Five tips to pray like Jabez.
1. Praise God for who He is.
2. Ask God to give you a heart for evangelism.
3. Acknowledge God's power and reign.
4. Pray for God to guard our hearts for His protection from every evil.
5. Pray for everything in Jesus' name.
“Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!’ And God granted what he asked” (1 Chronicles 4:10)
“…the clans of scribes who lived at Jabez:” (1 Chronicles 2:55)
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit” (Jude 1:20)
Jabez prayed for four things:
1. That God would bless him
2. That God would enlarge his territory
3. That God’s hand might be with him
4. That God would keep him from evil
"The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone" is a phrase from the Bible that appears in multiple passages, including Matthew 21:42, Mark 12, Luke 20, Acts 4, and 1 Peter 2:7.
