What time is it? How close are we? Are you ready? Is Jesus really coming back? What is the sign of His coming and of the end of the age?   These are all fair questions as we race toward the Judgment. Jesus listed some of the preliminary signs, wars, famines, plagues, and P(I)andemics, and deception, apathy, offenses, vile affections, etc. They are all here, surrounding us on every hand. But what of it?   The scariest part of not recognizing what time it is, is to wake up in the middle of the fire and not know what happened or what to do. Paul sheds light on the last days scenario by giving us an outline of the events just prior to the revealing of the son of perdition, the Anti-Christ.    How do we think that, somehow, we will be exempt from these global events? Everyone living on the earth in those days will be part of this dramatic return of Jesus Christ. It will either be the happiest day of your life or the day, as Job said of his calamity, that he wished he had never been born.    Let us not be deceived, that we should believe a strong delusion, so strong that those who are being deceived are completely blind to that deception. Many are coming into the Kingdom of God every day. When God's children forgot who they were and where they had come from, they indulged in their "flesh" and "grew fat." (Deut. 32:15)   They had become complacent and had started worshipping other gods and attributed their prosperity to the demons they worshipped as gods. Jeremiah warned them about offering cakes to the "queen of Heaven" to whom they had attributed their success.   Paul traces the progression of their degeneration in Romans 1:16 to rejection of their identity by rejecting the God who created them. Paul told Timothy that perilous times would come. Men would be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, brutal, haughty, etc. So how are we to handle these kinds of impostors, and dangerous men?   Know the right doctrine, continue in the things Jesus told us, recognizing there would persecution. Fair implies the idea of justice. We all intrinsically desire justice, but making things fair does not always promote justice.   Look at the devil's definition of fair, we call it an eye for an eye. So, according to that principle, if someone pokes out my eye, I am justified in poking out their eye, BUT how does that promote the Law of Love Jesus taught us?   But closer examination of those two words reveals that making things fair does not always make things right.    In this volatile and demonically charged environment where the devil is working to stir up hatred, offense, and division among the people, it is important for us to know how to deal with blatant injustice and the two justice systems we are caught in, trying to resolve conflict resolution in addressing grievances.    How are we to handle this avalanche of deliberate evil and offense? To solve for the problem of injustice in the world, we must put the devil in the equation. But where is justice? Safety? Truth? Who is powerful enough to bring this senseless destruction to an end? We form opinions about God based on our experiences. If our experiences are manipulated by our circumstances, which are controlled by the devil, we will lose all hope of there ever being justice and the restoration of righteousness. Justice will come because God will come to establish His Throne. Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of His throne. (Ps. 89:14) So, don't cast your vote too early in judging God or in trying to figure out what is going on down here. Just make sure you are in Him. Let the fear of the Lord lead you into His love because it is the longsufferingness of God that melts our hard hearts and leads us to repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Justice is coming!!! If God is so good, then why ___? (fill in the blank) No subject raises more confusion and contains the seeds for more discouragement in our relationship with God than this question. We could rehearse all the standard complaints against God, but do we really understand the constraints God is under in His dealings with us? He has given us a free will and we are allowed to exercise it, either to our benefit or for our detriment. If we believe Satan's lies that challenge God's goodness and do not know our true identity, we have already been captured by the Enemy of our souls. God is here to reveal His goodness and deliver us from evil. So many times, we are looking at what things look like in the moment and do not consider the long-term outcomes of our suffering. If King David, John the Baptist, Joseph, the Prince of Egypt, Paul the Apostle, and countless other people whose sufferings are described in the Bible would have judged God as not good, or looked at the trouble they were in, they would have lost heart.  But Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you and to bring us out into a place of peace and victory. This is only possible when we know the truth about the character of God and the context of the Snake Pit we live in. God is good because God can't not be Good! He is for us. 2025 has been a hard year for many, filled with sadness, disappointment, the loss of a dear family member, suffering from  physical health issues or a severe setback and injustice.   What does the Lord have to say about hope in the midst of these hard things? Ps. 66:8-12 describes a prayer of declaration in the midst of harsh trials and a promise of blessing.   "Oh, bless our God, you peoples! " (Is. 67:1)   This is our prayer and declaration for 2026 - that God will secure us in His care and blessing and bring us into rich fulfillment. Rescue Radio presents "God on Trial — Opening Arguments," an immersive audio drama that stages a heavenly courtroom where Satan prosecutes God and biblical witnesses defend divine justice. Today, we are doing something a little different. We are sharing the backstory of Opening Arguments - God on Trial, an audio drama that tells the story of the war between God and Satan for the souls of men.   This is a fascinating journey that spans over 20 years from start to finish. Several major publishing houses rejected the original manuscript for being written as a script. They said it presented the material in an unpopular format, though Pilgrim's Progress, the second most-read Christian book in the world, had used the same format.    That setback only opened the door, because God was in it. "In the fullness of time," (Gal. 4:4) is how the Bible explains the 4000-year-long span from the promise made to Eve and Adam in Genesis 3:15 to that chilly night the Angels sang "Glory to God in the Highest," in Bethlehem.    What took so long? To answer that question, we must go back to before the beginning, where the story really began, with the rebellion of Lucifer. We must follow the conflict between God and the Serpent, now turned Dragon, who was bent on devouring God's kingdom.   This fight began before we were created and only intensified when God decided to make us in His image. Having an attitude of gratitude and rejoicing fills our souls with hope and joy and changes our disposition to one of positivity. The bible encourages us to think on things that are lovely and of good report. (Phil. 4:8)   We are constantly surrounded by evil reports that breed fear and anxiety. Being thankful is a discipline that shifts our meditations onto things that not only create a healthier environment for those around us,  but also provides a powerful defense against things like anxiety and discouragement that try to overtake us.    We think we have to be happy to be thankful, when in fact, it is being thankful (in whatever state we find ourselves in) that makes us happy.   "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Jesus warned us not to judge according to appearances, but to judge with righteous judgment. Nothing is as it appears. Jesus taught us to be purposeful in our living. Part of that purpose is to live with the end in mind. For the believer, there is nothing, no argument or justification that can be made for participating in Halloween! Many would like to believe it is just a night of family fun, parties and innocent pretending and magic where ghosts and children roam through the night, dressing up in costumes and canvassing the streets for candy. Nothing could be farther from the truth.    Halloween springs out of superstition and intimidation, lies, fear and curses. The origins of the festival called Samhain, marked the end of summer and the beginning of the dark, cold days of winter for the Celtics. It was believed that on this night the lines between the living and the dead were blurred and ghosts of dead loved ones would appear.   The Druids were the pagan priests who promoted  those beliefs and their own interests by threatening the peasants into giving them a treat, (their winter food) or they would put curses on them. Hence, we have, the traditions of "Trick or Treat," which have gone through a demonic make-over, to look like a fun family night.   Participation in this very obviously pagan holiday dedicated to the Devil and darkness is dangerous. Any agreement we make with the devil, through our words or participation is an abomination and an affront to the Holiness of God and gives the Evil One access to our lives and the lives of our children.    Why does God warn us do strongly not to partake with the demons? Because He loves us and He knows that the Devil is setting his snare to catch us to devour us. Your solution: confess your disobedience, and repent. Jesus Himself admonishes us to be ready. "Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." (Lu. 12:14). The urgency of His coming has been lost in the midst of more pressing and urgent things that beset us. Massive deception, constant distractions, relationship breakdowns, the shaking of the nations, the cares of life, anxiety, failing health, and time speeding up.    We have become consumed with eating and drinking and marrying and divorcing, and false teachers and lawlessness. Scoffers and those crying wolf have desensitized the masses from even thinking about Jesus coming back. But what is more relevant than the coming of the Lord? Jesus calls us to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him. Jesus said he who desires to save his life will lose it and whoever loses his life for My sake will keep it.    The faithful and wise servant is the one his master will find doing when he comes back. What will He find us doing when He returns to upset and destroy this world we were so deeply attached to? The Word of God seems to be full of contradictions. Jesus is called the Prince of Peace, yet He warns that He has come to send division, setting two against three in families and war in the place of peace. And what about rejecting the concept of man fear, as Paul declares in Galatians 1:10   "Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Then He says, "For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all that I might win the more;" I Cor. 9:19    How do these seeming contradictions work themselves out into one truth?  We must understand that the Word of God is complete and does not contradict itself any more than God contradicts Himself.  Truth is like a coin. The coin has two sides, heads and tails. Neither one is complete without the other.   Both are true, as determined by the time and the context of the issue, as is often acknowledged in the use of a coin to determine and settle a matter. Why? Because both sides are considered of equal value.    Only God has the wisdom to live peacefully within the context of His own determinations.
