and it was great fun topic jumping in the world of Creek, written by the genius David Renwick.
Ben Shaw was the first ever guest on the podcast and here he is, helping to close the rewatch series. The last of the episodes I had previously only ever reviewed alone.
A lovely little getaway at April and Vince's boarding house in Bournemouth, two pretty young ladies somewhat gazing over Victor and some monumental misunderstandings of the highest proportion, whip up a bit of a storm for the Meldrews on this not so relaxing holiday. Sarah joins me this week as she helps to dissect this episode and explore the psyche of the main characters. Here's a bonus extra from Rach and her pops, Tim, where they head-off for a quick quiz and take it in turns to reveal their ultimate One Foot themed experience if stranded on a desert island.
Rach (formally Miss. Penycate, now Mrs. Rowatt) and her dad, Tim, join me to discuss 'Who Will Buy'. This is a podcast first having two guests on at the same time to discuss a regular episode. It's also a first having a guest and their relative join the show!  Watch out for a proceeding episode of fun and games that follows.
Hello! This week, it's a bit of an alternative take on all things reviews. Richard and I do discuss Dramatic Fever, but it's not picked through like a fine-tooth comb like usual. This is a more informal and relaxed approach and often us going off topic! You'll find Richard over at BBC Radio Sounds and on his ever-popular Stereo Underground slot.
Thank you for downloading - Graham joins me with the dissecting of this great second episode involving some animal tragedy, TCP and a decorative nightmare for the Meldrews.
