Commentary Podcast Yolanda has had such an interesting life and has seen bands that we could only imagine to have seen. In Part 2 we continue were we left off in Part 1 https://omny.fm/shows/making-of-a-musician/season-2-episode-3-yolanda-ingley-ii-part-1 Yolanda talks about influences, singing, Australian bands playing randomly on a Wednesday afternoon in the 60s, how song writing happens, can happen and how it starts. This episode also has a awesome story with a chance meeting with Paul McCartney. You will have to listen to see how this goes. Like a real chance encounter! I now realise after my whole time on this Earth why my older brother is named Paul, after that Paul. I can't talk really my youngest son is named after Miles Davis and the knowledge that Miles Brown from Art of Fighting was a nice guy. Season 2 Episode 3 is dedicated to Steve Dagg. You can hear him play in the Swinging Sidewalks in this playlist on youtube. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEhTJzncsVRhOdx6L6DbyFirKdIMmpl2d&si=nBYrdKvYg7F2hnCe If you would like a list of the songs used in this episode go to this page, scroll to the bottom and find and click on Yolanda's picture. The question I forgot to ask Mark the most, is did he ever ask his Mum when she found the guitar? You will have to listen to find out why I would have that question. In Part 2 of this chat with Mark James is where you can hear 2 musicians of the same age from different parts of the world talk about Music. Kristy explains to Mark the best things about Manchester music and Mark calls Brisbane a name she had not thought of and tells her why it has fantastic music. This is an excellent episode where we talk learning instruments badly, song writing processes and how musicians think. Great Australian songs, comfort albums and best songs of all time are also included. Hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed talking to Mark. Also his music is awesome! Episode 2 features Mark James from Salford in Great Manchester. Making of a Musician's first international guest! As a fan of many bands from Manchester I really loved talking to Mark, who likes Australian music more than what comes from Manchester, and really who wouldn't except probably me. He has an eclectic amount of music produced and created from punk guitar to ambient dark synth instrumentals to experimenting with themes like Halloween, he has a great musical story and such a wide range of musical taste from Glam to Grandaddy. Listen to part 1 to see how his musical journey started and what impact Beach Boys had on him. Mark is the founder of Untidy Music. Music Commentary Podcast. This episode is dedicated to Steve Dagg. Yolanda Ingley II has a story of migration, Australia and how women still are the back bone of successful men at the detriment to themselves and their talents. It is hard to find many men that would do the reverse. Warning: We swear in this episode. We all need to thank the wonderful Steve Dagg for bringing Yolanda out of the kitchen and into our speakers. Yolanda has a voice to remember. A talent nearly lost to time and I wish everyone knew her songs. If you ever think you are too old please listen, if you are sacrificing your soul for others maybe Yolanda can help you dream for more. A story of how music can change paths, bring love and sorrow. But it's better to be blue and have loved than not love at all.
