This episode was assigned to me by Spirit a few nights after returning from Sharm and the first Hold Us Sacred Retreat. It is a tribute to MarleyAyo, and eulogy of sorts, that I believe Oya, compelled me to record and rewatch to aid me in my own grieving process, and to give me full permission and power to rebuild MarleyAyo from my deepest desires and knowing.  I also believe I was called to record this episode to liberate anyone struggling in their decolonized entrepreneurship journey. One breath at a time, one intention at a time. We are building a new world. Let's be gentle. If you are new to Shaping The Shift Podcast, Welcome! We have many delicious episodes for you to binge and would love to earn your positive reviews, shares, and listenership. This episode is also available (imperfections and all!) on YOUTUBE, which gives it another level of life. Thank you for tuning in, subscribing, and becoming a part of our shiftshaping community! The first thing you will fall in love with in this episode is the voice of Rene Marie. Our intuitive and exquisite sister from Trinidad brings sacred wisdom with clarity and compassion in this lovely conversation about the WILD and the ETERNAL.    Rene Marie graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in Psychology and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University in England, with a specialty in innovation and entrepreneurship. She describes herself as a mystic, a witch, rogue Catholic, and loving wife of Dr. Sayida Peprah Wilson. She holds heritage from India, Caribbean Indigenous culture, and African descent.    My favorite word to describe Rene is YUMMY! Thea Monyeé surrounds herself with priests and priestesses, and Jessica Schafer is one we are thrilled to introduce to you! This episode we explore The Wild Body and how we can sustain empowered relationship with it within seemingly restrictive and even oppressive spaces.   Jessica Schaffer, Nervous System Health Educator and mentor has been many iterations of practitioner in her professional life the past 26 plus years. From body worker, to Reiki practitioner and teacher, to spiritual companion and shamanic guide, to wellness mentor. And having recently lived through the loss of her long-time mate and the alchemy of allowing grief to re-constellate her, she is now re-discovering herself as an artist, illustrator and greeting card designer (On IG: @thechrysalisimagery).   In June, 2022, she launched The Chrysalis Imagery, a space of incubation for inspired imagery.  The Chrysalis Imagery offerings include a unique line of greeting cards that normalizes and speaks authentically about the grace and grit of everyday life.  From navigating adversity, to loss and grief, and simple expressions of love and appreciation, these messages touch the heart of human experiences.   She can be found online at www.thechrysalisimagery.com and www.NervousSystemRESET.com    On Instagram @thechrysalisimagery and @NervousSystemRESET and on Facebook at @JessicaSchafferNervousSystemRESET After you listen, be sure to check out our links to support this podcast (email list, join our Patreon, join our text community!) and our latest offering, HOLD US SACRED RETREATS, and sign up to join us in person in transformative Sharm El Sheikh. Our Day Ones will remember that Akilah S. Richards is STS’s very first guest!    She is back and fully charged for a thick and rich conversation, WE ARE SOVEREIGN.   We are born sovereign beings, and systematically taught to surrender our agency and power the moment we are born. Akilah dedicates herself to the liberation of all bodies through the reclaiming and remembering of that sovereign power, and brings her brilliance to STS for this moment, and this conversation.   Akilah S. Richards founded Raising Free People Network as a media and collaboration hub for her inquiries, efforts, findings, and community organizing at the intersection of privilege, parenting, and power. Follow her on social media @fareofthefreechild on IG!   You can support Akilah’s work at the links provided, and after you listen, be sure to check out our links to support this podcast (email list, join our Patreon, join our text community!) and our latest offering, HOLD US SACRED RETREATS, and sign up to join us in person in transformative Sharm El Sheikh. For our closing episode of our Love Series, we had to invite our beloved Ebony Janice Moore back to discuss that amazing and also terrible thing called LOVE (IYKYK!) How do we know if we are loving in the right timeline? Who’s time/pace/path are we following in our love journey? How have we sanitized love and not embraced the shadow wisdom love can provide? Join us as we explore these questions and more in our heart expanding 58th episode!!! EbonyJanice Moore is a womanist scholar, author, and activist doing community-organizing work, most specifically around black women’s body ownership as a justice issue, black women’s access to ease, joy, and play, and Hip Hop as a tool for sociopolitical and spiritual/religious movement making. Gentle Reminder: Take your time, take pleasure in the slow sipping<3  And please share with anyone who needs this dose of destiny and co-created love.
Talk about close to home! This episode Thea and her husband of over seven years, Mark Winkler (we ADORE us some MARK!) allow us into their world and share the tenderness of evolving love within long term relationships… Whew… This one got us a bit misty! We can’t lie! Even the birds wanted in on this conversation! Love must evolve, change, and grow. What does that look like when you are in relational agreements to grow together…no matter what comes? Mark  Winkler is an author, family advocate, and motivational speaker. Through his non-profit organization, Manhood Camp/Fatherhood  Circle, Mark provides guidance, leadership, and life-skills coaching to men and boys. Recently, Mark has centered his work around helping men and fathers take a new look at and approach to manhood through his work he calls De-Radicalizing Masculinity.  Gentle Reminder: Take your time, take pleasure in the slow sipping<3  And please share with anyone who needs this dose of destiny and co-created love.
As we continue our LOVE SERIES, we welcome our very own Tamikka Claybrook to share her thoughts and beliefs around SOVEREIGNTY, FREEDOM, and LIMITLESS LOVE. Tamikka is a Thought Partner and Dream Strategist relentlessly focused on creating space for each individual to experience the joy, wellness, and freedom that comes with fully embracing their authentic self and life’s purpose. It is this expansive nature of her approach that creates a joyful and grounded space for clients to thrive. What we love most about this conversation is that she invites our non-human family into this shaping love process, using personal examples from her own human and non-human relationships to share how she has arrived at her definition of LIMITLESS LOVE. Gentle Reminder: Take your time, take pleasure in the slow sipping<3  And please share with anyone who needs this dose of destiny and co-created love.
Welcome to episode three of our LOVE SERIES, where we are sitting in delicious communion with each other and LOVE. Our guest. Maimouna Sene can best be described as a traveling human being, painted with komplex colors, shaped by multiple lenses. We are so grateful she chose to bring these komplex colors and shapes and lenses to our STS audience.  Being multilingual, Maimouna and Thea engage in a layered conversation about the impact of language on love, love expression, love expectations, and more! Gentle Reminder: Take your time, take pleasure in the slow sipping<3  And please share with anyone who needs this dose of destiny and co-created love.
Are you ready to enjoy a delightfully full and flowy conversation between our Thea Monyeé and her seven part Aries/All part Goddess daughter Talani?   Talani is a multifaceted artist who could turn thrifting into an Olympic sport and loves exploring food and cooking, amongst so many other wonderful aspects of her being.    This conversation couldn’t be titled until it was experienced and is evidence that wisdom is not bound by age. PRO TIP: You will need a pen and paper, and you will also listen again and again and again.   Gentle Reminder: Take your time, take pleasure in the slow sipping<3  And please share with anyone who needs this dose of destiny and co-created love.

This episode is a heart opener for those of us who have never experienced true safety in our bodies, and our environments. The kind of love and safety that disarms us and cradles us into sweet transformation, from rock to water, from fire to wind. Apologies for two mispronunciations. Sharm el Sheik (should be pronounced Sharm el *Shake) and the name Mahmoud should be pronounced Mah-*mood). Please listen with an open heart and it is our deepest prayer that you are feeling safe and precious in every way imaginable Remember to like, share, and review!
