In this episode, I explore what attracts narcissists. Despite common belief, narcissists are attracted to everyone - not just empaths. Empaths are often groomed to normalize and accommodate narcissistic people. Therefore, it's not surprising that they often find themselves surrounded by more toxic people.   Sign up for the Recovering From Men on the Down-Low Workshop for Women    Sign up for the Letting Go of the Dishonest lifestyle Workshop for Men:   Fill out form for suggesting future workshops by Dr. Natalie Jones   Watch the video podcast on Youtube: A Date With Darkness Email questions or comments to Dr. Jones admin@drnataliejones.com Sign up for the free ebook on Red Flags in Your Relationships and the free weekly newsletter for tips about narcissistic abuse at www.drnataliejones.com Individual and group membership coaching sessions opening soon. The Romance Scammer

The Romance Scammer

2024-09-2230:56

Romance scams are rising through the use of online dating apps and social media. People are being targeted for money, sex, resources, and affiliations by people who they fall in love with but have no idea who they really are. The scammer lives multiple lives and often discards one victim after the other, leaving a trail of destruction. You often find out how much they don't care for you after they are long gone and have ruined your finances. By the time you wake up to the scam, they are already on to the next victim. No one is exempt from this scam, and people who are vulnerable, elderly, successful, and celebrities are often targeted. Cluster B Free Me

And I get it, she's "a professional" but, she sounds like the type of professional that would re-traumatize a Survivor of Narcissistic Abuse all over again by telling them--its not the abuse you suffered that's the problem--the problem is YOU and how YOU look at what occurred... So this long drawn out DIATRIBE about being in various stages of healing, was nothing more then because you knew exactly how indifferent this woman was. So either you are just as indifferent and feigning to be empathic to other Survivors, or you rationalized that depending on where they were in the recovery... that her talking to your listeners with a CONDESCENDING TONE and where I am in my recovery, is trusting my instincts. So I'm unsubscribing. Too many fake Narc Experts Online Now looking to exploit other ppls pain and suffering for their own gain.

Cluster B Free Me

Why would you bring this woman on your show when you have a podcast dedicated to Survivors or Narcissistic Abuse? She sounds like a Narcissist herself or some self-help GURU that has no knowledge of personality disorders. So MOST of what she talks about isn't applicable to a relationship with a Narcissist. She works with INMATES . And IT SHOWS. And I feel it was IN BAD TASTE that she was a guest. You have a guest that you have to repeatedly attempt to CLEAN UP her blatant indifference. She's talking about EMOTIONS as if they are IMAGINARY.
