Welcome to Unbelievable Animals, the podcast where we tell you facts and stories about animals that are so amazing, you’ll wonder if they’re really true.
My name is Hubert Hiemstra, but my cohosts call me Dad. In each episode my boys, Victor,Eric, and Alfie, will tell us an unbelievable animal fact or story, and I’ll try to find out whether it’s true, and see what other mind blowing facts we can dig up about that animal.

It's been almost 3 years since our last episode, but we're back! Except we're back with a new co-host. Victor and Eric and too old and too cool to do podcasts with their dad, but now their younger brother Alfie is full of unbelievable animal facts. In his first episode he wants us the believe that weaver ants use their larvae to glue leaves together to build their nests. We figure out if this is true, and what other cool facts we can find out about ants.
Eric must have a problem with his eyes, because he thinks that flamingos are actually white! Join us to hear why he thinks this is true and to learn some more unbelievable things about these amazing birds.
We all know that octopuses are very strange and very unusual animals, but this fact from Victor takes it to the next level. Is it true that these eight-legged aliens will snack on themselves if they need to?
The boys’ mom has a fact/question for us: she’s heard that aye-ayes pee on their own hands to make their hands more sticky. Yuck! Before we answer that disgusting question, we first have to find out what exactly an aye-aye even is, and what other cool facts we can find about these unbelievable animals.
