Anything Goes With Greg & Alex

This week we give our full review on Scream 7. This episode has FULL SPOILERS on just about every scream film, including a complete Scream 7 review. If you know anything about Alex, it’s that she’s ghostface obsessed. So she came with notes this episode for the first time ever. This week we recap our experience attending the 4th year of the I Heart Horror convention in Sayreville, NJ. There was so much to see and do from people in the horror film industry, to bakers and authors. Our entire family had so much fun and we didn’t want it to end. Especially our daughters, who made us go back in at the end to say goodbye to all of the cosplayers! We saw some old friends and made new ones and cannot wait to see what’s in store for their 5th year anniversary!

Happy Friday the 13th!… oh and also Valentine’s Day. This week we finally go through with our rom-com episode that we’ve been mentioning for years. We start out the episode talking a bit about the passing of Brad Arnold from 3 Doors Down. It definitely hit us hard. We go on to talk about a bunch of rom-com movies that we have seen over the years and we give our thoughts on them. Greg throws out some famous lines and sees if Alex can guess the movie it’s from. You’ll be surprised who is more of a rom-com fan!

Happy Super Bowl! This week we talk all things Super Bowl and football in general. From some memorable Super Bowls and even a parade we decided to go to years ago. Greg brings his Super Bowl facts, like which teams have never made it and the record number of sacks in a Super Bowl game. We even talk about how the big game was named “Super Bowl”. Now go get your wings and pizza and see if you know some of the football facts that we have for you! 

This week we talk about a few random topics. From Bill Belichick not being a first-ballot Hall of Famer, to the reason Led Zeppelin broke up. Greg also introduces a new segment that he calls “Save it for the Podcast Bro…Let’s Fight”, where Greg and Alex throw some punches and let the other know things that have annoyed them recently (about each other!). Also, does anyone really read e-documents or are you like us and just speed scroll to the bottom to click agree and sign? This is definitely a random one for sure! 

This week we dive right into the blizzard and talk about growing up on the east coast and all of the snow storms that came with our childhood. From the blizzard of 1996, to the blizzard that’s about to hit us this weekend and how our kids are just as excited as we used to be when we were their age. We talk about the coolest igloos built and a handmade snow slide and also about how shoveling snow was one of our first money makers. Give this one a listen as you unleash your inner Elsa and spend your weekend sledding and building a snowman!

This week we have a few random things to talk about. From some sports news (this was hours BEFORE Kyle Tucker signed with the dodgers) like NFL playoffs and the Knicks record, to Challenge talk, to what we would choose as our final meal if we were on death row for some reason. This episode is the definition of “random” but we had a lot of fun during it.

This week brings a new year and a new topic episode to the podcast!We go through a list of Idioms and Metaphors and talk about what exactly they mean and if we love them or hate them. Some are great and some make us cringe whenever we hear them. Make sure you grab your bingo cards and look out for flying pigs as you give this one a listen to see how far the apple really fell from the tree and which one of us are really a wolf in sheep’s clothes!

Happy New Year! In our first episode of the New Year, we talk about all the things that we have coming up in 2026. From a couple of trips that will have us traveling a few places (some new!), to some different episodes that we have planned. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us and how many new experiences we will have. No matter where this next year brings us, we will have plenty of fun stuff to talk about over the next 52 weeks!

Happy New Year! This week we wrap up 2025 by talking about episodes we have had over this past year. From our busy haunt season episodes, to all of the concerts that we attended, to being on the phone during a possible arrest, we definitely had some great moments! We experienced some great things and made some amazing new friends along the way. So join us as 2025 comes to an end, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us!

This week we catch up on some small talk and then sit down with some of the coolest kids on the planet, our niece, nephews and of course our two daughters! We talk all about our Thanksgiving sleepover and a very intense game of Simon says. We even had each kid give us one of their best jokes and a story from school (like our oldest nephew somehow losing a shoe in school). We can’t say enough how much we love this group of kids… even when they try to troll and prank their Uncle Greg!!! You all have to be the judges on who does Greg’s intro better, Greg or the kids! 

This week we continue our holiday celebration at Christmas House in Freehold, NJ. This one of a kind experience is perfect for the entire family and has so much to see. From Santa at the beach to a christmas carnival where you can win real prizes! There are so many photo ops everywhere you look and sometimes you don’t know where to look first! It is perfect for these cold winter days and nights since it is all indoors. Our girls had the best time which you can clearly hear from them personally in this episode. We can’t forget to mention our new friend Peter! One of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. And Don’t forget to try to spot all the Christmas movie Easter eggs in one of the very nostalgic rooms (Alex’s favorite!). 

This week we talk about how we celebrated Alex’s birthday! We had a good meal and then headed over to Winter Wonderlights in East Brunswick, NJ. This amazing holiday lights drive-thru has become a yearly tradition for our family. It is a must do each holiday season and each year gets better and better. This year they have added so many new things to see we didn’t know which way to look! Our twin 4 year old girls even join us to let everyone know their thoughts! We really can not recommend this holiday drive-thru enough! 

Happy Birthday Alex!!! Today we talk about one of the best weekends we’ve had in a long time. We had concerts 3 nights in a row, each in a different state! Two back to back nights of Story of the Year and Senses Fail and then ending the weekend on Hawthorne Heights and Chiodos. Saturday night became a dream for Alex as she got to meet all 4 members of her favorite band of all time, and also a dream for Greg as he met his new favorite person in the world, Bobby Jaycox! Although we are now in a serious post concert depression… it was so worth it from how amazing these shows were. We can’t wait for the next set of shows to come around!

Happy Thanksgiving! Today we are super thankful for everything great we have in our lives. We talk all about a great Christmas experience we had over at Black River & Western Railroad. We went over to Flemington NJ and hopped on the Santa Express! This 2 hour experience was filled with so much Christmas fun. From Santa giving a jingle bell souvenir to enjoying some cookies and hot chocolate as you wait to take pictures with Santa. It was a great way to start the holiday season. There’s a reason it’s called the Jolliest Ride of the Season!

This week we say goodbye to Halloween and hello to the Holidays. We give a little insight into some of the things we have coming up and what our expectations are for them. From our favorite holiday drive-thru light display, one of the best holiday walk throughs and a train ride with Santa, cookies and hot chocolate. We also mention how this weekend we have concerts Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and how we are super excited for those as well! Come get  excited for the holidays with us (well… with Alex since Greg is a grinch)!

This week we give a wrap up to an amazing Halloween season. Starting off with a mini interview with our twin girls about what they thought of the first ever legit haunted house walk through they did while we were over at Brookdale haunted theater celebrating Addy’s birthday! We then reminisce about all the other haunts and Halloween places we visited this season. Even with all we did, the Halloween season never seems long enough! 

This week we talk all about our trip to Halloween House in Freehold, NJ. This has become a yearly tradition for our family and each year it really does get better and better. It’s the perfect creepy, yet not scary, walk through with no scare actors. Perfect for the entire family! With amazing photo ops and such interactive scenes, this is definitely one to put on your must do list. Even though Halloween season has come and passed, you (kind of) don’t need to wait until next year to experience it because it transitions over to Christmas House! 

Happy Halloween!! This week we talk about Halloween and how we celebrate it. From when we were kids, all the way to this year’s plans. We talk about how we mapped out our trick or treating and how it helps us give our girls the best Halloween experience as they grow up. It’s safe to say that this is our favorite holiday, so it being here is bitter sweet. Now let the countdown to next year begin!
