We recently got to talk with Misty about her newest book, "Spark Your Influence: Inspiring Women to Lead with Boldness, Purpose, and Passion."  As we go through our day-to-day routines, it can be easy to underestimate the influence we have in the world around us. It's especially during difficult or busy seasons when we feel spread thin. Sometimes we are scared to step forward in faith, or we just aren't sure where or how to start.  In this episode, Misty shares her heart for helping women find their passion and purpose, and how we can have influence anywhere, in any season, even without a giant platform or social media following. You'll be blessed by her heart for encouraging and inspiring women, and learn how to "spark your influence" in your everyday life. About Misty: Misty Phillip is a trailblazer, leader, entrepreneur, and award-winning author known for empowering individuals through faith-based initiatives. It can be easy when we read stories of great faith in the Bible or other books to feel like our stories are insignificant by comparison. The truth is, our stories are just as impactful because the same all-knowing, all-powerful, and loving God is also working through us. In this episode, we'll talk about the purpose of sharing our stories and the impact that they can have on your faith and on others. We'll also dive into how to share the hard parts of your story in a way that glorifies God, guards your heart, and redeems pain for purpose.  Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. We all have a need to be seen, known, and loved. But it's not always easy, as women, to feel that way in our broken world. Difficult circumstances and painful experiences can even leave us questioning how God feels about us. But when we look in the Bible, we see that God has seen, known, and loved His daughters, since the beginning of creation. In today's episode, we'll share some examples of women in the Bible and how God went out of His way to love, honor, and restore their equal value to men, in a culture that treated them like second-class citizens. As we dive into scripture, you'll be reminded of your true and unshakable worth, as fellow image-bearers of God and co-heirs with Christ. Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. We live in a world where we are addicted to hurry and busyness. This results in a culture that leads to burnout, weariness, and being constantly exhausted…even after a vacation! We could all use the rhythms of rest and sabbath to help us create the space to hear from the Lord and bask in His presence. There is a beauty to rest that helps us find balance in our busy world. In this episode, we'll talk with one of our Revive Conference breakout speakers, Mary Adele Wilcox, to discover the antidote to weariness and busyness and how we can draw near to God through the spiritual rhythms of rest and sabbath. About Mary Adele Wilcox: Mary-Adele grew up as a pastor's kid in Corvallis and Sherwood. Following in her mother's footsteps, Mary-Adele became a teacher and currently works as a 2nd-grade teacher in the school district that she attended as a child. She has served at Northwest Christian Church in worship ministry and children's ministry for several years. Mary-Adele currently lives in Newberg with her husband, Kieric, and their spunky, troublesome little corgi, Archibald, and is expecting her first child in July. So exciting!! We can't wait for you to hear what she has to share. Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. As the year wraps up, we are also wrapping up season 5 of the Experience Revival Podcast! We've been talking a lot this season about how we can abide in Christ through spiritual rhythms and practices, and how we can see where God is working and join him. We hope this time leading up to Christmas will be a time when you can look back on all that God has done in your life. We also hope you can experience the hope, peace, and joy that God can give us, even amidst the busyness of this season. Today on the season finale of the podcast, we'll reflect on ways we can experience God through this time of Advent and take a look back at some of the ways God has been working through Revive Ministries this past year. This is also the time of year when we take a break from the podcast so we can focus on time with our families through the holidays and as we prepare for the 5th Annual Revive Women's Conference! We'll kick off Season 6 of the podcast with some amazing guests and new topics in the Spring! We hope you'll be blessed by this episode!  Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. We all make mistakes and experience guilt when we mess up, but what do we do when we feel stuck in guilt and shame, even over seemingly little things? In this episode, Summer talks with special guest, Amanda Swick about the difference between Holy Spirit conviction and being weighed down by self-condemnation. Learn how the Apostle Paul dealt with some of the same frustrations we do, and how because of Jesus, we too can rejoice in the love of God and be set free from condemnation. A little about Amanda: Amanda is a writer for Revive Ministries and a regular speaker at the Revive! Conference. She is a pastor's wife and a homeschooling mother to 3 handsome boys. She and her family live in Prineville, Oregon, and have been ministering with the Prineville Church of Christ for the past three years. Before that, they spent 10 years as college ministers at Oregon State University. Have you ever felt like your calendar has a life of its own, and you're just getting swept along in the momentum? We know in those seasons of life, it can be especially hard to find a quiet moment to connect with God. Sometimes we can feel like God is distant or hard to find. In this 12-minute episode (cause we know life is hectic), we want to encourage you that God is never far away. He is right beside you, walking with you every step. We pray that your cup will be filled as we share one of our favorite Psalms and that it can be a beautiful reminder that God is always with you.  Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. You may have heard the phrase, "Promises were made to be broken," but we are loved by a faithful God who never breaks His promises. In this episode, we'll talk about some of the promises we see in the Bible and how because of God's character we can stand firm, even when the world feels like it's shifting under our feet. We'll also learn that by being intentional about how we answer "yes" and "no" in our own lives, we can reflect God's character into the world around us and point others to Him. All this season, we've been discussing the Holy Spirit and its power to make us more like Jesus as we follow Him. In this episode, we'll talk about our identity as God's children and the awesome role we are invited to as Christ's ambassadors. We'll also discuss how to give others and ourselves grace when we fall short, and how through the power of the Holy Spirit, our lives can be a sign and a foretaste of the Kingdom of God. For a lot of us, reading the Bible can often feel like one more thing in a long list of things that we are "supposed to do as good Christians". But spending time in God's Word can be so much more than an item on a checklist. Because on every page, God's unchanging and loving character is revealed. Through God's Word, we can begin to see and experience His radical love for us as we learn His heart and see it in action.  In this episode, we'll discuss how studying the Bible can give us a deeper understanding of what God is like, and help us to connect with Him personally, by looking at the life of Jesus.  We'll give you some good places to start reading the Bible, as well as some practical Bible study resources, whether you're diving into God's Word for the first time, or trying to find your Bible study groove again. From beginning to end, the Bible is the story of God's loving pursuit of His people. It is our prayer that by the end of this episode, you'll be inspired to curl up with your Bible, and journey deeper into your relationship with the God who loves you.
