Music Monday Ep. 151: This week we have another new band that is introduced to the channel! For the first time, I am reacting to TOOL. This is an older song, "Forty Six & 2". My client, Chad told me to do some reactions on them and then one of my best friends, Dakota has also been a big fan of this group for a long time. He has been letting me for awhile that Maynard and his multiple bands are such a pleasant listen to the human ears. Another great choice! Instagram: https://www.instagram...
Music Monday Ep. 150: This week we indulge in such a tasty treat, which is a Mac Miller and Thundercat collaboration. The team up on the song, 'She Knows Too Much'. There is also a animated music video that goes along with the track. This joint feels funky, groovy, and psychedelic. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less. The chemistry is easy to identify when these super powers team up. You can tell they were true friends at the end of the day. Mac's legacy lives on forever and I rea...
Music Monday Ep. 149: This week we check out a collaboration that turned out to be pretty sick. Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry team up on the track, 'Hive Mind'. I was also able to watch the music video. It is amazing when you get to see three of your favorite worlds collide. Metal, Rap/Hip Hop, and Skateboarding. This was an insane track to listen to! Music Monday Ep. 148: We have another return the channel, which is Mr. Tom MacDonald. The is called, "Pray For The Left". I was also able to watch the music video on this. As expected from the title, Tom is his views on the democratic side of the aisle. Some of the things he says in this song are very accurate and should be considered by everyone who listens to the track. We have some slight disagreements but I think in majority he is spot on. Music Monday Ep. 147: This week we have Ren returning to the channel. I listened to one of his newest songs, "Vincent's Tale - Starry Night". I was also blessed with watching the music video. Ren really killed it on this song, as he tends to do with every of his that I've ever heard. The constant switching of different sounds really keeps you on your toes throughout the whole experience. His lyrics go very deep in this song as well. Amazingly crafted song! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com...
Music Monday Ep. 146: This week we have a collection of three new artists on the channel. Maxo Kream, Denzel Curry, and JPEGMAFIA teamed up on the song, "FAKE JEEZY". A lot of high energy was displayed from Curry and Kream. JPEG offers no feature on the track but apparently his contribution was by producing the song. I also got to check out the music video. Hopefully an extended version will get released sometime in the future! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
Music Monday Ep. 145: This week we go right back to A$AP Rocky. His new album, "Don't Be Dumb" dropped last Friday. In this video I review the first song off of that album, "ORDER OF PROTECTION". Rocky is back in full force on this album. So far from what I have heard off of the project, it sounds just as experimental as, "Testing" did. A$AP starts out the album with some unapologetic energy. Music Monday Ep. 144: This week we bring one of my favorite artists to the channel; A$AP Rocky. His new album, "Don't Be Dumb" drops this Friday. The song I listened to is the first single off of that album. It is titled, "Punk Rocky". Since the recording of this video he has dropped another single, "Helicopter". I also decided to watch the official music video for this reaction. Rocky always delivers! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
Music Monday Ep. 143: This week I take on a suggestion from my mom. She has been telling me for awhile that I should check out the song, "Carolina Drama" by The Raconteurs. There are a bunch of lyrics and storytelling going on in this song, so it was a little hard to follow that aspect. I really enjoyed the instrumental throughout the song though. I kept saying in the reaction that it has a frenetic pace to it and that guitar pulsed itself all the way through the entire song. Good choice, Deb...
Music Monday Ep. 142: This week we explore Tyler, the Creator once again. On Christmas Day this year he dropped a new song titled, "SAG HARBOR". It also coming with a nicely wrapped music video. His flows on this song are fantastic. The instrumental is great. His harmonies and singing is beautiful. Nobody does it quite like this man. Hopefully this song will lead us to a new album in the not so distant future. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
Music Monday Ep. 141: This week I decided to do something a little different. Normally you would get a music reaction from me. We know that at the end of each year, everybody is showcasing their Spotify or Apple Music Wrapped Playlists from the music that they listened to the most over the entire year. I thought it would be fun, cool, and different to show you guys mine. Obviously we still have to get through the rest of December, so mine will entail the music I have been listening to from Ja...
Music Monday Ep. 140: we are back with another music reaction after a little hiatus. This week I decided to react to a video off of the YouTube channel, "There I Ruined It". This channel uses AI to mashup songs from different popular artists and musicians. The specific video I chose has to with the rock collective, "The Red Hot Chili Peppers". I give all of my thoughts in regard to use of AI and how it could potentially alter the course of human history. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p...
Music Monday Ep. 139: We have another week of Chris Webby! This time I start by diving into his series of songs called, "Raw Thoughts". In this first iteration in the series, you can tell that he is leaning liberal. I wonder how much that is going to change as we continue to listen to the newer tracks. He went full blown ballistic on this track so I can't wait to see what he does next! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
Music Monday Ep. 138: This week we check out a music recommendation from a former client of mine, James. He sent me two songs from an artist known as Chris Webby. The first song I checked out called, "Back On My BS". I also was able to check out the official music video for this specific reaction. So far he is giving me Eminem type of vibes. Music Monday Ep. 137: We are back with another music reaction and we have a return to the channel, Mr. Oliver Anthony. He dropped a song and music video for the song. The song is, "Only God Can Save Us". Enjoy the full reaction here on YouTube. Audio is available on all podcast platforms when you search, "Nurture the Mind". This week we stray away from Music Monday for a second and talk about a subject that has been stuck on my mind. It feels like time is speeding up more than I would normally notice. Do you guys notice this as well? Am I going crazy? It is something I can't ignore anymore and well, I decided to make a video about it. Really curious to see if you guys share the same thoughts as I do. Let's start a conversation over here! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
Music Monday Ep. 136: This week we continue the theme of Tom MacDonald. It is a somber and heavy moment though. We are talking about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The song from Tom is called, "CHARLIE". I also watched the music video. It is really short at 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I wonder how Tom gets these song and videos out so quickly when a major event happens, just like the time when Donald Trump was grazed in the ear. The emotions and the rawness are well evident in this reaction...
Music Monday Ep. 135: This week we return to Tom MacDonald for a music reaction. Within the last few weeks, he dropped a song, "The Devil Is A Democrat". There is also a music video that he dropped for this song. It appears that Tom is going after the California politician, Gavin Newsom in this song. Apparently Gavin has since had his own response to Tom's song. The stab from Newsom is highly ironic because he claims Tom likes men. It is meant to be a dig from the governor who is in heavy sup...
Music Monday Ep. 134: This week we bring back to the channel one of my favorite artists of all time, Earl Sweatshirt. He is a dad now of two. He is married. The song I chose to listen to is called, "TOURMALINE". The new album he dropped is, "Live Laugh Love". And it feels like Earl is actually embracing that title. He life noe exuberates living, laughing, and loving. Cool to see him make this transition from other darker albums like Feet Of Clay, I Don't Like Shit I Don't Go Outside, and Some...
Music Monday Ep. 133: This week we check out the country artist known as HARDY. The song was recommended to me by my former client, James. He said I needed to check out the song, "JACK". So I did while managing to also watch alongside the official music video. As always, it was a great and fun experience. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pootsiemama/
