2025-11-2202:57

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 22nd of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Gospel of John 6:42: ”And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” What a beautiful statement! “I have come down from heaven”. Oh, my dear friend, I want to tell you something so special and precious this morning. I want to tell you about Jesus. Jesus is God, made flesh. If we look at Matthew 1:23. He is referred to as, “Immanuel”. What does that mean? It’s a Hebrew word which means, “God with us”, and if you look at John 14:9, Jesus Himself said, ”If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” So that is where all the problem came from in that little town of Nazareth, where Jesus said, ”I have come down from heaven.” They couldn’t understand that. They said, ”This is the son of Joseph and Mary, who live up the road.” What they did not realise was that God became flesh and dwelt among us! Many years ago, I heard a story about somebody who came up to an evangelist and said, ”You know, we all serve and we all believe in the same God.” And this man said, ”No, we don’t.” And he said, ”What do you mean?” And then the evangelist asked this man, ”Does your god have a son?” And the man said, ”No, He does not.” And he said, ”That’s why we don’t serve the same God. You see, the God I serve has a Son. His name is Jesus Christ.” I want to say to you today, at the end of the day, we can argue as much as we like, but the bottom line for me is this - relationship. I know a Man, a Man who can walk on water, I know a Man who can raise the dead, I know a Man who is coming back very soon! Yes, in my little quiet time room where I’m recording this message, I can tell you, I can feel His presence. Yes, I can feel Him, I can sense Him and I’m telling you that He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother and He wants to be your friend today. Please speak with Him, He’s waiting to hear from you.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.
No Regrets

No Regrets

2025-11-2102:51

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 21st of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to 2 Corinthians 5:17:”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” No regrets about the past. If you’re a new person in Christ, you’ve got to look forward. Remember, I’m the farmer. You can’t plough a straight line if you keep looking behind you. We’ve got to move forward. There is no future in the past. I looked up the Oxford dictionary to find out the literal meaning of the word “regret”. Do you know what regret is, young person? “Aah, I shouldn’t have done that. I wish I hadn’t done that,” and the older people, ”Man, I should have thought more. I should have phoned my friend before he died, but he’s gone now and I won’t get a chance to speak to him again in this life.”A regret, according to the Oxford dictionary, is “to feel sorry or to be disappointed about something that you have done or something that you should have done.” There’s no point in looking back, we’ve got to move forward. Now, C S Lewis, is one of my favourite authors, a very deep man in the Lord. A man who had a previous life, he was actually an atheist, he had no time at all, he didn’t believe in God, and then he had a beautiful encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, and this is what he says. He says, ”You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”Isn’t that beautiful? I’ll say that once again. I think it’s very pertinent today to somebody who’s trying to come to grips with maybe something terrible that happened in the past. You wish you could rectify it, but you can’t. He says you can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start, that’s today, where you are, and change the ending! Let’s do it, you and I, let’s say: Lord, we are so sorry for the mess-ups we’ve made in the past, the people that we’ve hurt, the things we should have done and we didn’t do it, but Lord, I want to start today and I want to change the ending of my life. In Jesus' name, amen.God bless you and goodbye.

Jesus First

2025-11-2003:01

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 20th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Gospel of Matthew 6:33. Jesus says: ”But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  What a beautiful scripture! Seek first the kingdom. First thing in the morning, that’s the time, seek the face of the Lord. Get your directions for the day, and then you will have a pleasant, successful and peaceful day.John Bunyan was the man who wrote the fantastic book called “The Pilgrim’s Progress”. They say it’s maybe the most read book of all time, next to the Bible itself. A beautiful story. He spent most of his life in jail because of his stand for Jesus Christ. Now he says, and I quote, ”He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day.” Basically, if you don’t have a quiet time in the morning, you will never catch up right through the day. Come on, let’s be honest. We need to change those principles now, and we need to put Jesus first every morning and then the rest of the day will go well. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, And His righteousness, And all these things shall beAdded unto you. Halleluh, Hallelujah. Halleluja, Halleluja,Halleluja, Halleluh, Halleluja.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
The Bread of Life

The Bread of Life

2025-11-1902:52

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 19th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.  We start in the Gospel of John 6:35 (Amplified Bible): “Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Saviour] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually].” Jesus Christ is the bread of life. Have you ever been to a bakery very, very, early in the morning, where they make the bread at the back of the bakery and bring it out on trays? It is looking so beautiful, so brown and a delicious aroma. Aah, I love it so much, and then when you cut a slice of that bread, and you take some fresh farm butter and you spread it over liberally, and it starts to melt into that hot bread, I don’t think there’s too much that tastes better than that! That’s why I get up in the morning at 4 o’clock, because I don’t like to eat stale bread. I don’t like to eat bread that is old. I don’t like to eat bread that is contaminated by the things of the world. We must get the Bread of Life, every single morning before anything else. Before we listen to the world news, before we start phoning other people and getting different opinions of different world events, we must go to the bakery, my dear friend. Radio Pulpit always says to me when we talk about evangelism, it is one hungry beggar showing another hungry beggar where to find bread. He says where to find the bakery, because that’s where the spiritual Bread of Life is. So, young person, today I want to tell you, get up in the morning and get into your quiet time room, wherever that might be. Open your Bible and read the Word of God, and that word will sustain you for the whole day, but if you don’t go to the bakery early in the morning, you’ll have to put up with stale bread, contaminated bread, which will confuse you.Get to the Bread of Life. His name is Jesus!God bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

2025-11-1802:03

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 18th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 6:27: “Do not labour (do not work) for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life,…”   This is Jesus speaking. Then we go back to the Old Testament, to the Book of Ecclesiastes 1:14. They say it was written by Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived. He says it is “grasping for the wind” Are you grasping for the wind today? Are you on the wrong track? Are you spending all your time, all your effort,  in building up things which will perish, maybe even before you die, and have no everlasting benefit to anyone or anything? We need to be like Jesus and get our priorities in order. Mark 8:36, the word of God says: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”  I want to say to you today, be careful that you’re not putting all your effort into something that has no eternal value. Yes, we have to put food on the table for our families, we have to be responsible citizens, but we have to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these other things will be added to us.Today please, listen to what the Lord is saying to us. Stop chasing after the wind and start seeking Jesus Christ, and He will undertake for you in every area of your lives. Jesus bless you and goodbye.
Giving

Giving

2025-11-1703:34

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, 17th November 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 36:7:” …for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.” The people were bringing in the material to build the tabernacle but they brought in so much, eventually Moses had to say, ”Stop, there’s too much.” What a beautiful attitude! I think many of us need to take a good look at ourselves and ask if we are doing that very thing when it comes to the things of God. Then we go to 2 Corinthians 9:7:”So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” Today we want to speak about giving. When the Children of Israel began contributing to the building of the tabernacle, before the temple was constructed, God provided them with exact specifications. The people brought in the materials, and the artisans constructed the building. Here, I believe God is saying to you and me, we need to check our motive for giving. Why do we give? It’s so sad when I hear some men talking more about money than about anything else. Now it is a fact that you cannot out-bless the Lord. Our Father is a giver by nature. He gave us His only begotten Son so that we might have eternal life through faith in Him, and He gave His Son willingly, but if you are giving to the Lord expecting a return, like an insurance policy, that is not acceptable to God. We give to the Lord because we love Him, and God says He loves a cheerful giver. We give because He’s given us so much. Zacchaeus, remember the little man up the tree, when Jesus came to his house, and all the other tax collectors, the thieves were together, Zacchaeus said, ”I’m going to give up to 400 per cent of anything I have taken from anyone”. - just in gratitude for the salvation that he has received. You know, it’s not even the amount you give. Look at the widow, she only had a couple of cents. Jesus said she's given more than the man with the bag of gold, who had so much money. We slaughtered 40 oxen to feed the men at the Mighty Men Conference in 2008, when we had the biggest tent in the world, for one meal folks. I can’t believe it either! We fed them for a whole weekend, but you know something? We never went short, and at the end of that event, everything we gave to the Lord, He gave back to us. We owed nobody a thing.Today, give with a cheerful heart and the Lord will do the rest,God bless you and goodbye.
Use Your Gifting

Use Your Gifting

2025-11-1603:24

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 16th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 35:10: ”All who are gifted artisans among you shall come and make all that the Lord has commanded” - they were building the tabernacle for God. Then we go to Mark 6:3: ”Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary…”Who were they speaking about? Jesus Christ. Jesus was an artisan. Jesus was a tradesman. Yes, the Greek word “tektōn” means “carpenter-builder,” so He probably worked with wood and stone. We need to use our gifting to glorify God. We have a widow who stays with us here at Shalom, and she is a very godly woman. She is a quiet woman, she’s not a preacher, but I want to tell you something now, she preaches with a paint brush. Yes, she is a talented artist. Just hanging behind my chair right here in my prayer room is the most beautiful painting that she painted for me, many many years ago of the Holy Nativity and even as we are approaching Christmas, it is very important to me again, to see the little Babe in a manger with His mother and father, literally looking onto Him. She preaches with a paintbrush.I also have a grandson here at Shalom. I have many grandsons, this one is very young. He is a gifted worker with leather. He’s not shy, but he’s a quiet cowboy. With his hands, he makes leather belts, he makes bridles for his horses, he makes halters to catch his horses in the field, and he expresses his love for Jesus through the gifting that God has given to him. Today, I want to say to mom and dad, let your child express their love for Christ through the gifting that the Holy Spirit has given them, whatever it might be, because through it, God will get the glory.Do you remember Saint Francis of Assisi? He was a member of a very wealthy family. He gave it all up and went out to live with the poorest of the poor. He built a monastery basically with his bare hands. Now, I don’t know if it is an actual fact or not, but it is attributed to him as having said, “Preach the Gospel at all costs, and if you really have to, use words.” Very interesting!Today, use what God has given you. We can’t all be evangelists, we can’t all be teachers, we can’t all be ministers, but we can all use the gift that God has given us to glorify His Son.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.

Humble

2025-11-1502:46

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, 15th November 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 6:15:”Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.” The most humble person who has ever lived! He said if you want to be the best or the greatest, you must become the least. They wanted to make Him king. He knew it was not His time. He withdrew to the mountains by Himself. Oh folks, we need to be more like Jesus. There are too many of us clamouring to become famous and popular. I looked up John Lennon. He was the leader of probably the most famous rock and roll band in the world at the time, The Beatles. He made a statement and he did apologise afterwards. He said that they were more popular than Jesus, but at the age of 40, he was gunned down and he died.Elvis Presley - I’ve been to Graceland in Memphis Tennessee, I went with my good friend Tommy. We went to that beautiful house to go and have a look. It was one of the saddest places I’ve ever been. They said he was such a generous man. Elvis Presley was regarded as the most popular man in the world. They called him “The King of Rock and Roll,” but he could never sleep. He used to play the piano into the early hours of the morning and he would sing hymns they said. His kitchen was open 24 hours a day. He was thronged with friends, well I don’t know if they were friends or hangers-on, so much so that his wife and his little daughter eventually left him, and then at the age of 42 years old, in the newspapers, the headlines, “The king is dead.”I want to say to you today, don’t seek after the popularity of men, of society, of this world, rather seek after the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, a Friend who sticks closer than a brother, Jesus Christ. Rather be like Him, and you will live a long time and you will live a peaceful life because when you follow Jesus, He gives you life eternal! Jesus bless you and have a wonderful and quiet day,Goodbye.

2025-11-1403:13

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 14th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Book of Exodus 34:29: ”…Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.”  Moses had just come down from Mt Sinai with the Ten Commandments. He had spent 40 days and 40 nights in the presence of our Heavenly Father, and his face was shining like the sun. Isn’t that amazing? We go to Matthew 17:2: ”…and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” That was Jesus, our Saviour, when He went up the Mount of Transfiguration. He shone like the sun when He met with His Heavenly Father. Folks, that can happen to you and me as well if we spend time with the Lord Jesus Christ, then we start to become more and more like Him. Moses had to wear a veil over his face. The people were too scared to come near Him because of the presence of God in His life. Surely that’s how we should be as well. People should want to come and be with us because they see the love and the presence of God in our lives, not so much by the way we look, but rather by the way we act and live. You know, little children are very good judges of people who know God. They are drawn to people like that. I’ve seen them. They’ll hang around and stand around and be close to people who spend time with God.I want to tell you about a man that made a big impression in my life when I was a new Christian, many many years ago. His name was Reverend Tom Parker and his dear wife, Gladys. They came all the way from Yorkshire, England and they became the ministers of the little church here in Greytown, one of the dearest men I think I’ve met in my life. He had a hard life. He was in the Second World War, serving on submarines. He never complained and was always gentle. He wasn’t the greatest preacher that I’ve ever heard but he gave off the presence of Jesus wherever he went. I used to love just sitting, listening to him talking and he would get so caught up in the Holy Spirit, that you battled to follow him when he was preaching, but I want to tell you, he gave the presence of God wherever he went. You and I today as well, people just want the love of God and they are desperate to meet with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.Today, let’s be Jesus to them. God bless you and goodbye.

2025-11-1303:15

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 13th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Old Testament in the Book of Exodus 34:7:”…by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity (the sin) of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Then we go straight to the Book of Romans 6:23:”For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Beautiful! Many people often contact me and they are very troubled and they say that they really feel oppressed. They find themselves doing the very things they don’t want to do and they find out that their parents and their grandparents before them did exactly the same thing. I’m talking about sin. I’m talking about things like alcoholism, drug addiction, immorality even suicide. “Yes, my father took his life, my grandmother took her life, and so what hope is there for me?” Well, there is lots of hope for you today. If we go to Luke 8:2, we’ll see that Mary Magdalene was delivered of seven demons by Jesus. He set her free. That woman was the first person to see Jesus resurrected from the tomb on Easter Sunday.I want to pray for you this morning and I want to pray that this thing that you are troubled with will be cut off once and for all. That’s why Jesus said: ”It is finished.” John 8:36 says if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. You do not have to walk around with that thing on your back. Today it is going to be cut off and never to be spoken of again. Now if you want me to do that, I’m going to pray for you and maybe you’d like to pray after me:Dear Lord Jesus, Today I repent of all the sins of my fathers and mothers and grandfathers and grandmothers and those before them, because Lord, You came down from heaven to earth to set things straight. You’ve said if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us and set us free.(1 John 1:9). Therefore, you are free today. Go, as Jesus always said, and sin no more. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.

2025-11-1203:16

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 12th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to Mark 6:37:”But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.” We’re talking about feeding the five thousand with two fish and five barley loaves of bread. Some thoughtful mother gave her little boy, I’m sure, two little sardines, five little barley loaves of bread, to go to listen to Jesus preaching. That is all the disciples could find, but that’s all that Jesus needed. Remember what happened? He took the fish, He took the bread, He lifted them up to heaven and He said to the Lord, ”Lord please, You multiply them” and He did.Oh folks, I can give testimony to that. Yes, young man, young lady, it actually happened on this very farm, and the year was 2007 at a Mighty Men Conference. We had ordered a five-thousand-seater tent, and we told the men that we would supply them with food. Well, the big day arrived, the tent was erected and everyone is excited, and seven thousand five hundred men arrived on this farm. I want to say to that housewife, that mother, the one who does all the cooking in the house. How would you like it if an extra 2,500 men came home with your husband and your son to spend the weekend with you, and you had to feed them? I think you’d run for your life. I would. That’s exactly what happened. Oh yes!On Friday night, the ladies had prepared food for five thousand men. That’s quite a task anyway, but seven thousand five hundred arrived. They came to me, they didn’t know what to do, they said, ”Angus, please tell them to go easy with the food.” Now, there were some big strong farmers from all over the country and miners, businessmen, policemen, professional sportsmen, they were all there. I was so overwhelmed at the turnout. I got up on the platform before supper, before we said grace, I said, ”Boys, I have a request from the kitchen, eat as much as you can.” And they did. These boys came out with plates of food from the kitchen, but you know something? Every single one of them got fed, and there were baskets full of leftovers afterwards. Our God is only testing us in this world to see if we can believe Him. There is nothing which is impossible for God.Have a wonderful day, Jesus bless you and goodbye.
Mercy and Compassion

Mercy and Compassion

2025-11-1103:19

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 11th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Book of Romans 9:14-15: “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”I am sure you will agree with me - I am so very happy that it is the Lord, our God, who determines our future at the end of the day - upholding fairness, justice and honour. I am so pleased that when I get to Heaven, there is nobody who is going to judge me apart from my Heavenly Father, because we men are so fickle. What does that mean? Well, I know that young man says, “I don’t know that word.” Well, today we are hunting with the hounds and tomorrow we are running with the hares. That is how man is, but God is sovereign and steadfast. His “yes” is yes and His “no” is no. He is a compassionate God and a merciful God. All we have to do, even today, is to call upon Him. Don’t try and make your own plans, seek the Lord and He will take care of everything. It happened in my own life, I don’t know how many times. If it wasn’t for God intervening at the 11th hour, I would have been totally lost. Yes, I have been through some severe testings. There have been times when I said, “Lord, where are you? This is not fair.”  But at the end of the day all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28) Remember that story about that wonderful Zulu preacher, William Duma, he walked very closely with Jesus. He was getting a ride on a bus in the sugar cane fields of KwaZulu-Natal. In the middle of the trip, he felt the Holy Spirit say, “Get off the bus”, so he pulled the emergency cord, and the bus driver screamed to a halt, and he said, “What is wrong?” He was very angry, and the people in the bus didn’t understand. There was no bus stop, there was no town in sight, just sugarcane fields. And this little man, a giant in the faith, said, “I have to get off the bus.” And the bus driver said, “Well, get off the bus.” He took his little suitcase, he stepped off the bus, stood on the side of the road, the bus roared off, dust everywhere, and he stood there and he said, “Lord, well I am here. Why am I here?” Do you know that the bus went around the corner and hit another truck, and if William Duma had been sitting where he was, he would have been crushed to death. God has mercy and compassion on you and me. Today, remember He will not let you down. Jesus bless you and have a lovely day,Goodbye.

2025-11-1003:13

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, the 10th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. The Book of Acts 7:51 - this is Steven speaking just before they stoned him to death.“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.” I want to speak about being stiff-necked. Folks, we must be so careful about that one. To be stiff-necked is to be stubborn, to be rebellious, to be disobedient, refusing to listen, not obeying the word of God. To be rigid and obstinate sounds terrible, doesn’t it? That’s what a stiff-necked person is like.I’ve got a son on the farm here and he specialises in training horses that are a trouble to their riders. They send the horse here for three or four months, and he schools them correctly, and one of the hardest things that he has to deal with is a horse that has got a stiff neck. The horse refuses to bend its neck. Now he has to teach it to bend its neck and basically to humble itself so that it can respond to instructions. I don’t know how much you know about a horse, but I want to tell you that if a horse has got a stiff neck and it starts to gallop away with you, and it gets the bit in its mouth, it is totally out of control. It cannot see where it is going because its head is in the air. It is a danger to itself and to the rider, and by the way to any passersby, any pedestrians. That horse will run over the edge of a cliff, no problem, run through a barbed wire fence. I’ve seen it myself because it refuses to listen. I know people like that, people who have hurt themselves terribly because they refuse to say sorry, they refuse to change, and they refuse to listen. The children of Israel were like that. Our Father God in heaven spoke about them as being a stiff-necked people and it cost them severely.Today, you and I, let us start to become soft, pliable, teachable, people who are pleasant to be around. Those are the people who have lots of friends. Don’t be standing in the corner like that stiff-necked horse that refuses to change. By the way, if it doesn’t change, it has to be put down because it becomes a danger to all those around it. Do not be like that. Today, be a child of God and then God will use you. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 9th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 5:11. This is the former paralysed man speaking: “He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” That man had been paralysed for 38 years. Jesus spoke to him, healed him instantly, a powerful miracle, and then told him to take up his bed and walk. Amazing! I have been to that place. I have prayed for many sick people in that place and they have recovered. It is a beautiful place in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is where the Pool of Bethesda was. Once a year the angel would stir up that pool of water and the first person who was lowered into that water would be healed miraculously. This man had no one to help him into the pool and Jesus said to him, “Take up your bed and walk” and he walked. But you know what is so sad for me is, when the people heard about the miracle and they knew that man, they never glorified God for the miracle. They asked him, “Why are you walking on the Sabbath?” There is a scripture in 2 Corinthians 3:6, and this is what it says: “…for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”We need to be so careful that we don’t become judgemental. When the Spirit of God moves folks, we need to rejoice and give all the glory to Jesus Christ. People need the Lord. Now, as you know, I have recently returned from an incredible evangelistic event, where I saw the poorest of the poor - not only poor, but also fearful, anxious, lost, and forsaken. They were not wearing three-piece suits. No, they were very meagrely dressed. I saw a miracle take place. I saw a hunger for Jesus Christ, like I have very rarely seen in my life. I saw a desire to know Him more. I saw people’s eyes open when they heard the simple Gospel message. Today, be very careful that you do not kill the Spirit of God by being religious. Religion kills the Gospel. It’s the freedom of the Holy Spirit that sets you free! I will never forget that meeting in my life and I will never forget the Pool of Bethesda in the Old City of Jerusalem where we prayed for sick people. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful Sunday.God bless you.
Turn to the Father

Turn to the Father

2025-11-0803:06

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 8th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Book of Exodus 32:1: “Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”Oh, I want to tell you my dear friend, when I read that scripture this morning, my heart broke. What short memories do we have? Here is a man, Moses, being directed by God to take the people of Israel, out of slavery, out of Egypt, to take them to the sea, and the Red Sea opened. They passed through the sea, then the Red Sea closed on top of the most powerful army on earth at the time, and drowned them all. Then he turned water that was so brackish that they couldn’t drink it into sweet drinking water. They tell me it is still there today. He took them through the most savage of all deserts, where it is over 50 degrees. Then they had no food to eat. He fed them manna from Heaven, every single morning, and partridges (quail). He looked after them, and just because he was a bit late in coming down the mountain with the Ten Commandments, they forgot all about Him.Maybe today you are feeling like that. You are feeling “Angus, I have taken care of my family. I grew them up, I paid for their schooling, I paid for their university, I paid for their wedding and now they don’t even phone me.” Or maybe a young person is saying, “My mom, my dad, they don’t want anything to do with me. They said, ‘You are on your own now,’ but I have loved them and been faithful to them all these years.I want to encourage you today to look up and speak to your Heavenly Father. He understands the hurt that you are experiencing right now because it hurt Him as well when His beloved people turned their backs on Him because His servant, Moses, was a couple of days late, and they went straight ahead and made an idol out of gold. How could they do it? How could your son, your daughter, just walk away? How could your mom and dad disown you?Turn to the Father today and speak to Him. He understands. He will listen to you, He will dry away those tears. Have no animosity, no unforgiveness, and move on.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
Change Your Mind

Change Your Mind

2025-11-0703:00

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 7th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day. We go to the Book of Deuteronomy 9:19-20:“But the Lord listened to me at that time also. And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.“ The Lord changed His mind! The Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything in it, listened to His creation and changed His mind! Remember what happened? Moses was up the mountain on Mt Sinai getting the Ten Commandments from the Lord and the Lord said to him, “What’s that noise I hear down there?” And of course what had happened was the children of Israel were impatient. They had been waiting for their leader, Moses, for 40 days and 40 nights and he hadn’t come down, and they thought maybe he had died, so they said to Aaron, “Let us make an idol out of gold, a golden calf.” Now, that angered the Lord so much. Can you imagine? God was so angry, probably so disappointed as well that He was going to wipe off the face of the earth, the children of Israel and you and I would not have been here today if that had happened, but one man, Moses, said, “Lord, You can’t do that because the Egyptians and all the other nations of the world will mock You.” The Bible tells us very clearly that the Lord relented. What does “relent” mean? It means finally agreeing to something after first refusing it. He said, “I am going to blot them off the face of the earth.” Moses said, “You can’t do that Lord,” and the Bible says that God relented. What an incredible God we serve that He would even listen to His creation! When I was farming, I would often stop and have a chat to my tractor driver or my stockman and ask him questions, and we’d have a chat, and he felt that he could talk to me because I was definitely not superior to him, although some farmers maybe won’t listen to their workers. He would explain to me something that he had learnt on another farm - a better way of maybe looking after the cattle, a better way of building fences - and I tell you what, it cost nothing and I would be going in this direction and after talking to this worker, I would change my mind and say, “You know something, your idea is much better and I’m going to do it.” And it worked and it also paid off.Today, don’t be proud. Be prepared to listen and change your mind if you have to. Jesus bless you and have a lovely day,Goodbye.
God is Love

God is Love

2025-11-0604:04

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 6th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to 1 John 4:16: “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love (please remember that - God is love), and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”God is love. People need love desperately, all people, in every walk of life! I am doing this programme particularly today to say thank you to every single person who has been praying for the event that we had in the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa. I would like to thank you all over the world. We love you very, very much. Words cannot express how we appreciated your prayer cover when we went down to that very dangerous place, where very few people want to go, and we saw and experienced something that I have never experienced before in over 40 years of preaching the Gospel. I experienced the love of God like never before! When we arrived in the Athlone Stadium, the first thing I asked for was to meet the intercessors, because as an evangelist I know that if there is no prayer there is no power. They took me into a room that was full of approximately 50 women who were interceding. They weren’t just interceding, they were travailing. Now if you don’t know what that word means - a woman who is having a child, in labour, she is travailing, and that is what they were doing - travailing for their people, for their families, their children, their husbands. I was so touched, I was overwhelmed, and I prayed for them and they prayed for me, and they loved me and they hugged me and kissed me, then they took me out to the stadium. There was such desperation from the men. We were talking to men, it was a Mighty Men event, but I want to tell you, they were hanging on every word. These men are hungry for the love of God. Before I left home, my wife Jill said to me, “Just tell them, Angus, that God loves them.” And that’s all these men wanted to know. Young boys, 12, 13 years old, to older men, they were there in the thousands, and we thank God.The Lord laid on my heart to commission them, like you commission someone into the army, and we called them into the front, we prayed the prayer of repentance, and then we prayed over them andcommissioned them. I said, “The Government can’t help you,” I said, “the army can’t help you,” I said, “the police can’t help you. The only people that can help you are yourselves and the power of the Holy Spirit.”As we left, a young man ran up to me. I said, “Bring him.” I said, ‘What can I do for you, young man?” He said, “I just want a hug from you. I lost my dad, he died, I lost my grandfather a few days ago. You remind me of my grandfather.” And with that he said, “I just want a hug.” That’s all he wanted. I took him in my arms, we hugged each other, he wept, I wept and God did the rest.I am believing for revival in the Cape Flats. Thank you for your love and your prayers.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
Go To The Word

Go To The Word

2025-11-0503:17

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 5th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 17:17:”Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.” Then we go straight to John 4:42:”Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”Remember what happened? After Jesus had told the woman at the well her whole life story, she knew that He was a prophet indeed, and she ran into the village and told them, ”I’ve found the Master. I found the Messiah.” She told them that He has just told her her whole life story and she’s never seen Him before. Isn’t that amazing? Then the whole village was saved and they came out to meet Jesus at the well, and that is when they said, ”We don’t believe that He is the Christ because of your story. No, we believe He is the Christ, not because of your words but because we have heard it for ourselves.”I want to tell you today, and I’m saying this with the greatest love, that the Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate authority. Now, He is the Word. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. (John 1:1) People are not interested in our opinions, they want to know what Jesus says about the matter. That’s why when you go to a high court and you have to give evidence, they make you put your hand on the Bible and they ask you to swear that you’ll tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God. Why? Because God’s Word is final. It is the ultimate answer.I want to speak to families who are experiencing disputes within their family. You want to know about inheritance; you want to know who’s going to get the business; who is going to get the farm when dad dies, or maybe dad has died, or what’s going to happen with the children when they leave school? You need to go to the Bible. You need to go to the Word and see what the Lord Jesus says about the situation. You say, ”No, but times have changed now.” No, they haven’t. Nothing has changed. Go to the Word, hear what God says and apply it to your family, to your situation, your workplace, wherever it might be, and you’ll be surprised how things will be agreed to, not because of what you said, not because of what I said, but because of what the Word says. Jesus bless you and have a lovely day,Goodbye.
Our Food

Our Food

2025-11-0402:54

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 4th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 4:34: “Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”We want to speak about food. What is your favourite food? Well, being a cattle farmer, my favourite food has got to be steak! I know that I have one young man who is very dear to me, and his favourite food is vegetables because he is a vegan. So we have got a lot of things to talk about. He respects what I love and I respect what he loves. But you know, we are not talking about that kind of food, are we? No. We are talking about doing the will of the Father. That is what fills us up more than any physical food. I love to carry a pocketful of sweets. That’s right. I can hear mothers say, “That is not good for the children.” Well, mom, a little sweet is not going to hurt them, and when I go to church these little children come and stand around me and I know why they are there, because they know I have a sweetie for them. Visitors must think, “Aah, look at the way the children flock to Uncle Angus - oh, it must be because he is a holy man.” No, it’s because children love sweets! But folks, I want to tell you now, it’s so important to do the thing that God has told you to do. Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of Him (His Heavenly Father who sent Him)…” And not only that, but to finish the job.I don’t know about you, but when I have had the chance to speak to somebody who is struggling, someone who just needs prayer, or a young person who needs godly counsel, that is the food that sustains me. After I have been to a meeting where I have been able to pray for someone in hospital, where I have been able to preach the Gospel to a crowd of people and see the response, that fills me more than any physical food. Today, go out and do the will of Jesus Christ and love people, and I want to tell you, you will be filled to the brim, pressed down, shaken together and running over.Jesus bless you today, as you eat the food that the Father is going to give you.God bless you and goodbye.
Be Holy

Be Holy

2025-11-0303:13

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, the 3rd of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. If you listen very carefully, you can hear the rain on my tin roof. Oh, it’s like music from heaven, I tell you what! We start in the Book of Leviticus 11:44: ”…and you shall be holy; for I am holy.”That’s the Lord speaking. We go to 1 Peter 1:16: ”because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”  You and I serve a holy God. Holiness is so important in our lifestyle, the way in which we love our Lord and Saviour, and people can see it from far. Oh, I want to tell you, they are watching you and they are watching me. The way in which we behave towards our beloved Jesus. If we love Him, we must respect Him, we must honour Him and we must give Him first place in our lives always. Do you know that the scribes in the Bible would change their clothes and wash their bodies before they even wrote the name of Jehovah on a parchment? Isn’t that amazing? When an Orthodox Jew writes me a letter and he signs the letter at the bottom and says, “God bless you”, he spells God, G-D, He will not even write the name of God.I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more pleasing to the eye than to see the way in which a young man or a young woman respects their elders. I love it. I love to see a young man walk an old lady across the road when she’s waiting for the traffic lights to change. I love to see the way in which a young man will take an old man’s rucksack and put it on his back and carry it for him with out even being asked, but I also want to say to you, there’s nothing more hurtful for me and I’m sure for you, than to see young people pushing old people aside so they can be first in the queue. It’s very disrespectful. When you go to the house of the Lord, remember you are going to honour God and one day you are going to see Him, face to face. It is going to be a glorious day. I know what’s going to happen. He will run to you and love and hug you, but never forget that He is a holy God who deserves our love and utmost respect at all times.God bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.
