There's a lot of things going on in the sports world, even with the ending of the NBA season, the WNBA Draft, the Stanley Cup playoffs coming, baseball season in full swing, Ohio State Buckeyes spring football game, the UFL season, and the Masters golf tournament. Nothing was more shocking than one thing, the death of OJ Simpson. His death was a reminder of all the worst things about one of the most horrifying people that ever walked the face of the earth. We will never have any of the questions answered. My thoughts and prayers still goes out to the Brown and Goldman families. For these families, the nightmare is over and the boogie man is finally gone. Thanks for listening and enjoy the rest of your Sports Weekend. We will be back next week with Episode 216 of the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast.
Well, well, well, I know, another episode in two days? A first time for everything. We are talking about the Men's and Woman's Final Four and the Championship games on both sides. The big questions are out there, Will Caitlin Clark's final game end with a ring? Will the South Carolina Lady Gamecocks become the 10th undefeated team in the sport? Will Purdue and Edey fight off the demons of the past to upset UConn? Or, Can UConn go back to back for the first time since Florida? These are the biggest questions that will be answered. It's official, the Oakland A's are done in Oakland. This sad chapter has no happy ending. Thank the owner, the City of Oakland, the City of San Francisco, the Commissioner of Baseball, the owners, and everyone that screwed over the fans of Oakland. It's a very sad day when any fan base loses their team to greedy and stupidity. Thanks for listening and enjoy this episode and the rest of your Sports Weekend. See you back here next weekend with Episode 215 of the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast.
On this special episode, the GURU has a brief sit down with CBS Sports Radio and SiriusXM NBA radio host, Dave Shepherd. This all hoops 🏀 episode gives you a little insight and what to expect from the Men's and Woman's Final Four, and some NBA. This has been a true honor to have a conversation with one of the most talented rising stars on the radio. Thank you again for listening to this special episode. Find us on all platforms that carry your podcasts. We will be back on Sunday with Episode 214. Enjoy the Final Four and the start of your Sports Weekend.
It's the first Sunday of the baseball season and the GURU is joined by our very special guest Mr. David May Jr, of the Toronto Blue Jays. We always enjoy his thoughts and insights on the Jays and the league. It's always a great time to gain some knowledge on all things baseball ⚾️. We also mentioned our LV. Raiders and we both are excited for the upcoming NFL season. On Tuesday, we had to turn our attention away from sports to think about the people of Baltimore Maryland, and the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The crew at this podcast sends out our thoughts, prayers, and condolences to all the lives that were lost in this tragedy. I also hope that the city of Baltimore can heal and recover from this horrible accident at sea. Thanks to all of the policemen, and first responders that save the lives, without hesitation. Thank you for listening to this special episode of the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast and Happy Easter 🐣. We will be back next week with Episode 213. Enjoy the rest of your Sports Weekend and Easter Sunday.
I did not mention my brackets in the episode, because they are done on day one. Both the men and women are battling for the NCAA championship. The GURU has watched more women's basketball than the men, they compete harder and all their games has excitement. The bombshell dropped late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning on the news of the situation between Shohei Ohtani and his interpreter. 4.5 million dollars missing is a giant call for concern, but now this has blown up, and no one knows where this is going. Thanks for listening and enjoy the rest of your Sports Weekend. We will be back next week with Episode 212 of the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast.
Of all the things we try not to think about, politics intersecting with sports has finally made it clear. Aaron Rodgers has a new project he's trying to accomplish. Rodgers is being considered a potential candidate for the vice president. Robert Kennedy Jr. needs a runner mate, and guess who? We are a few hours away from the selection of both the men's and women's brackets for the NCAA tournament, with three of the four top seeded teams losing. It's crystal clear that the defending champs, the UConn Huskies, will be the number one overall team. The GURU takes a look at the war of words between Tiki Barber, Saquan Barkley, Ryan Clark, and Marcus Stroman. How a mild joke has come to a media firestorm. Thanks again for listening to this episode. You can find this podcast everywhere you get your podcast from. Send us your comments, thoughts, suggestions, and feedback on this podcast. Subscribe as well. We will be back next week with Episode 211.
There are a few things that I will not attempt. One of them is getting in the ring with MIKE TYSON? Yes, the Tyson verses Jake Paul event or spectacle will go down this summer. I think this is a death-wish. This isn't any ordinary retired athlete that Paul will be facing. It's MIKE "FREAKING" TYSON! The Madness has begun. The smaller NCAA conference tournaments are underway, and there have been some interesting finishes already. Thanks for listening and subscribing, and downloading this podcast. Find us wherever you get your podcast from. We will be back next weekend with Episode 210. Until then, enjoy the rest of your Sports Weekend. Take care and stay safe.
LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to surpass 40,000 points. It was a great accomplishment, but the LA Lakers still can not beat the reigning NBA champs. Caitlin Clark is heading to the WNBA. The greatest woman's college basketball player is taking her talents to the next level. It's a great move. There is another great woman's player out there, and the GURU talks about her. Check out this episode for more. What's up with the MLB uniforms? The GURU has to check on it. Thanks again for listening, subscribing, and downloading this podcast. We will be back next weekend with Episode 209. The GURU will see you real soon.
It's crunch time in College Basketball. There are several teams that are having good seasons and some great seasons. Indiana State, Iowa State, Washington State, and Appalachian State are some of the few we have to pay some attention to. Court storming has to go! Kyle "Flip" Filipowski(of Duke University) was injured in the game between Duke and Wake Forest. The Wake students looked like a cattle stampede running to celebrate their upset win. Kevin Durant took the high road as he confronted two hecklers before the game between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks. Thanks for listening, and enjoy this episode. Subscribe to the podcast. We will see you back here next week with Episode 208 of the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast. Until next week, the GURU will see you real soon.
An extended episode with the final word on the Super Bowl, and the CONSPIRACY THEORIES that follow this game. Now that the NFL is in the rear view window, we turn our sights on other sports like Spring Training in baseball, the NHL stadium series, the NBA All Star Weekend, and the Men's and Woman's College basketball seasons heading into March Maddness. I love Caitlin Clark's game, and what she's doing in college. Raising the bar for Woman's basketball, and the talk has begun about her place in women's basketball history. RIP Lefty Driesell, The legendary coach died yesterday at the age of 92. Check us out wherever you get your podcasts from. We will be back next week with Episode 207. Thanks for listening and enjoy the rest of your Sports Weekend. The GURU will see you real soon.
Super Bowl Sunday, 2024. This episode is a mini breakdown of this year's game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The GURU will make a prediction on this game, but you gotta listen to his thoughts on this one. This episode is also marks the fourth anniversary of this podcast. Four years ago, the GURU just wanted to talk a little sports, but this has grown to almost everything and anything in the world. We have covered everything from food, to mental health, comedy, HIP-HOP, love and relationships, cigars, booze and people, and everything under the sun, EXCEPT! religion and politics. Those to subjects will never be a topic on this podcast. Thanks again for listening and enjoy this episode. The GURU will be back next week with Episode 206, to put a wrap on the 2024 NFL season. Just remember, the GURU will see you real soon.
The GURU is back from a great weekend with dad and battling a brief cold. What are we doing, people? We are complaining, hating, and going crazy over Brock Purdy and Taylor Swift. For one, she's a beautiful, talented singer who has become a global icon, and the other is a young phenomenon that came out nowhere to lead his team to a Super Bowl appearance. Leave these people alone! All they done this season has made the NFL watchable and something to talk about. The NFL has been around for over 100 years, and they slowed down yet. People, please stop hating! If you're getting upset over this, then you need to seek help. Believe me, it's NOT that serious. Check out this episode and all episodes @Spreaker website, download, and like this podcast. We will be back next weekend with Episode 205 and our fourth anniversary episode. See you next week. The GURU will see you real soon.

The year 2023 has produced so many memorable moments. The GURU, Donte, and Kaden take a look back on the four majors and a complete rundown of what happened this year. From the Kansas City Chief winning the Super Bowl to the end of the College Football Playoffs four team format. We had three new champions, as the celebration was seen in Texas, Denver and Las Vegas. We discussed the most horrifying images of a player in the NFL that almost passed away, to the rise of a college football program that was rejuvenated and caught the hype. A NFL team that had hope, but it all ended four plays into the new season. We also had to say goodbye to some very special people this year and remember them always. From all of us at the GURU TALKIN SPORTS podcast, we wish you a very happy new year. Subscribe and download this podcast wherever you get your podcasts from.
