we are all bound without boundaries. that's why it is so important to set them in place and free yourself. lighten your mental load. trust me, you will feel a million times better when you do. easier said than done though. how do you exactly set boundaries. especially with your auties, your MIL, your own mom, your husband and even yourself? we grew up in a culture that doesn't appreciate boundaries. so, we never grew up learning about them. well, I got good news for you. it's never too late to learn and it starts with this episode. 😁 chatting with lovely, Israa today. How Wealthy Are You?

How Wealthy Are You?

2020-08-2003:05

"Remember that there are many forms of wealth, financial wealth being only one of them. One who has rich relationships and a loving community around her is, in my mind, wealthy. One who has a life of excellent health, adventure, excitement and continuous learning has wealth of a different sort. And one who is deeply at peace and aware of the truth must certainly be considered to be one who has accumulated yet another form of riches. The crowd - our tribe called Society- has taught us that economic wealth is the only type of wealth we should chase. Not true" - Robin Sharma from the book 'Daily Inspiration - from The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari' @robinsharma Today's post was inspired by this quote from a book I read daily and introspect. So, How wealthy are you?
How does one navigate through the complexities of culture intertwined with the challenges of infertility. An anonymous story takes us through the journey of a couple who discover their infertility and the barriers they face in the name of misogyny and gender biases. Y'all choosing science is not an option for some but a must. Nevertheless, it sucks every ounce of your mental, physical, and emotional energy out of you. Can you imagine adding a cultural layer to all of this? oh...the things they hear from their families and the society!  Submit your story anonymously. instabio.cc/mamashighonchai  Connect with me on Instagram @mamashighonchai
well-behaved indian women, a debut novel by Saumya Dave, is a fictional tale of mother-daughter relationships across three generations. It is a one of a kind story that beautifully portrays the complexities and intricacies of womanhood and motherhood in the Indian culture. Since its release in July 2020, the book has been flying off the shelves and has had remarkable reviews.  We meet with Saumya for some chai and learn more about her journey as an author in creating this contemporary piece of art. Saumya talks about how each of the main characters came to life through her writing process and how some parts of the characters that she explored in her book may have come from her own personal experiences. We delve into what it really takes to become an author, who is a woman of colour, in today's modern world. Connect with us on Instagram @mamashighonchai and @saumyajdave
