The Weekly Whats Update

Grant’s back!  And we are gearing up for a hot ass summer on The Block with a ton of new shows incoming as well as the HEAT!  I think we are ready for it… almost… We catch up on the last couple of weeks events and also get to talk all things DJing like our latest endeavors in the wonderful world of “people that make requests” (just a tip, don’t make one if it doesn’t make any sense with what’s already playing).  We have some signs posted in our venues know that politely ask to try your best to enjoy the night without having to bother the DJ doing their jobs.  Also another pro tip always make sure when you are leaving the clubs late at night to always have a buddy with you to get you to your car or you can always ask one of our Corner Bar security guards and they will gladly get you sorted for your safety. We have a very special guest in the studio with one of our favorite local minimal producers and friends SKYE coming through to let us know all the great things happening from her latest releases, upcoming shows, her latest production tools, and also lends her vast knowledge of producers to help the conversation stay on track with facts! Grants gone!  But we have a very special guests sitting in this week who we get to chat with about all things happening after hours for his monthly event at EGO nightclub to EDC and then everything I’m between and coming after.  This week we have one our favorite producer/DJs in the hot seat the one and only Korsky.  The bois talk about his journey trough the days of trudging vinyl around to working the local Vegas DJ circuit all the way to the present grind doing it 100 and going the producer route and making his own originals. Season 5 Ep. 1 We made it to Season 5!  How many seasons of anything get better with a season 5?  We have another Very Special Guest in the building non other than one of our favorite Corner Bar AV crew and residents at one of the hottest downtown venues in DTLV, the one the only JDHD.  We get to know a little behind the mind of one of the fastest up and coming DJs in the scene from his music stylings in the open format world to his super popular K-Pop night he puts on that goes absolutely bananas with the kids.  Did someone say Coachella?  I’m sure you have heard  it for the last month that everyone and their moms will be heading to Palm Springs the next coming two weeks to get extremely lit and sun burned out on the Empire Polo fields for the first official kick off Festival of the actual Festival season… COACHELLLLA.  We will be doing a full recap of the happenings of all our friends and fam going out there this week as well as Shaun and myself heading out Sunday to fully send it for the last day of weekend 1 (including all the afters).  So wish us luck!  Also we give you the lowdown on what’s going down this weekend in downtown for all the NOchella crews there’s still plenty happening to keep you busy in Sin City so tune in for the lowdown.  Stay safe out there, hydrate, sunscreen, NARCAN, know your limits and stay with your friends!  See you downtown or in Indio this weekend! Grant is off!  But we have a good sub, who happens to be our special guest for the week (and the only guest we’ve had to come on the show since we started the pod) MA of MGMA, the other half of our Marks on AV, Mark Anthony. This week we dive into all kinds of tea like what in the world happened to one of LV's oldest afterhour nightclubs... Season 4 Ep.3 Red rock or Red Rocks? Or Wed Wocks, wedding rocks…. Happy end of January finally and get ready for the loving month of February where we get to celebrate all things NOT January.  Lot s of stuff happening this month so keep tuned in for all the info.  Got some fun shows lined up for this month in Downtown as well as the usual shenanigans occurring.  What are your plans for Super Bowl weekend?  Will you be going? Season 4 Episode 2 We are back from a small hiatus, Happy Bday Just Shaun!  Take people bowling more. Got to see an absolute legend do a sick pop up right in DTLV on the fly!  Fun Tuesday starting the work weekend off right we have SINEMA coming back to We All Scream rolling into a super packed weekend of fun with the return of HOLY House to Discopussy on Friday and UNITY events hitting it on Saturday. Episode 4 of season 3 we jump right into our recap of last weekend with Justin Martin and Jess Bays bringing the action to the block!  Jess even decided to stick around for the week to check out some of the up coming shows like tonights Club Soda with non other than A-Track and The Magician going back to back on the ice cream truck in the backyard at We All Scream.  Talk about a start to a crazy weekend were we have one of the biggest shows to date happening at Disco Pussy along with a jam packed line up of talent coming through all our properties all weekend long including a Chicago House legend bringing a Disco party to the Cone on Saturday night to a Redbull 3Style champ coming by way of Brazil to grace the decks on Sunday night at Cheap Shot.  We want to extend our condolences to the ROAD podcast family and the friends and family of the late Evan Boyd aka DJ Neva who was one of the best humans to ever do it in the industry.  Rest In Peace Black Panda. We Are Back!! EP 7 The boys are back in town, and boy do they have a lot to unveil about their week in Detroit for the Mecca of all Techno Festivals in the US, Movement.  We welcome back the boys from Detroit and get a full recap from their first night in town for Grants gig opening for the Saunderson Brothers to what the festival Movement is all about, history making on the main stage by a favorite female Belgian DJ, the OGs of techno who helped start it to the array of events that surround the festival that give it a whole other level of depth as the leading techno festival in the states.  We also cover some of the essentials for dealing with such a long week of debauchery, from having a great host, to eating well and taking time to rest in between the many events happening 24/hrs.  We jump into our upcoming weekend of events starting with the Grand Re Opening of one our Flagship restaurant and bar Park on Fremont on Wednesday night, moving into the Weekend of fun with a huge one for us coming up on Friday night at Discopussy with our Fremont House Mafia takeover!  Make sure to listen in for all the rest of the happenings and shenanigans and as always thank you for your support and see you soon in DTLV!
