“When they say to you, ‘Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers’… should not a people inquire of their God?” In the dark days of Ahaz, Judah turns to superstition and political schemes instead of trusting the Lord. The result is gloom, fear, and thick darkness. "His name is John." With this written declaration, Zechariah’s silence ends and his speech is restored.
