The NTSB published a preliminary report on Mark Scott’s fatal accident. Though we weren’t able to physically attend his funeral, we attended via a live feed on the Internet. This weekend on Saturday May 30th, 2020, the club will be hosting it’s first online meeting for everyone to benefit from. The following day, Capt Martin Scott will be featured on our weekly IG live interview. On Monday June 1st, 2020, the ACOJ will publish the prerequisites for the Jeffrey Meeks and Christopher Read Honorary Scholarship Program.
There are many careers in aviation. The industry evolves around the airplane and flight of the airplane. These careers supports the development, operation and safe transitioning of the airplane. In this episode, we will highlight some of these careers, the educational requirements, some of the schools you can attend as well as the likely employers to hire you.

Have you heard about the ACOJ Scholarship fund initiated to assist club members in being able to pursue a career goal and also that it’s created in honor of two persons who’ve contributed greatly to our Industry and its Professionals.
We recently received an interesting question via our Instagram page asking “Why does the Jamaican Government lack interest in the development of aviation in Jamaica?”. We found it to be an interesting question and decided to have an open discussion on the topic.
As aviation enthusiasts, there are several things we can do while at home to continue learning, continue socializing and engaging in activities. In this episode we will discuss what some of those are.
Open discussion with guest host Oneil Dowe on the effects that COVID-19 has had on various industries around the world including the aviation industry. We took a closer look at what it’s doing to Jamaica’s aviation industry as well as within the region. In addition, we shared our thoughts on what enthusiasts can do at home to stay active and what we are looking to do to make the situation a little easier to deal with.
