Rigid rules

Rigid rules

The podcast features Mat Pierce who has gone into treatment and discusses his experience with the rules and regulations. I was hoping to move up to phase two, which would allow me to have my headphones and phone in between group sessions. However, I was told that the staff and community would have to approve my request, which frustrated me. I express my frustration with the rigid rules of the treatment center and how it hinders my recovery at times. I feel like I am not being heard or supported and am worried that my negative thoughts might cause me to be kicked out of the program.

Introduction:Hello, and welcome back to our podcast. Today, we will be discussing some topics that we hope will resonate with many of our listeners. We'll be exploring the need for testing relationships, adjusting to a new treatment center, and the challenges of reuniting with family members after an extended period living apart. We'll be discussing why we might feel the need to test relationships and how we can overcome this behavior.Moving to a new treatment center or therapy program can be a challenging experience, especially when it comes to adapting to new rules and routines. It can be challenging to let go of familiar ways of doing things and embracing a new way of living. We'll be sharing some tips on how you can adjust to a new treatment center or therapy program while maintaining a positive attitude and mindset.During the pandemic, many families were separated and forced to live apart for extended periods. Today we discuss our trip across the country as we head to our new treatment center in Utah, to continue our journey, to a healthy relationship with food. We discuss the definite need for two ply in gas station bathrooms, as well as topics coming up on future episodes.
Today I had a surgery that, honestly, I did not think I was coming out of. I went to sleep full of doubt and fear, and woke up with a fire and determination to prove all the doubters, doctors, treatment centers, and everyone that said I was too big to help wrong. The plan moving forward is to prove them all wrong every day, to show them that I do have worth, and that I am deserving of life, no matter what the fuck they think.
