Kings hung tough for a lot of game, and that's about all you can ask for nowadays from this team. They say it's a make or miss league. At the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters, the Kings missed a few makeable shots while the Spurs hit theirs. The Kings losing streak has extended to 12, yet the vibes aren't as bad as you might think.As the deadline has passed, it is clear that the Kings have shifted their #1 priority to the development of the rookies and young guys on the team. It was a weird vibe in the G1C, there was an air of uneasiness. Perhaps it's the looming trade deadline that everyone in the building knows is coming. Well here we are again, another 8 game losing streak this season.On Thursday in Philly the Kings played a hard fought game and ended up losing on a final shot by Tyrese Maxey. The next night in Boston they simply didn't have any juice left to hang with the Celtics as they get blown out.While the Kings have looked good in stretches on this road trip, it's still a loss in the win-loss column. The Kings played well for 3 and half quarters. They played good defense, forced the Knicks into a lot of silly turnovers, and Demar was carrying the Kings on offense. But the floor fell out from under them in the final 4 minutes as the Knicks go on a run to win the game going away.Under the surface of this loss is also a game within a game regarding the King's offense. The game started out 16-2 for the Cavs and the Kings looked absolutely cooked. It's a struggle the Kings have dealt with the entire season, when they're not getting stops and subsequent transition buckets, their half court offense isn't reliable enough to keep up with most teams in the league.And that's the main issue the Kings have faced in their 3rd loss in a row, their half court offense is slow, unimaginative and oh so stagnant. All good things come to an end, the Kings had a great 4 game winning streak but that was ended by the Blazers tonight.The stifling Blazer defense slowed the Kings down and the Kings offense was clunky for stretches, letting the Blazers build a big lead that they never lost.It was good while it lasted but this loss shows the Kings still have a lot of issues to address. Maybe this win streak also showed them something they can build off of as well. The Kings extend their winning streak to their longest of the season at 3 games after beating the Knicks in this long homestand.The Kings played terrific defense and the Knicks shot horrifically from the outside and weren't much better inside. On the offensive end they moved the ball and played with an extra physicality.
