That's why I set up Student Travel Tips. With this podcast, I will interview guests or friends of mine who have travelled extensively and want to offer their wisdom to you. I'm back with another episode of the Student Travel Talk Show after a very busy few months. This week I'm joined by travel content creator, entrepreneur and blogger, Jeff Jenkins. After being introduced to Jeff aka @chubbydiaries__ by a friend, I was quickly amazed by his online presence. With over 20,000 followers, he is an award winning content creator helping plus size travellers see the world. He tells me all about his love of travelling,  his first experiences abroad in Japan, building wells in Rwanda and finding his niche. Jeff is an inspiring entrepreneur and alongside his own platform, he talks about the Black Travel Alliance, a group of black content creators hoping to amplify the representation of black people in the travel industry. Jeff will make you smile, so check it out. I hope you enjoy our chat.@chubbydiaries__ www.chubbydiaries.comwww.studenttraveltips.co.uk @studenttraveltipswww.blacktravelalliance.com
Whilst at university, many people decide to embark on a year abroad. And so they should. It’s an unmissable opportunity for excitement, adventure – but it is not a year-long holiday. To bridge the gap between expectation and reality, Lily Donnelly speaks to Rosa Cecilia about being an intern at Vogue Paris, a short stint in Sicily and the importance of doing what’s right for you whether or not it is part of your original plan. You may be able filter your photos, but you cannot airbrush what’s right in front of you. Anyway, what’s a journey without a bump in the road?Instagram: @itsrosacecilia@_lilydonnelly
My good friend Ieuan is the celebrity guest on our third episode of Student Travel Talk Show. Since 2017, he has been living and working in Australia after being inspired by The Traveller’s Guide to the Planet and has learnt a thing or two in the process. From getting your regional work done first to choosing to live in the moment, Ieuan shares everything you need to know before moving down under. As an intrepid traveller who has ventured through Asia, Central and South America, he knows how to look after himself on the road and tells us how to do the same. What is the moral of the podcast, you ask? Think twice before accepting a helping hand.I hope you enjoy the podcast!Warning: Does contain explicit materialBe sure to check out all our amazing travel advice on our website www.studenttraveltips.co.ukFollow Ieuan's journey: @ieaunpainterjonesCheck out our Instagram too: @studenttraveltipsuk
This week, I'm joined by Travel and Mental Health Writer Emily Nagioff. Emily was determined to change her life around after being diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety. She moved to Spain for two months to learn Spanish, flew to South America, travelled around India, explored Malaysia, ventured around SE Asia and started life in Australia before flying back to London just before the COVID crisis hit. She blogs to raise awareness of travelling solo as a female in the hope to be able to help those in a similar position and in turn feel less lonely and isolated. Alongside this, she provides tips to fellow travellers, with or without mental health problems, to make their adventures easier to organise! In this podcast, we talk about it all and more in what was a very enjoyable podcast. Enjoy!www.emilyseyesexplore.com @emilys.eyes.explorewww.studenttraveltips.co.uk @studenttraveltipsuk
Have you ever arrived in a city of 9 million people and are about to embark on a 21,000km race through 17 countries without boarding a single flight and not a phone in sight? No...? Nor have I. That's what goes down on BBC's hit series Race Across The World and I've got series 2 participant Lizzie Slater on for Episode 1 of the Student Travel Talk Show. She spills all and tells us what goes on when the cameras are off. It was a pleasure to have Lizzie on the show and I hope you guys enjoy! For more, head over to www.studenttraveltips.co.uk and follow us on Instagram @studenttraveltipsuk.
