That night, Mia tossed and turned in bed. She scrolled through old photos—worship team pics, youth camps, moments where she felt seen and important. Now she felt… invisible. Replaced. She closed her eyes, trying to pray—but all she could hear was her own voice from earlier. “Why her?” “I deserve to be noticed.” “I’m better than her.” Suddenly, Mia felt a strange heaviness. Not on her chest, but deep in her heart. Like something had gone numb. Her chest tightened. She couldn’t cry. She couldn’t even pray properly. Her heart felt… cold. As if something inside had been covered in ice. Join us as we dive into the story of Mia - the modernised story of Miriam found in Numbers 12:1-16 ALSO We did a mic roam and asked girls your age about racism or feeling left out. Miriam collapsed to the ground. Her skin… was white. Snow white. It was like watching life being drained from her. Leprosy. Her hands were cracked, her face pale and covered in white blotches. She gasped. “What’s happening to me?!” Aaron’s face turned ghostly. “Miriam…” he choked, falling to his knees. “Dear God, no.” He turned to Moses, who had just come running. “Please, brother! Don’t hold our foolishness against us! We were wrong—we sinned! Please, pray for her!”   This week we dive into the story of Miriam and her leprosy - you can find it in your Bibles in Numbers 12: 1-16.                                    ___________________________________ READ STORY ON THE BLOG Contact us to sign up Visit our website Artist of the month: Morgan Harper Nichols Keep in the loop by signing to our GIGI Notes HERE DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE  Hosts: Esther & Steph Mix & effects: Stephanie Giselle Purple Planet Music https://www.purple-planet.com/ email us: writegigi5@gmail.com Write by post GIGI Teen Radio PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt QLD 4122 music credit: Purple planet music All music played on the podcast radio is covered under the APRA AMCOS Online Mini Licence.

“Ayyy, Jordan!” He turned. He turned. It was Paris—19, popular, confident, and the daughter of the gym’s owner. She came in often, usually just to scroll on her phone at the juice bar or flirt with the trainers. Jordan had always been polite to her but kept things light. He could sense she liked attention, and he didn’t want drama. “You’re still here,” she said, leaning on the doorframe. “It’s basically just us.” Jordan smiled politely. “Yeah—closing shift. Just about done.” Paris stepped inside slowly, letting the door swing shut behind her. Her eyes lingered on him. “You work hard,” she said, walking closer. “Too hard. Don’t you ever... get bored of being the good guy?” Jordan chuckled nervously. “Not really. Someone’s gotta be.” She moved closer, lowering her voice. “Come on, Jordan. You’re always so serious. You could relax a little... just this once.” Her hand touched his arm. His heart jumped. He stepped back gently. “Paris, I don’t think this is a good idea.” “Why not?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. “No one’s here. I won’t tell.” He paused. Everything in the room suddenly felt heavy. Quiet. Still.                        Join us as we dive into the story of Jordan and Paris - the modernised story of Joseph and Mrs. Potiphar found in Genesis 39. One late afternoon, as the shadows stretched long and the palace began to cool, Joseph passed through the inner hallways of the house carrying scrolls. The wind blew softly through the open windows, rustling linen curtains. A voice called gently, “Joseph.” He turned, and there stood Potiphar’s wife, dressed in fine silk, her eyes fixed intently on him. “Yes, mistress?” he asked politely, lowering his gaze respectfully. Her voice was smooth like honey. “Come and lie with me.” Joseph’s heart pounded. He froze. The silence between them thickened like desert heat. He took a step back. “No, my lady. My master has placed everything in this house under my care. He trusts me completely. How could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” But she didn’t give up. Today's story can be found in Genesis 39.                                                            ___________________________________ Read story on the blog Visit our website Artist of the month: Casting Crowns Keep in the loop by signing to our GIGI Notes HERE DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE  Hosts: Esther & Steph Mix & effects: Stephanie Giselle Purple Planet Music https://www.purple-planet.com/ email us: writegigi5@gmail.com Write by post GIGI Teen Radio PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt QLD 4122 music credit: Purple planet music All music played on the podcast radio is covered under the APRA AMCOS Online Mini Licence.
Opening the paper in her hand, Ava felt the blood drain from her face. Her hand began to shake. She was going to be sick. This was not happening. This was not happening. This had to be a nightmare. Dropping the paper, she was ready to run off, but the two apes on either side stopped her, one of their large hands pressing down on each of her arms, pinning her in her seat. Ava trembled with anger, but it was quickly replaced with hurt and utter humiliation. She wished she were dead.                          Join us as we dive into the story of Ava's story - the modernised story of the adulterous woman found in John 8:1-11. Before she could gather herself, they dragged her—rough hands and louder shouts. She stumbled, nearly barefoot, over broken stones and scattered straw. Her hair fell from its covering. Her eyes stung with dust and shame. “Adulteress!” one cried. “To the Teacher!” The Temple steps rose before her like a wall of judgement. The sun had risen higher now, casting sharp shadows on the white stone courtyard. People crowded in to see what the uproar was about. Yael’s heart pounded as they pushed her forward. She fell to her knees, gravel biting into her skin.... She had arrived. Racing out the door of his home, Ashton almost tripped over himself, making sure he didn’t keep her waiting. And there she was, getting out of the black, sleek BMW sports car her parents had gifted her for graduation. Sleek and beautiful, just like her. She was everything anyone could wish for. She looked like a model straight out of a magazine, and she was here for him! The slight movement of her lips indicated she was happy he'd come out to greet her. "Jayla, so glad you could make it. Come in and meet my friends." Ashton grinned, taking her slim, smooth manicured hand in his. "It's not going to be a church thing, right?" Jayla’s tense voice asked as she slightly pulled back on his hand. "No, no," Ashton hastened to assure her. "It’s just a party with some people I go to church with, but no church stuff." Ashton promised. The slight movement of her lips showed he had answered correctly. Ashton smiled and pulled her along.                                 ____________________________________________________ Join us as we dive into the story of Jayla and Ashton, the modern Jezebel and Ahab.  “What are you planning?” He stretched his neck, trying to decipher from where he sat what she was writing. She did not reply.  He did not ask again; instead, he rubbed his beard, deep in thought. Jezebel folded the scroll, placed his seal over it, and rang the gong. Elana watched in fascination as a soldier entered from the side door and bowed. Jezebel stretched her arm with the scroll. “Take this to the elders and nobles who live in Naboth’s city, and tell them I command they do as this says.” The man took the scroll, bowed, and left the room. Jezebel rubbed her hands together. A satisfied look registered on her face, her amber eyes slanted and malicious. Ahab reached for her hand and pulled her with force onto his lap. “What did you write?” She placed her hand around his neck and leaned her embellished head onto his. “I have proclaimed a day of fasting and have requested they seat Naboth in a prominent place amongst the people so—” “Prominent?”  She placed her index finger on his lips. “Shh. Once he is seated, two vagabonds will accuse him in front of everyone that he has cursed both God and the king.” An ominous smile crept over her red lips. “The town will be horrified to know Naboth has turned against you, and they will stone him to death—when that happens, you are to take possession of your vineyard!” Ahab stared at his wife with his mouth agape. He blinked a few times......                                 ____________________________________________________ This week we are looking at the story of evil queen Jezebel and King Ahab. Then suddenly, she locked eyes with him! "Hey, aren't you part of those freaks?" she accused. Pete felt like he swallowed a rock. What could he say? Then, with a mind of their own, his lips parted, and he croaked out a no! "Yeah, she’s right," a member of the opposing team stated. I'm sure I've seen you at the stations with the other goodie two shoes," he smirked. Pete felt his face grown hot as more eyes turned to watch him. "I don't know them," Pete growled. "Yeah, I've seen you, plus you talk and act differently. ," someone Pete wasn't sure he'd seen agreed. Pete couldn’t take it. He felt humiliated. Suddenly, like something out of a nightmare, Pete heard words come out of his mouth. He didn't even realise he knew.  He cursed and yelled, denying any affiliation with the church or Pastor Jay.                                 ____________________________________________________ Join us as we dive into the story of Pete, the modernised Peter. The courtyard seemed to grow quieter, the murmurs of the crowd fading into the background. Peter’s thoughts were loud in his mind, accusing and relentless.  Before he could finish the thought, yet another voice called out. This time it was an older man, his face partially hidden by the shadow of his hood. “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him earlier?” he asked, his voice laced with certainty. Peter’s heart felt like it would burst out of his chest. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms, and his words came out in a panicked shout. "I don’t know him! I swear, I don’t!" At that moment, a sound pierced the cold night air—a rooster crowing. Peter froze. He turned his head slightly and saw Jesus standing, watching him. Peter gasped. There was no anger in Jesus’ eyes—only deep sadness and pain. Join us as we dive into the story of Peter from the bible. His story can be found in Luke 22:54-62.  Today we are going to talk about: If you have ever denied knowing a friend or a sibling? Have you ever been betrayed and hurt by a friend? Looking at her watch, she groaned under her breath and wished she hadn’t rostered Mia on to help her any of the nights.  Makenzie stormed out of the kitchen and into the church, narrowing her eyes when she saw Mia inside just standing there listening! How irresponsible!    “Why aren’t you in the kitchen helping me? She hissed, pulling her sister out the door. “Sorry, but I love when Sally and her sister sing. The whole program has been amazing. You’ve missed 3 nights already. You ready shouldn’t be stuck down there.” “Do you think people want cold food, Mia? "Martha’s chest tightened with frustration as she slammed the clay pot back onto the table. The clatter echoed through the house. She couldn’t understand it. Didn’t Mary care about their reputation? How could she sit there, doing nothing, while there was so much to prepare? Her mind buzzed with a flurry of emotions: irritation, exhaustion, and, deep down, a flicker of envy. Mary looked so peaceful, while Martha felt like a storm—wild and chaotic." Join us as we dive into the story of Martha from the bible. Her story can be found in Luke 10:38-42.  Today we want to talk about one part of the story and what it means.  "Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Zoe rolled her eyes at each photo she scrolled through on social media feed–she paused at the photo of a family - she felt sick looking at their faces and fake smiles. Not that anyone would know those smiles were fake. They looked so genuine and super happy. The whole family looked picture perfect. They were dressed impeccably. The twins looked like dolls with their red hair and freckled smiling faces - big dimples dances on their little cheeks. The brother looked handsome in his dark suit and polka-dot bow tie. The older girl was dressed in a pretty blue dress and Nike sneakers–she had a big grin on her face as she posed next to her mother and brother–but her green eyes held a tinge of sadness. Tears welled in Zoe’s eyes as she studied the photo - feeling angry, she tossed the phone across her bed. It rolled, then dropped to the carpeted floor with a soft thud. “Fake! Liar!” she seethed under her breath. She hated those photos of her and her family–fake and fake. It has only been three days since her parents have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, so the events of the day were fresh in her mind. Join Esther and Steph as they talk about how hard it is to fake what's going on...Tune in to find out the rest of the story.                                                    ___________________________________ Read story on blog  https://www.gigistorylibrary.com.au/the-masked-reality-navigating-the-pressure-to-pretend/ Visit our website: https://www.gigistorylibrary.com.au/ Shop our books Sign up to our GIGI notes Keep in the loop by signing to our GIGI Notes HERE DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE  Hosts: Esther & Steph Mix & effects: Stephanie Giselle email us: writegigi5@gmail.com Write by post GIGI Teen Radio PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt QLD 4122 music credit: Purple planet music
