Straight Outta Gotham

Well it took longer than we thought but episode 150 is here, and Pete and Eric welcome 3 fans to the show to help them breakdown the geekly news!

Eric has returned from his trip overseas so the guys are back to bring you the latest goings on in the fandom world!  Cinema-Con revealed some new information about Deadpool and Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts!  Also, a first look at Transformers One and the Transformers/G.I. Joe live action crossover is a go!  Jonathan Nolan goes in depth on his brother and the making of the Dark Knight Trilogy, RDJ open to returning to as Iron Man, and a live action adaptation of TMNT: The Last Ronin is in the works!   All of this plus castings, news on Fantastic Four, and the guys breakdown the Joker 2 trailer and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire!

Superman, Supergirl, and MORE Superman are the theme of this show as the guys give you the latest on James Gunn's Superman, season 4 of Superman and Lois, and Supergirl welcoming... Supergirl.  Also, Chris Evans says the superhero movie genre deserves more credit, Paul Dano says superhero movies should be less "super", and Dakota Johnson vows to never do a superhero movie ever again! Plus, Blum wants to bring Jason back, Dopinder on Deadpool 3, and the guys give their long awaited feelings on Echo. 

The guys are (finally) joined by "Who Wants to be A Podcaster?" contest winner Andrew Jaicks as they give a full spoiler review of Dune 2.  Plus, Superman flies again as James Gunn's movie gets a title on the Man of Steel's Birthday, Venom 3 is done filming, and have we seen the end of Carol Daenvers in the MCU?   Also, Pete talks about seeing Batman '89 in concert!

Super Bowl LVIII is here and the guys welcome BOF Editor in Chief and HS Football coach Bill "Jett" Ramey to help them breakdown the big game and share what he will be cooking up for the festivities!   Of course, the normal weekly fandom fare as served as they discuss James Gunn speaking on the state of the DCU and his brother giving a little insight as to when Creature Commandos will be released.  They have also cast a new Supergirl as Milly Alcock is named as Kara Zor-El.  Plus, Matthew Vaughn gives his thoughts on Deadpool 3, the Christopher Nolan/Cillian Murphy connection, Robert Downey Jr, and we finally know why Adam West chose to don the cape and cowl for the 1960's Batman TV series!

Pete and Eric welcome Green Bay Packers fan Kris Burke from SB Nation's Acme Packing Club and Batman-On-Film as they discuss Championship Sunday, the NFL, and of course, the current topics gripping the fandom world.    

Episode 140 has arrived and the guys discuss a lil of everything!  NFL Playoffs, Superman Legacy, Batman and Superman in Public Domain, and Daredevil Born Again going back to formula and bringing some old friends with them. Plus, Madame Web herself Dakota Johnson speaks as does Lois Lane herself Rachel Brosnahan.   Alien prequel series director Noah Hawley talks practical effects, and Alex Winter gives insight on Bill and Ted 4! The guys discuss their video game playing past and give updates on some film release dates in Episode 139 of SOG.  Plus, Momoa teases Lobo, Lundgren talks Aquaman 2,  Gunn gives insight on Creature Commandos, and after saying he wasn't gonna talk about it anymore, David Ayer talks his cut of Suicide Squad.     Also the guys discuss the trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and give their NFL picks!

It's a new year and a new episode of your favorite fandom/pop culture podcast!  Mickey and Minnie Mouse have entered public domain and the first project for Steamboat Willie is... a horror movie??   The guys discuss this plus more on public domain, Marvel's What If going through changes, Echo's Kingpin to be a bigger deal in the MCU, and the state of CBM's after a 2023 that saw them underperform across the board.   In addition, David Ayer is done asking for the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, Alien as a children's book, and Eric gives a couple of non-CBM movie reviews!

As 2023 comes to a close, Pete and Eric review all the CBM entries from the year and preview what's coming from DC in 2024.  Also, will WB-Discovery buy Paramount? End 2023 with the guys and take a listen!
