Overcoming the concern of candor - we need more candid conversations 2. Overcoming distraction culture 3. Ending Apathy - indifference hurts us more than it hurts others 4. Personal development is an essential tool for everyone and this is especially true for millennials.  We're at a fantastic age where we know a lot but we also have to keep up with learning so many new things.   The idea of constantly having to learn or improve yourself may seem daunting but in this episode, I'm sharing 3 super easy, super affordable ways for personal development, they are. 1. By reading a book - self-improvement really doesn't get easier than this.  By making time to read as little as 10 minutes a day you can change the way your brain functions.  2. Join a social / networking group  - I joined Toastmasters International in 2019 to help improve my speaking skills for this podcast.  It has been amazing with helping me prepare speeches and meeting some new cool people.  As millennials, I believe we are just the right age to try new things   3. Practice gratitude and forgiveness - this tip may seem a little unorthodox but it's so effective.  Gratitude has an amazing capacity to transform any situation for the better.  So being grateful for your life is an instant upgrade.   As for forgiveness, well at our age there are many reasons to be upset at others and ourselves, learning how to forgive improves our relationships and enhances opportunities for growth and development.  Win-win. Have you ever heard of the term decision fatigue?   If not, let me catch you up. As the name suggests, decision fatigue basically means that the more choices we have to make, the less likely we will make good ones (sounds like some guys I know lol).   Anyways, this is a mind-boggling phenomenon where a person's capacity to make good decisions diminishes as the number of decisions they have to make increases.     Research shows that as millennials, we have far more decisions to make than our parents did at our age simply because of the number of options we have.  From simple decisions like the kind of shoes to buy to more substantial ones like deciding where and when to buy a home, we are bombarded with choices.  And the more choices we have, the more decisions we get to make, which can be EXHAUSTING! But do not fear, this episode will help you figure it all out. I love you so much for listening.  Be sure to like the episode and subscribe so you never miss new ones. Big girls don't cry! (neither do big boys) but have you ever received crushing feedback at work and had to decide between a shouting match (maybe a bonus slapdown lol) or running to the bathroom and hiding out for the remainder of the day?  We've all been there, the boss with a temper, the pushy coworker, the teacher, or your aunty that believes they know more about raising your kids than you do and makes it their job to tell you.  While there are some things that you'd never shake your beliefs on,  these tips would help you navigate negative feedback without having to convince naysayers or engage people who are just always up for an argument.  Thank you for listening  Keep up with me, follow me on instgram: @fiveyearstoforty

I once read that conflict is inevitable but combat is optional.  The truth is, our reaction to conflict can be the difference between having relationships, careers, and health that is failed and miserable or thriving and beautiful  As we get older we recognize that resolving conflict is less about being right or being the winner in an argument, it's more about understanding other people and their point of view.  It's also about letting go of our need to be right.    In this episode, we talk about 3 tips that are easy to use when we want to move past conflict in our relationships and continue living that fascinating fabulous life we are always talking about.  If you want to learn more about letting go of the need to be right, check out this episode.  Keep doing the most guys
