Jesus told His followers to pay attention to the signs of the times — to notice what was happening beneath the surface of culture. Today, one of the clearest signs of the times isn’t found in headlines; it’s found in our playlists. We’re beginning a new series called Songs of the Times. Each week, we’ll take a modern, secular song that’s resonating in our wider culture and ask what our songs say about us and what the gospel might say back. This week's talk explores Alex Warren's song, Ordinary. You can watch the Ordinary by Alex Warren music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ah9tWTkmk&list=RDu2ah9tWTkmk&start_radio=1 and at the end of Matt's talk he plays Tenth Avenue North's song, Control - here is the Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/track/0pAPFaE1Iwfvex9EVJuQlG
